There are 4 elements in astrology - fire, earth, air, and water - and all 12 signs of the Zodiac fall in one of the four elements. The element a sign is in can give you insight into the energy and focus of that sign, but it also can show the other signs that sign is compatible with because of elemental affinity. The signs of the same element can get along better with one another than with the other signs because you have the same base elemental energy. We often like the people who connect with the element of our Sun, Moon, or Rising. The connections tend to be strongest among the Sun, Moon, and Rising, but you can also gauge compatibility by comparing the rest of your planets and houses to the planets and houses of someone else. If you have many planets and points in the same element (like both of your Venuses are in earth signs, both of your Mars are in water signs, both of your Moons are in air signs, etc.), this can be someone you can get along well with, be attracted to, or at least understand. Fire sign compatibility
Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are the fire signs, the ones with a lot of energy to burn, extra enthusiasm and positive outlooks, and who love to be active. Bring fire signs together, and they want to get creative, have fun, and take action.
You can understand this about one another, and get along well. If you have one of these signs as your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign, you may feel you like the people who are also of the fire element. Check out: Fire Signs in Astrology & Love Earth sign compatibility
Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are the earth signs, the ones who are practical and down-to-Earth. Earth signs can take their time, have practical outlooks, and keep things steady. Bring earth signs together, and they can get things done, work hard, and ground us all.
You don’t feel the need to push each other outside of your element, and can stay by each other’s side. If you have one of these signs as your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign, you may feel you like earth element people. Check out: Earth Signs in Astrology & Love Air sign compatibility
Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are the air signs, the ones who think logically about everything, are super engaging, and love to be sociable. Bring air signs together, and they can make it interesting, get you thinking, and brainstorm ideas.
You can operate with sharp minds and wits, and get that about one another. If you have one of these signs as your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign, you can be drawn to fellow air element people. Check out: Air Signs in Astrology & Love Water sign compatibility
Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are the water signs, the ones guided by emotion and intuition, and who connect to subtle energies. Bring water signs together, and they can intuit each other’s needs, show compassion and understanding, share with one another, and offer support.
You can find connections beyond the mental and physical. If you have one of these signs as your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign, water element people can feel like who you want. Check out: Water Signs in Astrology & Love Our final eclipse for 2018 comes August 11th at 5:58AM ET in Leo. With this Leo solar eclipse, we may want to focus on love, what we love most in life, making time to do the things we love, and being with the people we love. We can connect to our hearts, and want to feel more joyful and be more playful. We can focus on the positives, and try to be more generous, and have greater warmth. We can crave more attention as well, and feel we can thrive in the spotlight. We want praise and we can feel great about ourselves when we’re being doted on. We can share our warm energy and be friendlier, more gregarious, and more sociable. We can be super creative, and can use creativity as an outlet for energy. Which we’ll likely need, because this eclipse actually has some super hard energy with it! This eclipse is conjunct (aligned with) Mercury, who is retrograde (appearing to move backward) in Leo. Oh boy! On top of which, the eclipse is square (hard aspect, three signs away) Jupiter in Scorpio, and quincunx (hard aspect, 5 signs away) Pluto in Capricorn. Talk about some hard energy! We’re going out with a bang on these eclipses for 2018. With the conjunction to retrograde Mercury, this can really ramp up the retrograde energy, and we can see some developments regarding the retrograde (could be something with a celeb, something with kids, something with love and relationships, something requiring generosity, something needing heart). It might feel like it hits us out of nowhere, and we can try to be positive and enthusiastic, but we’ve *really* got to try! Jupiter is expansive energy, so he may expand upon whatever this eclipse brings, for better or worse. He can also add in some laziness and indulgence and some desire to go to excess. Pluto might make us struggle more for power and control, wanting to dominate and go to extremes, and we likely need to be more flexible, make adjustments, and not be all, my-way-or-the-highway. With all of the fixed energy this midyear, we definitely need to be more adaptable and open, otherwise things get bad and stay bad because we’re being too stubborn to change it! This eclipse occurs at 18 degrees 41 minutes of Leo, so the aspects to this eclipse are: Conjunction: 13 degrees 41 minutes - 23 degrees 41 minutes Leo Semisextile: 16 degrees 41 minutes - 20 degrees 41 minutes Cancer or Virgo Sextile: 13 degrees 41 minutes - 23 degrees 41 minutes Gemini or Libra Square: 13 degrees 41 minutes - 23 degrees 41 minutes Taurus or Scorpio Trine: 13 degrees 41 minutes - 23 degrees 41 minutes Aries or Sagittarius Quincunx: 16 degrees 41 minutes - 20 degrees 41 minutes Capricorn or Pisces Opposition: 13 degrees 41 minutes - 23 degrees 41 minutes Aquarius Then we have a full moon in Pisces on August 26th at 7:56AM ET. Pisces brings in some compassionate, empathic energy, and we can work on being more understanding emotionally and spiritually. We can tend to soul needs, and we can connect with one another on a soul level. We can try to be sweeter with others, and take care of the most vulnerable. We can focus on our spiritual selves, connect to our intuition, and try to tone down the loud noise externally and listen in to the quiet, wise guide internally. Full moons are more emotional energy, and Pisces is an emotional water sign, so we can have some extra heightened emotions with this full moon. But we may want to keep more of what we’re dealing with to ourselves, not wanting to burden anyone else, and spending time being reflective and introspective. Pisces is the last sign in the Zodiac, and full moons are associated with endings, so this full moon may bring with it the end of something, perhaps something that has been frustrating us to no end over the last couple of months. This full moon is sextile (positive aspect, two signs away) transit Saturn in Capricorn and transit Uranus in Taurus, so we do get some nice energy here to focus on what we ultimately want, to see our path and our future, to regain some hope, and to take the long view. But this full moon also occurs the day before Mars retrograde ends, so we may be coming out of that retrograde feeling extra emotional. We need to be much kinder with one another. Gentle, gentle . . . The full moon occurs at 3 degrees 12 minutes of Pisces. The major aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 1 degree 12 minutes - 5 degrees 12 minutes Pisces Sextile: 1 degree 12 minutes - 5 degrees 12 minutes Taurus or Capricorn Square: 1 degree 12 minutes - 5 degrees 12 minutes Gemini or Sagittarius Trine: 1 degree 12 minutes - 5 degrees 12 minutes Cancer or Scorpio Opposition: 1 degree 12 minutes - 5 degrees 12 minutes Virgo Suggested Reading: The New & Full Moons page for general interpretations General horoscopes are always meant for entertainment purposes only. Aries 2017 Yearly Horoscope Aries Love & Relationship 2017 Horoscope Jupiter is in your relationship sector for most of 2017, and enters your intimacy sector in October. This can be helpful for your relationships, and you can work on improving all of your relationships, meeting new people, and strengthening the emotional bonds between you later in the year. You can feel more comfortable with commitment and the serious side of relationships in 2017. Mars is in your love sector in August, and a solar eclipse occurs in your love sector that month, so that may be a good time to meet a new love interest, if single. There are some challenges for you with love and relationships this year though, first with Venus, the planet of love, she will retrograde (appear to move backward) in you sign in March, and this can make it difficult for you to be affectionate and romantic, to meet new people, or to be patient and considerate with the people in your life, so you have to work on that. Then Mercury will retrograde in your love sector very briefly to start September, but it’ll only last for less than one week, so hopefully it doesn’t bring too many annoyances. Watch for misunderstandings or miscommunications with loved ones. There is also a lunar eclipse in your love sector in February, and this can show ending a love relationship, eliminating an issue that’s blocking you from having love, or feeling more affectionate and loving. Mars is in your relationship sector in November and intimacy sector in December, so you can end the year focused on being more serious with love. We have all heard phrases like Aries energy is full of spirit but sometimes impatient, or Capricorn is reliable but overly concerned with material gain. Each of the Zodiac signs has a spectrum of traits that range from highly functional benefits to quirks that can easily become stumbling blocks (or let’s face it, pitfalls). While we should never stereotype, this is what it means to be human and developing self-awareness makes a huge difference. From this perspective, an astrology chart is a treasure of a roadmap. It tells us so much about ourselves. Astrology spells out the limiting behaviors that are common in each sign. By combining this with behavioral psychology, we can retrain our instincts so they are no longer based on fear or false beliefs. For example, an Aries female can stop herself if her impatience starts to get the better of her. Or a Virgo man can see his attention to detail devolving into obsessive or compulsive behavior. Rather than say “I was built this” way, we make an effort and change. What Happens In Crisis Situations?
What happens to our self-awareness during crisis situations? In one of his book launches, the late Wayne Dyer stood on stage with a half-cut orange and squeezed it until the juice dripped out, telling us that when people are under pressure, that’s when we see what is inside them. We show our true colors. The natal chart, especially our Sun and Moon signs, often influence the way each of us reacts in crisis situations as they rule our spirit and emotional security.
Astrological transits can tell us when these high-stress periods will come along. So for example, if we look at Pluto and Saturn in in Capricorn, people with personal planets in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) will feel the crunch. We can use this knowledge in two ways: first, to get ahead of ourselves by using the theoretical understanding of astrology to make changes in relevant life areas. What houses and planets that will find themselves under pressure with the transit? Is there anything that you have been avoiding? The second approach to transits involves vibrational healing – using tools like homeopathy, crystals, essential oils and flower remedies to keep stress in check so that we act out less. The Benefits of Vibrational Healing
We are all made of energy, our thoughts, our emotions and even our metabolic processes. The physical body is surrounded by a light body known as the Aura; it acts as a filter for all of the vibes we send out into the world and those we receive. For simplicity’s sake, we can visualize the Aura as made up of four layers: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The Spiritual layer includes an energetic imprint of our natal astrology chart, which as we know, tells us what signs the planets were in when we were born. This filter is one of the reasons why we feel astrological transits so keenly and why we resonate with certain signs and not others. Even if we can’t spell it out, our energy body knows when we are in friendly territory.
Vibrational healing operates on the assumption that every imbalance has an energetic imprint and that we can restore balance to the mind, body and emotions with an essence that matches the imbalance. So for example, an Aries man who feels overtaken by impatience during a crisis situation could reach for the Bach Flower Remedy aptly named Impatiens, or for a Red Jasper crystal, both of which will help him calm down and focus. The same concept would apply regardless, if his natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant or another major planet is in Aries. "Do It Yourself" Remedies
There are crystals, essential oils and flower remedies for each Zodiac sign. We can use this to create grounding and centering survival kits based on our natal astrology charts. Based on my personal experience with energy healing and astrology, what works best is a survival kit with the vibration of your personal planets so that your bases are all covered, no matter what.
Below you will find the vibrational correspondences for each of the Zodiac signs. We can only work with 5-6 elements at a time to avoid diluting the effect. I would suggest beginning with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Rising Sign. If your ruling planet is not mentioned here, I would consider swapping it in – and we can use our pendulum to choose the right mix. The following crystals and remedies are vibrational matches for the Zodiac: Aries Crystals: Bloodstone, Red Jasper. Gentian Bach Flowers Taurus Crystals: Rose Quartz, Lapis Lazuli. Oak Bach Flowers. Gemini Crystals: Citrine, Agate Moss. Walnut Bach Flowers. Cancer Crystals: Moon Stone, Smoky Quartz. Larch Bach Flowers Leo Crystals: Tigers Eye, Sunstone, Clear Quartz. Vine Bach Flowers Virgo Crystals: Chrysocolla, Fluorite. Crab Apple Bach Flowers Libra Crystals: Aventurine, Malachite. Centaury Bach Flowers Scorpio Crystals: Garnet, Blue Beryl, Labradorite. Chicory Bach Flowers. Sagittarius Crystals: Sodalite, Pietersite, Red Jasper. Wild Oat Bach Flowers. Capricorn Crystals: Black Tourmaline, Jet, Obsidian. Rock Water Bach Flowers. Aquarius Crystals: Aquamarine, Amethyst. Elm and Water Violet Bach Flowers, Pisces Crystals: Sodalite, Rhodochrosite. Clematis Bach Flowers. In order to create an Aura spray, we can place a few drops of each remedy in a bottle, fill it with running water and spray it in our Aura morning and night. The exact quantities can be found on the Bach Centre website. There are a number of correspondences available and the most famous is based on a book called the 12 Healers of the Zodiac. The correspondences mentioned here are based on my own energy healing work: Flowers for Every Star Sign (link) The crystal pouch is easier to assemble so long as we remember to cleanse and program new crystals so that they are dedicated to balancing our energy. There are times when it’s very good for you to focus on improving yourself. Astrologically, you can experience this with transits involving the 1st house, Sun, 8th house, Pluto, or 12th house.
Work on Yourself With the 1st House
The 1st house is the house of the self, and also rules new beginnings, so when you’ve got planets going through this house, you can focus more on you and what you want to be doing and who you want to be.
You can also see this with sextiles and trines to the 1st house cusp or ruler. The energy associated with the 1st house tends to be positive and upbeat, so you can work on yourself in a positive, upbeat way.
You may feel compelled to work on yourself under hard aspects (squares and oppositions) to the 1st house cusp or ruler as well, however this may be prompted by some sort of challenge that forces you to work on yourself. You may have to face something you haven't wanted to.

Work on Yourself With the Sun
The Sun rules you, your true self, and transit aspects to your natal Sun can be great times for change.
Sextiles and trines can make it easier, but the conjunctions, squares, and oppositions may actually be better for working on yourself because the energy is stronger, and you can be pushed to deal with things you wouldn’t normally but need to work on.
This is especially the case with Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, but it can be somewhat upsetting. Saturn can make you feel squeezed to the point of having no choice but to work on yourself, while Uranus can bring sudden developments that throw you off and force you to make changes to improve.
Pluto is the hardest and causes the most upheaval, chaos, and strife, however hard Pluto also brings the strongest chance to work on yourself in a way that brings profound change of your life and who you are. This is the kind of transformation that lasts, and can greatly improve your life once you get through the hard part.

Work on Yourself With the 8th House and Pluto
The 8th house and its ruler, Pluto, rule transformations, as well as what you hold deep inside of yourself, and show a little of your inner darkness, so it makes sense for transits involving these two to be good for working on yourself.
These transits can be much more serious though, and can take time before you see results or feel a change. The change needs to be deep and profound.
Look for aspects by the transit planets to your natal Pluto, 8th house ruler or cusp, or touring your natal 8th house. If you're more intermediate/advanced, also look to your progressions involving the 8th house and Pluto.

Work on Yourself With the 12th House
The 12th house rules your subconscious mind, so it governs your subconscious issues and motivations, making transits to the 12th house an excellent time for working on those subconscious issues, and better understanding your subconscious motivations.
Transit Mars, Saturn, Neptune, or Pluto touring this house can be particularly good for undergoing this kind of self-analysis. The 12th house is also the last house and so is associated with endings and letting go, especially of emotional or spiritual baggage, so a lot of the work you do on yourself under a 12th house transit may be releasing of what you no longer need and has held you back.
