​The air signs in astrology are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. This trio of signs are governed by the element of air, which is a prevailing energy in their lives and personalities. Air signs tend to be intellectual, sociable, and engaging; they can also be scattered, flighty, and superficial.

Air Signs and Love

In love, the air signs in astrology bring this intellectual airy energy with them, and they tend to enjoy both dating and being in relationships. They can find someone new fairly quickly with their charm and social abilities, and more than anything, they want someone to talk to and stimulate their mind.

Gemini has endless curiosity they want you to match, while Libra has a pleasant way for communicating and doesn't want big fights, and Aquarius can open you up to brand new perspectives you never would've thought of.

The air signs in astrology can be comfortable single and committed. Either way works fine, what's most important to them is that they find an equal partner they feel connected to intellectually.

Gemini can be the one who likes to date the most, but has a surprisingly loyal side to them once they find someone they respect intellectually. Libra is the sign of commitment so is the most apt to commit of the air signs, but wants interdependent relationships. Aquarius is the most likely to just be alone, not date or commit, until they find someone that intrigues them endlessly.

When it comes to romance, the air signs can have a good appreciation for it, but they generally want to be romanced rather than do it themselves. They take a more head-y approach to romance, so they may write love letters or poetry or songs for someone they adore. While they do appreciate romance, they can do just as well hanging out in a quiet restaurant talking for hours. 

When it comes to passion, the air signs can seem very cool on the outside. It can take a lot to really rev them up. Being the intellectual signs, talking can be their foreplay! You want to turn them on? Talk to them! (even talk dirty!) The air signs wants passion to not just be physical, but mental as well. If they don't feel turned on by you mentally, they're not really interested.

Coming out of a relationship, the air signs in astrology can have an easy time. They rarely have a shortage of potential suitors, and rarely have a hard time finding someone new. Because of their intellectual approach, they can guard themselves emotionally by keeping a cool distance to protect themselves.

When you really want an air sign, you need to get them to open up emotionally. Sometimes, when they are hurt after a breakup, they will jump into something fast with someone else to either try to forget about you or try to hurt you. But most often, if they're really into you, they may just cut themselves off emotionally from someone else for a long time.
