Asteroids of Your Name & Love Astrology
Asteroids are a fun addition to your astrology learning once you've mastered the planets. There are thousands of them (currently over 20,000!), so it's impossible to know and use them all, but they can be interesting. You can look them up in your natal chart and you can track them like a transit planet.
One set of asteroids you can look into are the asteroids that are just names. Lots of asteroids are just names, named after those who discovered them or others. You can find the asteroids of your first, middle, or last names, or of your nicknames, and they can almost operate like an alternate Sun.
You can use these in love astrology analysis too! By using the asteroids for your name and the asteroids for the name of your beloved.
Asteroids of Your Name Transits & Love
When the transit asteroid of the name of your beau aspects your natal planets, or the transit planets aspect your natal asteroid of your beau's name, this can show developments and higher energy with them, good or bad.
Hard aspects (squares and oppositions) may show fights (especially with Mercury, Mars, Uranus, or Pluto), or dealing with them may be more of a challenge (like they're more distant with Saturn or Neptune, too unstable with Uranus, too stubborn with Venus, a little demanding with the Sun).
Beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) can show happy developments between you, and can be good times to further the relationship and take next steps (like moving in together or getting married), to go on dates or vacations together, or anything else that's just a pleasant thing between you. The energy can be easier for simply getting along.
I often find that when someone comes into your life, an asteroid of their name is prominent for you at that time. It may be that the transit asteroid of their name conjuncts one of your natal planets or angles, or that there's a progressed aspect involving the asteroid of their name, or an eclipse. Or it may be reversed, and the asteroid of your name is big for them. But usually, when it's important for both of you, then both of you will have it!
Asteroid of Your Name & Synastry
No surprise, but there's usually some strong synastry with the asteroids of yours and their names as well. They may aspect one another in your natal charts; the asteroid of one person's name conjuncts a natal planet or angle or Lunar Nodes in the other person's chart; the asteroid of one person's name makes lots of aspects to the other person's natal chart; or the asteroid of one person's name fills a hole in the other person's chart, like occupying the empty leg of a t-square or being in the missing sign of an element to form a grand trine.
By itself, the name asteroids may not show that much, but if someone's name is important in your natal chart, they are likely going to show up at some point. This may just get triggered by transits and progressions and actually bring that named-person into your life.

Saturn in Astrology
In astrology, Saturn is the planet of restriction and limitation. In your natal chart, Saturn shows areas where you have lessons to learn and may be a late bloomer in life until you've learned them. Transit aspects with Saturn can be times of progress and responsibility (with the easy aspects), or times of confinement and limited options (with the hard aspects). Overall, what Saturn wants is to teach us how to do things the right way and for the right reasons so we can grow and mature.
Uranus in Astrology
In astrology, Uranus is the planet of change. In your natal chart, Uranus shows areas where you can experience many changes in your life, and you likely need change, and to keep things different and interesting. Transit aspects with Uranus can be times of major change, good or bad. You may be more in control of them with the easy aspects, and have them come out of nowhere with the hard aspects. Overall, what Uranus wants is to teach us how to be open to the unconventional and be more innovative to explore new sides of ourselves and grow.
Saturn Square Uranus in Astrology
Saturn square Uranus in the natal chart can show someone who may struggle with balancing the traditional with the unconventional. This is a lesson that must be learned, how to balance the two and allow yourself to be creative and inventive while still being disciplined and productive.
When transit Saturn is square natal Uranus, you may want change that isn't an option and are more impulsive, or you may want things to stay as they are but they don't. Work at change in a smart way. When transit Uranus is square natal Saturn, this can shake things up in your life, and you can experience unexpected events that make you feel insecure and unstable, or you might create a major change of your own. You need to exercise self-control and be smart with changes, but also not avoid them.
With Saturn square Uranus in transit, this aspect impacts all of us, and we may struggle with the traditional and unconventional. We may feel stuck in some ways and want changes that aren't really possible right now, or we go about trying to make them and create bigger problems than we already have. Or we may feel like everything is changing too much and we want to slow it down, or we try to slow it down and get hit with even bigger changes.
Saturn is security and stability, and Uranus disrupts that. Uranus is change and the new, and Saturn restricts that. It's a little damned if you do, damned if you don't.
With Saturn's involvement, we likely have lessons we need to learn first before we can achieve anything. We need to do things the right way, for the right reasons, and be smart. With Uranus involved, we do need change. We need to move forward toward the future and embrace it. We just have to be thoughtful, cautious, and plan it out rather than being impulsive, impatient, and rebellious. Smart, smart, smart!
Saturn-Uranus Square of 2021
This aspect goes exact 3 times, so it's in effect almost the whole year, which is why it's going to dominate. Add in that Jupiter and Saturn are in Aquarius, which is naturally ruled by Uranus, and it's a big year for change!
The dates this aspect goes exact are:
February 17th @ 7 degrees 13 minutes
June 14th @ 13 degrees 6 minutes
December 24th @ 11 degrees 5 minutes
If you have any bodies in your natal chart between 5 and 9 degrees, you may be feeling the impact already as it's around the first time it goes exact. If you have any bodies between 9 and 13 degrees, you'll feel it around the third time it goes exact in December. If you have any bodies between 11 and 15 degrees, you'll feel it around the second exact in June. Anything between 9 and 13 degrees gets impacted the whole entire time!
You're mostly going to focus on whatever that body rules in your chart. Those areas of life get the focus of this energy, and you have to go about change and embracing the new and future in a smart, planned way. Don't give in to frustration or overwhelm.
For the aspects, these are the aspects depending on the sign of the natal bodies being impacted for you:
Aries - sextile (positive) Saturn and semisextile (positive) Uranus
Taurus - square Saturn and conjunct (amplifying) Uranus
Gemini - trine (positive) Saturn and semisextile (positive) Uranus
Cancer - quincunx (challenging) Saturn and sextile (positive) Uranus
Leo - opposite (challenging) Saturn and square Uranus
Virgo - quincunx Saturn and trine Uranus
Libra - trine Saturn and quincunx Uranus
Scorpio - square Saturn and opposite Uranus
Sagittarius - sextile Saturn and quincunx Uranus
Capricorn - semisextile Saturn and trine Uranus
Aquarius - conjunct Saturn and square Uranus
Pisces - semisextile Saturn and sextile Uranus
Also, Jupiter squared Uranus earlier this month and was in orb until yesterday (January 26th). There's no overlap between the two aspects, but Jupiter has already been getting us ready for this energy. What are you going to do with it?

Saturn is a pretty well-known - and feared! - planet, and rightfully so. Saturn is the teacher, the taskmaster, who demands we learn as much as we can, and we grow, mature, and evolve into better people. When we avoid this, Saturn punishes us.
With the areas of life ruled by the house transit Saturn is occupying in your natal chart, you can experience challenges. Energy may be restricted and limited, and you have extra responsibilities. You can get overwhelmed more easily, and have to avoid cutting corners. There are lessons to learn, and once you learn them, you can make progress. But it can take a while to get to that progress, even when doing everything right.
Saturn spends about 2-3 years in each of your natal houses, and it's usually hardest at the onset and for the first half. If you have learned lessons, things start to improve during the second half of the transit, and you can get big rewards sometimes at the very end. Saturn wants to make sure we're serious about what we've learned and have actually learned it before letting us off of the hook.

Surviving Transit Saturn in the Houses:
Transit Saturn in the 1st House
The 1st house rules the self, so when transit Saturn is in the 1st house, you can feel restricted and limited overall in your life. You may have way more responsibilities, and have to do absolutely everything the right way and for the right reasons, otherwise punishment awaits you at every turn. You may feel like things aren't very fair, and more is being demanded of you than is reasonable.
How to survive:
Well, you kind of have to suck it up to an extent. You have to do everything the right way and for the right reasons, and that's that. It's not going to be super easy, but that's okay. Saturn doesn't throw more at you than you can handle (that's Pluto's job). So even when it feels like too much, it really isn't. You can make it. It can help to try and find some breathing room where you can, some space within all of the limitations.
Transit Saturn in the 2nd House
The 2nd house rules money, so when transit Saturn is in the 2nd house, it often triggers a period where you have less money, or you at least feel like you do (so even if you don't, you may be paranoid about it). This house also rules your values, so you may question the values you have, what you value in life, and you may experience a decrease in self-esteem and confidence.
How to survive:
Financially, you'll need to make sure you're paying close attention to every penny, and you'll want to be smarter with your financial choices. Save more, spend less, and think about the future and how to plan for it. At the same time, you don't want to be a complete miser (Saturn will punish that too!), so so be thoughtfully generous. If you question your values, assess if they really are the right ones for you; and if you feel more insecure, this is likely highlighting something deeply rooted that needs to be addressed.
Transit Saturn in the 3rd House
The 3rd house is communication and expression, so when transit Saturn is in the 3rd house, you may be quieter, not speak up as much, and this can make you feel misunderstood (though you're not really saying what you want to say). You may have a hard time being optimistic, and can look at everything a little too realistically.
How to survive:
It's okay for you to be alone with your thoughts, and if you're not comfortable with that, it may be pointing out something within that needs to be worked on. Take this time to be more thoughtful with your words. A realistic outlook can be helpful for planning, but if you're rejecting imagination, that isn't really helping, so try to balance both reality and whimsy.
Transit Saturn in the 4th House
The 4th house is the home and family, so when transit Saturn is in the 4th house, you may have challenges at home or with your family. You may spend less time with them, you may need to move in a way you're not happy with, or you may feel like you're emotionally sullen. This is also the bottom of the chart, so it can feel like you bottom out in some way in your life.
How to survive:
The 4th house rules emotions, so this is a time for you to tackle emotional issues, especially any related to or caused by your family and upbringing. Get at your core and dredge up that sludge that needs to be eliminated. It can be an emotional period but one that ends up freeing by the end. Find what home and family means to you, and create it the way you want it to be. It's also helpful to have a solid support system during this transit, or build one if you don't already have one.
Transit Saturn in the 5th House
The 5th house is the house of love, so when transit Saturn is in the 5th house, you may feel like the love is gone from your life. You may have less time for loved ones, romance may be nonexistent, and you may lack time for doing the things you love too. Hobbies get pushed aside, and inspiration may dry up, leaving a bout of creator's block.
How to survive:
Work on your connection to your heart. If you're really struggling, you may not have had a good connection to begin with. Work to be more heart-centric in your life. There are likely issues related to love that need to be addressed, but don't just think of love of others - challenges with self-love is often the culprit. And try not to be hard on yourself if you don't have the time for fun you used to. It'll come back eventually.
Transit Saturn in the 6th House
The 6th house is the house of work, daily life, and health, so when transit Saturn is in the 6th house, you may struggle with the work you do, wanting to do something else, or not getting the recognition you deserve. You may be dissatisfied in your daily life, but are unsure what to change (or scared to). You may have little health issues pop up periodically, and it may be a challenge to find a cause.
How to survive:
Saturn in the 6th house points out everything you're unhappy with in your daily life. The unhappier you feel, the worse it gets! So try to do things every day that make you happy. If you loathe your work, try to change it. If your routine is boring, make it exciting. As for health, this is often linked to one thing - stress! Saturn loves to stress us out (it's like a sick game), and the 6th house rules stress. Tackling stress is often the key to getting a handle on your health issues during this transit.
Transit Saturn in the 7th House
The 7th house rules your relationships and the people in your life, so when transit Saturn is in the 7th house, you can experience challenges in dealing with others. People may leave your life, whether of their own accord or your choice. It can be a little emotional, and you may feel at times like you don't have as many people you can count on as you'd thought.
How to survive:
Saturn in the 7th house wants you to get serious about your relationships and commitments to others, so it weeds out the people who don't really care about you, or who you really don't care about, or who you have outgrown, or who are no longer a benefit to your life. This can be difficult to see in the interim, but is ultimately necessary. The relationships that survive can be in it for the long haul, and you can have a better view of what a healthy relationship is.
Transit Saturn in the 8th House
The 8th house is the dark house, the one where our demons lie, so when transit Saturn is in the 8th house, you may be forced to confront things you've hidden away deep down inside of you. The bad parts of yourself, the bad experiences and traumas, all of it gets shoved away, and Saturn brings it right out into the cold light of day for you to see in all its hideousness.
How to survive:
Of course there's a reason for this - you shouldn't be shoving everything away! It's okay to put things aside in the moment, when you don't have the time or the focus or the wherewithal to deal with it, but it should *stay* that way. That's when it becomes bad, and Saturn let's you know that. So dig deep, way down deep, to face the things you've been running from. Recognize the darker parts of yourself. And work on ways of dealing with it that are positive and healthy. This can be a very heavy transit, but is one meant to leave you much lighter.
Transit Saturn in the 9th House
The 9th house rules expansion, so when transit Saturn is in the 9th house, you may struggle with finding opportunities at times, feel like you can't think bigger or brighter and have to be realistic, and can box yourself in a little bit. This house also rules beliefs, and you may question the beliefs you have and feel disconnected.
How to survive:
Give yourself as much space as you can find without taking it away from others. This can help you make use of opportunities when they come, and not be so pessimistic. Find positive ways of expressing yourself, and this can turn your mood around too. As for your beliefs, if you question them, they may not be in alignment with who you are now, and this can prompt you to find new beliefs that are.
Transit Saturn in the 10th House
The 10th house is the house Saturn naturally rules, so when transit Saturn is in the 10th house, you can get extra responsibilities and lessons heaped on you if you haven't learned them yet. You may experience setbacks with your goals, and feel like you're uncertain of your direction in life. You may lack the connections you need, and not get the recognition you deserve.
How to survive:
You have to be an ultimate Saturn, and do things the right way and for the right reasons, manage your responsibilities as best as you can, and be honest with yourself about your lessons. In this way, it's very similar to the 1st house experience. But you also need to stay disciplined and focused on your goals and ambitions, and keep at it through the setbacks and delays. The 10th house is the highest part of the chart, so you can get rewarded in a big way once Saturn is at the end of this transit if you do things right (and if you were doing things right all along, you usually get rewarded at the start of this transit instead of the end).
Transit Saturn in the 11th House
The 11th house rules your hopes and dreams for the future, so when transit Saturn is in the 11th house, you may feel like your hopes and dreams aren't realistic and you should give them up. You may be less hopeful and more pessimistic about the future. You may box yourself in and not allow yourself to be innovative or a true individual. And with this house ruling friends, you may see friends go from your life.
How to survive:
Don't automatically give up on your hopes and dreams, and instead just work on being more disciplined and smarter with them. Put together plans, do research, and gather information. When you're smart about it, Saturn can help you get closer to what you want. As for friends, the ones that leave are likely ones that were never really friends to begin with, or you simply outgrew, and it's time for better, healthier friendships.
Transit Saturn in the 12th House
The 12th house is the house of the hidden, the subconscious, and the past, so when transit Saturn is in the 12th house, you may need to take a big step back away from any attention and can feel easily drained by others. You may be easily overwhelmed too, and old issues from the past can rear their ugly head. Your subconscious motivations and desires can cause more problems, and you can feel weighed down by the past.
How to survive:
This is a time when you need to take that time away, from the spotlight, from crazy work and demands, and be much more introspective. It's an amazing time for therapy of any kind, if you're open to that. The more quiet time you get to reflect, to think about the past, to consider every situation and trauma, the more you can learn about yourself, and the more you can let go of. This is the last house, so it's a time to let go of that old baggage, but you need to do some understanding with it first. Clearing it out can help you in a big way when Saturn moves into the 1st house, and it's not as bad.

As we moved out of Capricorn Season and started Aquarius Season yesterday, we're focused on the new, the original, the future, and the unconventional. Capricorn Season was a last hurrah for Capricorn as the 2020 Capricorn stellium came to an end in December, and Aquarius is the dominant energy for 2021. Which we feel super strong now!
If you're an Aquarius (Sun, Moon, or Rising), or you have a strong natal Uranus (the natural ruler of Aquarius), you don't need anyone to tell you this - you know it, you feel it! Fellow air signs Gemini and Libra can fare better during this time, along with fire signs Aries and Sagittarius. Fellow fixed signs Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio may have to put in extra effort.
This Aquarius Season is elevated not only because Jupiter and Saturn are in Aquarius (so we've got an Aquarius stellium cooking), but it's also elevated thanks to Mercury retrograde in Aquarius January 30th - February 20th. That doesn't automatically mean it's going to waste though - not if you know what to do and what to focus on!
About Aquarius Energy:
Aquarius is the sign of the unconventional, the different, the weird. This is a sign that doesn't want to be stuck in the traditional. Its previous sign, Capricorn, is the traditional one. Aquarius wants to move away from that and expand the way we express ourselves.
When you're an Aquarius native (or have a strong Uranus or stacked 11th house, which corresponds to Aquarius), there is likely something (or multiple somethings) weird about you, but you may not see this as a bad thing. Instead, it's more like a badge of honor. You recognize that it's part of what makes you who you truly are, a pure individual and iconoclast.
If the energy is very strong for you, you may scoff at the traditional ways and have to learn how to use it when warranted. But most Aquarians understand that sometimes the old ways are needed, and don't completely avoid them. You just know that it doesn't have to be that way always, and there's room for more growth when you open up your options.
Aquarius Season Horoscopes:
(read your Sun and Rising signs for a more accurate view; if you don't know your Rising sign, go create a natal chart for free on astro.com and use the video on the Free Astrology Courses page to find your placements; and remember that horoscopes are meant for "entertainment purposes only" - use good judgment!)
Aquarius Season is a big deal for you when it comes to embracing your individuality and being true to who you are, Aries. It's a lot easier for you, and you can feel it's so important, like you can't breathe if you're not being your real, unconventional self. This Aquarius Season likely wants you to focus on ways you've been blocked from doing that, and remove those blocks so you're even freer to be unapologetically who you are. Try not to doubt yourself too much, and recognize when you're just giving in to pessimism about situations.
Aquarius Season is usually a time that shines a light on your goals and where you're going in life, Taurus. You can go about achieving and succeeding and making progress in your own way, and this may be completely against the grain, but you can rock it. This Aquarius Season likely wants you to assess where you've been boxing in, which responsibilities have been holding you back, and how your light has been a little stifled. If you haven't been able to take your own approach to what you strive for, this may be a time to change that.
Aquarius Season is the season where you can focus on expanding, exploring, and having new experiences in your own way, Gemini. This can help you open up more to opportunities, and you can feel true to who you are. You may give more attention to your beliefs, and you can embrace the quirkier one that you have. This Aquarius Season may cause you to focus on your beliefs, and work on blocks that have kept you from being able to live according to them. If you've felt like you're boxed in, this keeps you from having the experiences you want.
Aquarius Season brings you to the more serious aspects of your life, Cancer. You can focus on finding solutions to complicated problems, but the solutions you have are different, unique, or discovered in your own way. You're not usually the most unconventional sign, but this is one of the ways that you are. This Aquarius Season likely urges you to think outside of the box more to find solutions, to find strength, or to find personal power. Try not to shy away from these things, and understand that transformation can be a good thing now.
Aquarius Season lights up your relationship sector, Leo. This means you take a different approach to your relationships, appreciate different relationship setups, or you attract Aquarius-types to your life and like people who you see as rebels. This Aquarius Season might bring out some troubles in those relationships, and anything that hasn't been dealt with may seem unbearable. Take your own approach to them, and find new, different ways of working them out. Just make sure the other people are on board!
Aquarius Season activates your work sector, Virgo. For such a conventional sign, you're someone who likely wants to stay on your toes when it comes to the work you do, and everything you focus on daily. Without that, you get bored, fast. This Aquarius Season can highlight ways that you have gotten bored, areas where things have been stale and you haven't shaken things up in a while. It may be little things, in small ways, but it can make a big difference. Also make sure to take care of the routine stuff (even if in your own way!).
Aquarius Season stirs up energy in your love sector, Libra. You are the sign of relationships, so a little focus on love can be pretty comfortable for you. But when it comes to love, you can take your own approach and deal with love in your own unique way. This Aquarius Season, you may need to work on issues that have caused your love relationships to grow stale or boring. Work them out, and connect to your heart. Being more heart-centric can help with maneuvering through this season. Treat it well.
Aquarius Season focuses on your home and family life, Scorpio. You're likely someone who creates your own family in your own way, usually with people you aren't actually related to, and whose dream home life is not really the standard, but you love it. This Aquarius Season may trigger emotional issues that need to be addressed in order for you to feel comfortable and supported. If you've felt boxed in lately emotionally, that can make you feel incredibly uncomfortable and stir up some deep issues. Tackle that.
Aquarius Season stimulates your mental energy, Sagittarius. You're a pretty engaging sign anyway, but now you're even more active. You likely want to chat about everything and have a million ideas, but you're thinking outside of the box with those ideas, and you're expressing yourself in your own way. This Aquarius Season may prompt you to work on blocks that have kept you from being as open as you'd like to be. If it's felt like you've needed to be ultra practical and traditional, you can address the core reason for that.
Aquarius Season slows energy down for you, Capricorn. It's been such a high ride for you over the last year+, and now you finally get a break. You can work to be more present and grounded, and you can do so in unconventional ways. This Aquarius Season can help you focus on ways you haven't been able to do that and areas of your life that need some of that grounding energy. Allow yourself to be present, and find ways to do so that are unique and all your own.
Aquarius Season is your season, Aquarius, and this is a big deal for you! You can focus on what you want to move forward with for the next year, and you can go about it in your own way. This Aquarius Season is even bigger for that, and what you focus on now can be a focus for not just the next year, but many years (or even decades) to come. No pressure! You may first need to work on blocks for this though, and ways that you get in your own way, what you lack patience with, or what has been ignored. Address impulsive behavior and improve your smarts.
Aquarius Season is a quieter time of the year for you, Pisces. You likely want some time to yourself, to rest and recharge, and you can find ways to do this that are unconventional or new. You can feel more true to yourself when you're away from the spotlight and not being bothered by others. This Aquarius Season may drain you much more, and there may be some old baggage that needs to be released or addressed. It may feel like you don't get to be as true to yourself as you'd like, but this may be pointing to a subconscious block that you need to become more consciously aware of.

Going into February soon! This month comes with a new moon in Aquarius and a full moon in Virgo. Let's review what to expect!
If you want to keep track of the planets and events every month (like new & full moons) make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet!
What is a new moon?
A new moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact same position in the Zodiac (called a conjunction). New moons are related to beginnings, have high energy, and are enthusiastic.
What is a full moon?
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact opposite positions in the Zodiac (called an opposition). Full moons are related to endings, culminations, and are emotional energy.
New Moon in Aquarius: February 11th 2021 (2:06PM ET/11:06AM PT)
The February new moon occurs in air sign Aquarius, and we can pursue opportunities to be more independent, to do things in new ways, to think outside of the box, and to make changes. It's all about change at this point in 2021, and we can feel motivated to take action with them. We just need to make sure we're smart about them!
We may want to connect with friends or expand our social circles, and we can pursue opportunities to do things with friends, in groups, or that further causes we believe in. We can be more idealistic and hopeful, and want to push for a better future.
Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius with this new moon, but isn't actually conjunct (aligned with). So the new moon can bring some focus on the retrograde energy, but it may not be super strong. It can be helpful for second chances, and that can be strong energy around the new moon. What would you like another shot at? This may be focused on the areas of life ruled by the House the new moon and/or the Mercury retrograde occur in, and aspects made to your natal chart by either/both.
The new moon occurs at 23 degrees 17 minutes Aquarius, The aspects to this new moon are:
Conjunction: 21 degrees 17 minutes - 25 degrees 17 minutes Aquarius
Sextile: 21 degrees 17 minutes - 25 degrees 17 minutes Aries or Sagittarius
Square: 21 degrees 17 minutes - 25 degrees 17 minutes Taurus or Scorpio
Trine: 21 degrees 17 minutes - 25 degrees 17 minutes Gemini or Libra
Opposition: 21 degrees 17 minutes - 25 degrees 17 minutes Leo
Full Moon in Virgo: February 27th 2021 (3:18AM ET/12:18AM PT)
The Virgo full moon helps us focus on what we need to get done, and we can be much more productive and efficient. We can get organized, make lists, and tackle all of the little things. This can help get us back on track as we come out of the Mercury retrograde and need to smooth things out.
Virgo rules work and daily life, so if what you do on a daily basis is what you love, you can get rewarded with opportunities. If what you do is something you hate, you may experience challenges and setbacks. Try to consistently do what you're passionate about in healthy, positive ways.
Virgo also rules health, maintenance, and stress, and Virgo full moons can be fairly stressful, so try to have a healthy, positive outlet for stress management. If you're not feeling very good physically, this may be stress manifesting for you in a tangible way to get your attention.
This full moon is trine (positive aspect, 4 signs away) transit (moving) Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the natural ruler of Aquarius, so that change energy continues even with this full moon. We can feel more comfortable with the changes we're working on, and can finalize plans for change or finish changes we've already begun. We can work independently or in groups, and we can keep an eye on the future.
The full moon occurs at 8 degrees 57 minutes Virgo. The aspects to this full moon are:
Conjunction: 6 degrees 57 minutes - 10 degrees 57 minutes Virgo
Sextile: 6 degrees 57 minutes - 10 degrees 57 minutes Cancer or Scorpio

Jupiter in Astrology
In astrology, Jupiter is the planet of expansion. It expands on both the good and the bad. It's fairly neutral like that. But Jupiter is an optimistic planet, so it does want things to turn around, and will work with you when you try to make it a little easier. The problem with Jupiter is we can get lazy, lackadaisical, and motivation can be difficult to harness.
Uranus in Astrology
In astrology, Uranus is the planet of change. Uranus wants to move us forward toward the future, and prompts change to do that. Uranus understands that we need to change in order to grow, so that's the job of Uranus. But we all know how resistant many of us are to change, and that can annoy Uranus and make things more difficult.
Jupiter Square Uranus Astrology
In the natal chart, Jupiter square Uranus can show you're someone who is a rule breaker, a rebel by nature, someone who pushes against the norms and feels comfortable doing so. Your own beliefs may be a little out there, a little future-minded, and this can make it a little challenging to be understood by others who haven't caught up with you yet. You're highly independent, so you probably don't need their understanding anyway, but you may need to be more practical sometimes.
In aspect to your natal chart, transit (moving) Jupiter square your natal Uranus can make you want to make big changes, but you may have trouble seeing all sides of it, only focusing on the positives and not being realistic. It can be good for planned changes and change you've already researched. Transit Uranus square your natal Jupiter can make you desperate for freedom, independence, and change. You can be more impulsive, and need to get control over that so you don't rush into anything you shouldn't. But it can be a good time to break out of a rut and bring fresh air to your life.
In transit, Jupiter square Uranus is a time to change. The way things have been can become intolerable, and we're desperate to change that. This can be a good thing if we're not impulsive and impatient, and thinking it through. That's sort of the big rub, because we don't want to pause to think about it - we just want to do it! There can be suuuper rebellious energy (and perhaps actual rebellion), and any way we've been boxed in or held back from being our true selves, we can rage against.
We're clearly much more open to change, so it's a good time to do it, but we have to be smart. Time to turn the page, yes, but burn the whole book? Uh, maybe not!
Jupiter-Uranus Square of 2021
The Jupiter-Pluto conjunction of 2020 went exact 3 times, but the Jupiter-Uranus square of 2021 only goes exact once in a few days, on January 17th with both at 6 degrees, Jupiter in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. It's in orb (in effect) January 9th - 26th.
If you have any bodies in your natal chart at 6 degrees, it'll get hit by this square directly (and you'll likely feel it if you have anything between 4 and 8 degrees, it'll just be strongest at 6 degrees). The aspects are if your planet is in the sign of:
Aries - sextile (positive) Jupiter and semisextile (positive) Uranus
Taurus - square Jupiter and conjunct (amplifying) Uranus
Gemini - trine (positive) Jupiter and semisextile (positive) Uranus
Cancer - quincunx (challenging) Jupiter and sextile (positive) Uranus
Leo - opposite (challenging) Jupiter and square Uranus
Virgo - quincunx Jupiter and trine Uranus
Libra - trine Jupiter and quincunx Uranus
Scorpio - square Jupiter and opposite Uranus
Sagittarius - sextile Jupiter and quincunx Uranus
Capricorn - semisextile Jupiter and trine Uranus
Aquarius - conjunct Jupiter and square Uranus
Pisces - semisextile Jupiter and sextile Uranus
Bodies in Aries, Gemini, Capricorn, and Pisces have the best energy; bodies in Leo and Scorpio have the most challenging.
No matter what though, anything at 6 degrees gets heightened, regardless of the actual aspect, and whatever that planet or body rules in your natal chart is elevated in your life with this aspect. So pay close attention to it, and use it properly!
