Transit, or moving, Uranus toured air sign Aquarius from April 1995 to late 2003, roughly. Uranus is an outer planet, along with Neptune and Pluto, and the outer planets are considered generational planets because large swaths of a generation have them in one sign. Each of these three take their time moving through the Zodiac, so large groups of people born in a range of years are bunched together. Transit Uranus in Aquarius coincides with the first half of Generation Z. This generation is said to go from 1995-97, up to 2010-12. Millennials, the previous generation, are tied to Pluto at home in Scorpio, which ended in 1995, so I suspect the real start for Gen Z is 1995. Alphas, the next generation, are tied to Neptune at home in Pisces, which began in 2011, so I suspect the real end for Gen Z is 2011, and this generation roughly goes from 1995 to 2011. But, only the first half of Gen Z have Uranus at home in Uranus, the 1995 to 2003 babies. The 2004 to 2011 babies don't have a planet at home, so I wonder if another micro generation will pop up. Even if it doesn't, Gen Z is likely to seem kind of split down the middle, with the first half to have one kind of personality, outlook, and attitude, and the second half being distinctly different. As transit Pluto is now moving into Aquarius, it's conjuncting (aligning) with Uranus in Aquarius, so those early Zoomers are being activated with Pluto in Aquarius. They will come to power over the next decade. But, this is challenging for them because while Pluto and Uranus are both comfortable with change, Uranus is more superficial about it at times, while Pluto demands depth. So, this group will likely face challenges first that force them to dig deeper in order to create the changes they're capable of. The Defining Moment for the Uranus in Aquarius Generation
I think we're going to end up feeling that the defining moment for this generation was the COVID-19 pandemic. Those with Uranus in Aquarius were anywhere from 16 to 25 in 2020, so young adults who were only just embarking on the world. And that world came to a grinding halt, and ideas around work goals, life priorities, and what it all means came crashing down on them, so they were asking poignant questions at very young ages.
While illness is more of a Neptune thing, Uranus and Aquarius are rulers of science and technology. That became super elevated with the pandemic. I won't be surprised if we end up seeing a larger percentage than usual of this group becoming scientists, researchers, drug developers, etc. The pandemic also brought with it major failings of governments and institutions, and the Uranus in Aquarius generation has well-earned distrust of those in power. This is something that aligns them with the Pluto in Scorpio generation, though Uranus in Aquarius is more of the rebel instead of the destroyer. Uranus in Aquarius isn't a fan of rules to begin with, so giving it a reason to distrust is a bad move by those in power. Here in the U.S., at the same time, we had dysfunction and corruption, propaganda and disinformation, resulting in January 6th. This just added more fuel to the distrustful fire for Uranus in Aquarius. Uranus/Aquarius is a very logical thinker. It's highly objective, and wants to improve life for the masses as a whole. It doesn't have a lot of patience for irrational thinking or behavior. Gun Reform & the Uranus in Aquarius Generation
Being in the U.S., I had to point out how much this group is tied to advocacy for gun reform. School shootings became a very normal, regular occurrence for them, and that was not acceptable to them, so as soon as they were old enough, they started taking the microphone for this issue. The Parkland shooting was probably the trigger event as Sandy Hook occurred when they were too young.
The Uranus in Aquarius kids took charge fast, and weren't afraid of how young they were to be doing so. They just knew something had to change, and they continue to push for it. The U.S. has natal Moon in Aquarius, and notably most of our presidents have have Aquarius in the Triad or a strong natal Uranus. I think this generation will end up being quite influential politically with their Uranus in Aquarius linking up with the USA's Aquarius Moon. The Hive Mind: The Downside of the Uranus in Aquarius Generation
Uranus/Aquarius rules the masses, groups, the collective, and like-minded individuals, which makes this group focus a lot on the impact on others. The bad side to this is the risk of falling into the hive mind, and while this group can rebel and question the rules, it may also be more susceptible to cults, propaganda, and group think.
Convincing them they're wrong can be a massive undertaking, and they may have all the facts they think are right and won't accept otherwise. They'll need to learn to assess information critically, especially considering Uranus and Aquarius rule the internet, and this is the primary way they get information. While they distrust those in power, they have too much misguided trust in the internet and social media. This means they give too much power and sway to social media influencers, as well as tech billionaires. It'll burn them at some point, but not before they've emptied their wallets and drained their bank accounts dry, so it'd be much wiser for them to proactively detach from worshipping tech. Uranus in Aquarius is detached from emotion, so it can be a challenge to connect beyond the superficial at times, and beyond the screen. This is part of the reason why they prefer online interaction to real life interaction. Then when they do feel something, they become vulnerable to being manipulated by whoever and whatever caused the emotional response. Fostering a connection to emotion is very important for this group, otherwise they may lack real intimacy and become easy prey. Collective Change: The Purpose of the Uranus in Aquarius Generation
Uranus is the planet of change. Uranus/Aquarius is comfortable with pushing boundaries, with venturing outside of comfort zones, with questioning what has always been, and with shaking up the status quo.
The main purpose of the Uranus in Aquarius generation is to create change on a mass scale. This won't be small change. This is wide-reaching, expansive, and broad. They push us all into the unconventional, and embrace the eccentric, the bizarre, and the strange. They see the glory and wonder in this, and understand that this is the only way to venture into the future. The Uranus in Aquarius generation launches the future, which just so happens to be ruled by Uranus/Aquarius. They see things very long-term, and know that what is set up now can bring results decades and generations into the future. They see beyond the present moment, and connect with the hopes and dreams of the future. I think this group is going to be incredibly politically engaged across the world; they also have Pluto, the planet of power and transformation, in Sagittarius, who rules beliefs. Governments and politicians are ruled by Capricorn/Saturn, but political [and religious] beliefs are ruled by Sagittarius. They shape the new thinking and take control of the narrative. Saturn moved into Aquarius in late 2020, as the pandemic was still at its height. Saturn depressed their energy, and limited their movement as a whole. Saturn is in Pisces now, and Pluto is moving into Aquarius in its place. Pluto brings them more power, more control, and more ability to make the change they seek. The Pluto in Scorpio generation laid the groundwork, but the Uranus in Aquarius generation will build something new on top. Pluto starts to put them in charge now, and the next decade is theirs. Suggested Reading: Forged in Fire: The Pluto in Scorpio Generation and Mystics, Misfits, and Mimes: The Neptune in Pisces Generation Transit, or moving, Pluto was in Scorpio from roughly late 1983 to late 1995. Pluto is an outer planet, along with Uranus and Neptune, and the outer planets are considered generational planets because large swaths of a generation have them in the same sign. These three planets move slowly, and bunch large groups together with their energy and impact. Transit Pluto in Scorpio coincides with the Millennial generation. It used to be if you were born in the 80's, you were definitely a Millennial, but it's shifted forward now as a micro generation popped up, Xennials, from the late 70's to early 80's. This pushed the Millennial start time to essentially coincide almost exactly with transit Pluto's entrance into Scorpio. As transit Pluto is now moving into Aquarius, this generation is experiencing their Pluto square over the next two decades. The Pluto square is a generational aspect that challenges what you've built in adulthood so far. Normally, this can be difficult, but Millennials have Pluto in home sign Scorpio. This is a generation that is used to hard Plutonian challenges, lessons, and the darkness and depths of life. It's a generation that thrives under the worst conditions thanks to Pluto in Scorpio. The Defining Moments for the Pluto in Scorpio Generation
The Millennial generation is technically Generation Y, coming after Generation X and before Generation Z. Millennials got dubbed Millennials because of the ushering into the new millenium when they were children/teens. This was seen as an important moment for the generation.
But I would argue that there were two other events that were the defining events for this generation, and they tie perfectly into Pluto in Scorpio. The first was 9/11. This was such a big event, that even if you weren't in the U.S., you felt its reverberations, and certainly the aftermath with the wars in the Middle East, which many countries participated in as allies. In some ways, 9/11 was a preview of what we have now with the interconnectedness of social media, because it was the first time we all got to see something like that play out live, on TV, for the whole world to see. We have since seen people livestream all kinds of attacks and violence online. So, even if you didn't know anyone who died, even if you didn't live in any of the places that were impacted, it was a collective trauma. This occurred when Millennials were as young as 6, forming memories that would stay with them for life; and as old as 18, looking at the world they were supposed to enter shattering. Important ages, and the collective trauma left a unique imprint on this generation. But this was entirely predictable when you understand Pluto in Scorpio. Pluto is one of the rulers of violence and war. Pluto is dark, deep, scarring trauma. The impact of Pluto isn't temporary or fleeting. It digs in and it sticks around. Fittingly, this generation was also the majority that fought in the wars that came afterward. And also fittingly, they brought to light the lasting, damaging effects of PTSD from war. Those who came before struggled with the mental and emotional impact of war just as much, but they didn't want to talk about it. Millennials did, because Pluto wants to expose what's been kept in the dark. Pluto wants brutal honesty. Pluto is the planet of transformation, and brings us challenges for the purpose of transforming us for the better. I would argue the other defining moment for this generation was the Great Recession. This was a worldwide challenge that lasted for some time even beyond what the "official" dates were for a recession. Millennials were as young as 13, up to 25. These should be idealistic ages where you're dreaming of the future you want to have, but that future was wiped out for Millennials as reality set in. This also aligns with Pluto in Scorpio because Pluto is one of the money rulers. Pluto rules "other people's money" - debts, loans, inheritances, joint finances, business finances, mortgages, stocks, investments. Makes perfect sense this recession would occur early in Millennial lives. This generation has struggled with things like buying a home, paying off student debts, leaving their parents house, or having real autonomy - all Pluto in Scorpio things. Sexual Liberation and the Pluto in Scorpio Generation
The sexual revolution came long before Millennials were born, but they brought a second, different kind - forcing the transformation of attitudes around LGBTQ+ rights. This is something we've seen worldwide, and here in the U.S., it was thrust into the spotlight with the 2008 election.
Millennials, specifically the older half, were a huge part of the reason President Obama was elected, and one of the issues they were most passionate about was same-sex marriage. Thanks to DOMA, same-sex marriage was not legal, but that was not okay with Millennials, who had grown up in a different environment than those past with more people coming out in their young lives, effectively eliminating the stigmas around it. It's no surprise that Pluto and Scorpio are rulers of sexuality. This is a generation that is far more comfortable with sexuality and sexual topics than most. Pluto/Scorpio rules what's taboo, urging us to challenge why and ascertain if it's useful anymore. Lost in Intensity: The Downside of the Pluto in Scorpio Generation
Pluto is ruler of hostility, rage, and hatred, so the Pluto in Scorpio generation may become enthralled with that at times. They can get so wrapped up in their intense emotion that they don't see the forest from the trees, and end up missing the way out right in front of them because of it.
Pluto/Scorpio is intensely emotional, but this can become obsessive, and it's easy to get lost in it and lose objectivity. This generation has to make sure it directs its hostility, rage, and hatred into something productive, otherwise it can turn inward and become self-defeating. This obsessiveness and loss of objectivity can also mean that this generation may suffer from stubbornness at times, unwilling to admit when it's wrong or to move from its position, forcing its way whether it's right or not; and that it may struggle with selfishness at times, though not because it doesn't care about others, but rather because it's too caught up in its own feelings that it doesn't consider anyone else's. The Pluto in Scorpio generation needs to make sure that it collectively directs its intense feelings about things productively, and keeps an open mind to ideas that might counter their own. Transform: The Purpose of the Pluto in Scorpio Generation
Pluto is the planet of transformation. Pluto/Scorpio is the phoenix rising from the askes. Hard Pluto tears everything down, burns it to the ground, to force a starting over, if we resist doing that of our own volition.
This means that the Pluto in Scorpio generation is okay with facing the hard truths, the darkness, the inner demons, the terrible traumas. This generation knows that it has to do that in order to get better. We've already seen this in the ways we've changed how we look at past historical figures, the tellings of certain narratives. Pluto in Scorpio wants the truth to be faced, the trauma to be admitted honestly, and the solution to be fulfilled. And if that doesn't happen, Pluto in Scorpio is a-okay with burning it all down. This generation has a way of destroying everything and being comfortable with the flames around them. The darkness is a familiar friend, likely due to the early traumas it experienced. The Pluto in Scorpio generation understands that sometimes you've got to start from zero again. It'll force the world to do that with anything the world doesn't want to deal with that has been a problem for a while. What this generation transforms can last, because Pluto transformation is the kind that stays. The groundwork might be laid to begin a whole new era, usher in a whole new way of life, and that groundwork is laid by Pluto in Scorpio. The problem for them is, they may not be the ones who build on that groundwork - that might be up to Gen Z and Alphas. So, patience, and knowing that they're doing something to improve lives long-term and not just in the moment, can prove soothing. Most Millennials also have transit Neptune in Capricorn, and younger Millennials have Uranus in Capricorn. Transit Pluto in Capricorn brought this group to power by activating these placements. As Pluto moves to Aquarius, this activates the Uranus in Aquarius generation, and their power comes next. Suggested Reading: Iconic Renegades: The Uranus in Aquarius Generation and Mystics, Misfits, and Mimes: The Neptune in Pisces Generation Generations apparently only became a thing in the 1920's, so it's only been around for about 100 years. That can seem very long in our fast-paced world of short attention spans, but in the span of history, is barely a drop in the bucket. Why is it a more recent occurrence? Because until then, pretty much everyone lived the exact same life as their parents, so there wasn't really a difference between grandparents, parents, and children. Sons worked the same jobs as their fathers, and their father's father, and their father's father's father, etc. and girls married into families of similar station (unless they got lucky and married up). So, the change in life, economic mobility (though it's super limited now in the US, but still more attainable in other Western countries), more rights being afforded to everyone, broad education, and rapidly-changing technology have created differences between grandparents, parents, and children that didn't exist before, and thus created generations. Since generations have become a thing, we're now experiencing a first: three generations in a row with an outer planet at home. In astrology, the three outer planets - Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto - are the generational planets, because they move slowly and large swaths of a generation have them in the same sign, linking people of that generation together. The Outer Planet in a Home Sign Generations:
Most Millennials have Pluto at home in Scorpio; the first half of Gen Z have Uranus at home in Aquarius; and Alphas, the kids being born now and for the last decade+, have Neptune at home in Pisces. Roughly, those born from the mid-1980s's to the mid-2020's have an outer planet at home.
I don't even know when this will happen again; I looked ahead 500 years and it's not going to for at least that long! Though there is a little gap between Gen Z and Alphas from 2003 to 2011 where there wasn't an outer planet at home, and this is basically the second half of Gen Z. I suspect another micro generation may pop up. This seems to me like this trio of generations is going to have a huge impact on the world, the kind that lasts for at least centuries. I find it interesting that this comes when we just had the Great Mutation in December 2020, where transit (moving) Jupiter and Saturn conjunct (align) and change elements (since they align every 20 years or so, and this occurs in the same element for about 200 years or so; we went from earth signs to air signs in December 2020). The Great Mutation sets off a whole new era for life. This one occurred early in Aquarius, the sign of the future and change. Fitting, indeed! Millennials have already come of age, and the oldest are now in their 40's while the youngest are just entering their 30's. With Pluto and Scorpio being rulers of sexuality, it's no surprise this generation has opened everyone up with LGBTQ+ rights; and with Pluto loving tearing everything down, this generation has been at the forefront of changes in governments. Transit Pluto currently in Aquarius is square their Pluto, a challenging generational aspect that forces transformation or upends life, so this group is facing an existential crisis now. Their response to this will be important. Much of Gen is in their 20's now, hitting that quarterlife crisis, and the older half are the ones with Uranus in Aquarius. With erratic Uranus at home in Aquarius, this generation has some frantic, scattered, anxious energy. But it's also not afraid of change and is likely to be quite the iconic generation. They've been challenging by transit Uranus in Taurus square their Uranus in Aquarius, but Uranus is moving on soon, and with Pluto in Aquarius lighting up their Aquarius Uranus, I think they'll be dominating over the next two decades. Pluto and Uranus have compatible energy as Pluto is transformation and Uranus is change, and both are willing to tear it all down to start over. Neither are afraid of change and understand its importance. It makes a lot of sense that these two generations are lumped together, referred to as the Plurals. In many ways, their fight is the same fight. This also makes sense in terms of the gap between Gen Z and Alphas. Millennials and the first half of Gen Z are directly connected, so it makes sense they would end up lumped together. Meanwhile Alphas are the kids. Interesting how they are mostly the children of Millennials, so there is a strong tie between these two generations as they sandwich Gen Z. Millennials and Gen Z tear everything down, often in a more tangible, physical way you can see with your eyes; Alphas are challenged to elevate beyond that, to connect with the soul, the subconscious, the hidden, and the intangible. Alphas will have to build on the changes that Millennials and Gen Z create. That existential crisis that Millennials might be experiencing now? Alphas might have all the answers for it. Transit Pluto will move into Pisces in 20 years, as Alphas are well into their 20's and 30's, and they'll get their power at that point, so a little bit later than Millennials and Gen Z. Hopefully that gives them some more wisdom (and the chance to grow off of TikTok?). This is a very interesting time! I can't wait to see what they do. How will White Moon Selena in Gemini impact us? What is White Moon Selena in astrology?
White Moon Selena is the perigee of the Moon, so it's the closest point the Moon comes. Selena represents protective energy, benefiting us and shining a light on the path we should take in our lives. This is one of the more helpful points in astrology.
White Moon Selena in Gemini Dates:
General Impact of White Moon Selena in Gemini:
Gemini is the sign of the mind, so White Moon Selena in Gemini can bring some protection for our ideas, our plans, our opinions, and our communications. We may feel conversation flows a little easier, and we can feel less guarded with what's on our minds.
With Gemini ruling learning, we can be more protective over learning institutions, teachers, students, and methods of teaching, writing, or speaking. It can be easier to figure out the right path to take to learn what we need to and grow. Gemini rules younger people, communities, and neighbors, so we can work on improving our connections. We can be more protective of the young people in our lives, and of our immediate environments. This can be a good time to be active in communities and helpful with neighbors. Transit (moving) Jupiter has just entered Gemini as well a few weeks before, though it takes some time for them to meet up on November 4th 2024 at 20 degrees Gemini. Jupiter is the happy, expansive planet, so riding with Selena is very helpful energy. We can feel a bit luckier, and like the Universe is on our side, especially with our ideas, plans, conversations, and learning. The December 15th 2024 Gemini Full Moon is conjunct (aligned with) White Moon Selena in Gemini, and Gemini Full Moons tend to be times where our emotions connect with our minds, and we can say what we mean and mean what we say, share what we're thinking and feeling, and can sense what people mean behind the words. With the Full Moon conjuncts Selena, this brings protective energy to the important communications we have and the big news we discover. White Moon Selena in Gemini Aspects:
White Moon Selena trines (beneficial aspect) transit (moving) Pluto in Aquarius on June 25th 2024 at 1 degree. Pluto is the planet of transformation, and is early in its time in Aquarius, starting a whole new cycle of life for us. The trine is a positive aspect, so it can be easier for us to find our path, especially the path that leads to the future we dream of. We can empower ourselves so we feel more protected as we go along. We can take control of our ideas and plans, and ideas and plans to transform can be of benefit.
White Moon Selena is conjunct (aligned with) transit Mars on July 29th 2024 at 6 degrees Gemini. Mars is the planet of energy and drive, so White Moon Selena lined up with Mars means we have lots of energy and drive for our path and direction, and our instincts can be bang on. We can take the initiative to go down the right path, and we can be enthusiastic about where we're going. We may take the initiative to protect ourselves as well. White Moon Selena squares (challenging aspect) transit Saturn in Pisces on September 26th 2024 at 14 degrees. . Saturn is the planet of restriction and lessons, so Selena making a challenging aspect to Saturn might make us feel like we're lacking focus for our path, can't see it at all, and question what we want. We may not feel like we're protected enough, and this adds to insecurity. We need to work with what we've got, and see if there's a lesson that needs to be learned. White Moon Selena squares transit Neptune in Pisces on December 25th 2024 at 27 degrees. Neptune is the foggy planet with hard aspects, so Selena square Neptune can mean our vision of our path iis obscured for some reason. Something is getting in the way, and often this is in our own minds. We're being self-sabotaging, and need to work through internal blocks. We need to ground ourselves as well and make sure we're being realistic. We need to work on healthy boundaries too, otherwise we may be taken advantage of. The Sun is the planet that connects most with who you are, showing your true self. At its core, this is shown via the Zodiac sign your Sun sign falls in as well as the natal house it's located. The planets also make what are called aspects to one another. An aspect is when two bodies are at certain distances from one another in the Zodiac. There are 360 degrees in the Zodiac, and some specific distances are an aspect. Aspects are grouped between major and minor. The major aspects are: Conjunction: 0 degrees (neutral) Sextile: 60 degrees (beneficial) Square: 90 degrees (challenging) Trine: 120 degrees (beneficial) Opposition: 180 degrees (challenging) There are also many minor aspects, a few dozen or so. Most commonly used are: Semisextile: 30 degrees (beneficial) Quincunx: 150 degrees (challenging) Quintile: 72 degrees (beneficial) BiQuintile: 144 degrees (beneficial) Semisequare (also called an Octile): 45 degrees (challenging) Sesquiquadrate (also called a Tri-Octile): 135 degrees (challenging) I've also worked with quindeciles (165 degrees; challenging), squiles (75 degrees; challenging); squines (105 degrees; challenging), septiles (51 degrees 26 minutes; often challenging), noviles (40 degrees; beneficial), and various undecims (often challenging). I wrote an article about planets 164 degrees apart (which makes them both quindecile and quinqueundecim) HERE. I personally don't use minor aspects for predictive astrology (so transits) with the exception of semisextiles and quincunxes. But in natal astrology, I did use various minor aspects. Minor aspects are relatively new though. So, once you determine all of the major and minor aspects between the planets in your natal chart, you can see how they play with one another. The aspects they make show how they work together, or don't work well together at all. They can show a harmonious connection, or one with challenges to work through. This is most obvious with aspects to your natal Sun. Since your natal Sun is your true self, you can really feel the aspects your natal Sun makes to the other natal planets. This can have a strong impact on your personality, who you are, and your life in general. Natal Sun to Natal Moon: Ego & Emotions
The natal Moon is your emotional self, what you need for emotional stability and security, and how you express what you feel. The connection between your natal Sun and Moon can be shown via the aspect between the two, and can show whether your ego needs (Sun) and emotional needs (Moon) are in sync, are compatible, or are at odds. A challenging aspect between the two often indicates lots of conflict and strife at home growing up, and this leads to inner conflict that has to be addressed as an adult.
Natal Sun to Natal Mercury: Mental Connection
Natal Mercury is your mind, how you think, how you communicate, and how you express yourself. The aspect your natal Mercury makes to your natal Sun can show how well you express yourself and communicate. Mercury doesn't travel very far from the Sun, so usually you'll only see a conjunction, semisextile, or novile between them.
Natal Sun to Natal Venus: Connect to Connecting
Natal Venus is your relationships, the people in your life, how you connect with others, and what you want/need in relationships. The aspect your natal Venus makes to your natal Sun can show how well you connect with others. Like Mercury, Venus doesn't travel very far from the Sun, so you may only see a conjunction, semisextile, novile, or semisquare.
Natal Sun to Natal Mars: Leadership Abilities
Natal Mars is energy, and shows your ability to take the lead, take the initiative, and is what drives you to take action. Easy aspects can show this is easier for you, while challenging aspects can show getting in your own way, issues with frustrations and anger, or lacking confidence.
Natal Sun to Natal Jupiter: Ability to Expand
aspect your natal Jupiter makes to your natal Sun can show whether or not you're able to embrace pursuits, and easy aspects can show an expansive attitude, while challenging aspects can show pushing your luck, being prone to excess, or arrogance.
Natal Sun to Natal Saturn: Lessons & Responsibilities
Natal Saturn shows the lessons you have to learn in this life, and the responsibilities you have, and these can be difficult until you mature and learn, and then it can become easier. Easy aspects between your natal Sun and Saturn can make it easier for you to learn your lessons and manage responsibilities, while challenging aspects between them can make it harder, and may represent serious challenges with yourself as a person that have to be worked through. You often feel limited, and have to work on opening up to options in smart ways.
Natal Sun to Natal Uranus: Individuality & Change
Natal Uranus shows where and how you need and make change in your life, and where you should embrace your individuality. Easy aspects between your natal Sun and Uranus can help you embrace what makes you different and more comfortable with change, while challenging aspects between them can make you run from change or too chaotic, and you may reject your uniqueness or push them so much that you have no place. You need to find a good middle ground, and embrace independence and individuality but not to the point of it being detrimental to you.
Natal Sun to Natal Neptune: Imagination & Intuition
Natal Neptune shows your spiritual side, your intuitive self, as well as your artistic and creative side and your imagination, and your compassion and empathy. Easy aspects between your natal Sun and Neptune can help you connect with your intuition and trust it, to help others in healthy ways, and to showcase your creativity. Challenging aspects between them can get you lost in the clouds, unable to connect to the real world at times, have little or no boundaries, and can get you stuck in being a victim. You need to work on grounding yourself, finding healthy boundaries, and utilizing creativity in a more grounded way.
Natal Sun to Natal Pluto: Power & Transformation
Natal Pluto shows how you find power and take control, and what you need to transform in life. Easy aspects between your natal Sun and Pluto can help you feel comfortable with personal power and with being in control, and you can make transformations in easier ways. Challenging aspects between them can bring lots of fights for power, control, autonomy, and there can be more conflict and issues with rage or oppression. You need to work on staying away from unhealthy fights, empower yourself without disempowering others, and it's likely that a major transformation is required of you at some point, or you may have to undergo many small ones. throughout your life.
Suggested Reading: Aspects Between the Natal Sun & Moon When you're learning about your natal chart, you may wonder what the most important planet in your natal chart is. Of course, it's usually not simple! And you need to look at your natal chart in totality to get a real idea of who dominates your natal chart. Your Chart Ruler: The Ruler of the Ascendant
The ruler of your Ascendant (1st house/Rising sign) is said to be the ruler of your natal chart, and is called the chart ruler. The ruler of your Ascendant is the natural planetary ruler of the sign your Ascendant falls in.
But your chart ruler isn't always the most dominant planet in your natal chart. What are some other instances of a dominant planet that isn't your chart ruler? Note that the examples listed below will be extra strong and more likely to be your dominant planet if they are located in their home sign (the Zodiac sign the planet naturally rules). Planets on an Angle
Planets conjunct an angle, especially the Ascendant, can be extra strong. The angles are the Ascendant (often 1st house cusp), Imum Coeli (often 4th house cusp), Descendant (often 7th house cusp), and Midheaven (often 10th house cusp).
The angles connect to the main pillars of life (self = Ascendant, home/family = Imum Coeli, others = Descendant, goals = Midheaven). They are active positions, and any natal planets conjunct an angle is elevated in your natal chart and has extra importance. This is especially going to feel like the case when it's conjunct (aligned with) your Ascendant. Because the Ascendant rules the self, planets conjunct the Ascendant are a strong part of you as a person. A natal planet conjunct the Ascendant is usually the most important planet in your natal chart, almost no matter what else is happening. Anaretic Natal Planets
There are 30 degrees in every Zodiac sign, and the last degree is 29 degrees. This is called the anaretic degree, and it's supercharged energy. In the natal chart, planets at the anaretic degree tend to go one of two ways: you play them up way too much to the point of it being kind of self-defeating, or you don't play it up at all and may kind of hide from it.
An anaretic natal planet is usually a source of major struggle because of all the energy it contains, even if you run from it. There is great potential because of this though, and once you work through the issues, it can become a source of strength and great asset. So, the anaretic planet can be the most dominant planet in your chart because of all of that energy and potential to burn you up or set you free. Mercury, Venus, or Mars Retrograde
A planet or body is called retrograde in astrology when it appears to be moving backward through the Zodiac. The planet operates differently from usual when retrograde. Mercury, Venus, and Mars don't retrograde as much as the slower planets, so when they're retrograde in your natal chart, this has a big impact on you and your life.
Mercury retrograde natives tend to struggle with this position the most, and have to learn how to best express themselves and find their voice. Venus retrograde natives have to sift through connection issues, and Mars retrograde natives have to work through issues with taking initiative and being assertive. Similar to anaretic planets, there is a lot of potential if you can work through the baggage with one of these planets retrograde, and accept that you operate a bit differently from the norm. Most-Aspected Planet
Sometimes the planet that makes the most aspects to the other planets in your natal chart is your dominant planet. That planet touches on most/all of your other planets, so it's strong in its influence on most areas of your life and personality as a result.
Slow Planet in a Stellium
A stellium occurs when 3 or more planets are together in one Zodiac sign. If you have a stellium involving the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter, and just one of either Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto, then Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto dominates the stellium, and might be your most dominant planet. These planets are very strong, and can overtake the others.
