ARIES Enjoying yourself and having a good time are what you strive for most this month. The Full Moon in your sign October 11th may drain you, giving you a responsibility you don't want or making you paranoid or insecure. Watch for being overly optimistic or overindulgent on the 3rd. The 26th brings a good work ethic and good date night. Tempers flare the 28th. Neptune and Pluto are generational planets, taking many years to go through a sign, so an entire generation usually has them in the same sign. Let’s focus on what Neptune and Pluto can represent and do! Neptune & Pluto in the Natal Chart
In the natal chart, the house position for Neptune and Pluto is usually more important for each individual than the sign position as a result of the fact that entire generations of people have them in the same sign (not really special!).
Neptune's location tends to show areas where you experience the least mental focus, the most foggy thinking. Neptune isn't very clear-headed and loves dreams, illusions, delusions, so you can be prone to not seeing things clearly with those areas. Pluto is not so foggy, Pluto is powerful and shows areas we have the most power or experience the most power/control issues in life. It's also transformative, so his location can show where we must undergo many transformations in our lives. Neptune & Pluto in Prediction
In predictive astrology, transit (moving) Neptune can show where our thinking is less clear, and we're not able to see the full details in situations. This makes it easy for us to be deceived, and we have to work on having a solid connection to our intuition to guide us on the right path since our logical mind doesn’t work as well where Neptune is concerned.
Neptune also has a "dissolving" energy, so it can also bring dissolvement in the areas of life related to where it's transiting. This isn’t usually traumatic, and instead something just “fades away” into the night. We may not even be fully aware that it’s gone until after the transit is over. Pluto is transforming, and sometimes to the point of ripping apart everything in your life (especially touring the 1st house, 2nd house, or making a harsh aspect to your Sun or Moon). It wants to make certain that any changes you make will stick around for the long haul, and that you really connect with them and they’re good for you. Pluto wants change, demands change, in the name of developing more power and control. Transform the areas of life ruled by where Pluto's going through, otherwise it'll do it for you. If you take control of the transformations, Pluto doesn’t fight you so much. It’s when you try to avoid it that it becomes a problem. Neptune & Pluto in General:
Neptune rules water sign Pisces, which is ruler of intuition, imagination, illusion, and spirituality. Pisces is a compassionate sign, and looks out for everyone, but has to work on boundaries, otherwise it can be easily taken advantage of.
Neptune is also the natural ruler of the 12th house, the very last house in astrology, which rules endings, anything hidden, and the past. This house is associated with karma, the subconscious, and our undoing. For more on the 12th house, check out the 12th house article. Pluto rules another water sign, Scorpio, which is ruler of intensity, passion, and depth. This is thanks to Pluto, and Scorpio is a sign that researches, never gives up, gets to the heart of matters, and takes a serious approach. Pluto is also the natural ruler of the 8th house. This is a dark house thanks to Pluto, and rules transformations as well as other people’s money. Transformations can include death and birth (pregnancy and sex are ruled by the 8th house as well - the start of life). Other people’s money can include taxes, debts, joint finances, inheritances, loans, credit, and more. For more on the 8th house, check out the 8th house article. In astrology, the different Zodiac signs and planets rule different parts of the body and health issues. When a transit (moving) planet hits one of your planets, it can affect not only the area of life the planet rules, but also the part of your body the planet governs as well. Conjunct (aligned) and it can amplify existing issues, while the challenging aspects (squares and oppositions) can make them worse or bring out new ones. The beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) can be periods of improvement and you can see things get better with whatever the natal planet rules. The signs on the cusp (the beginning of the house) of your 1st and 6th houses (houses of the self and of health, respectively) can also show health issues you’re more prone to having, as well as any planet within those two houses. The Sun can also sometimes show health issues since this is a ruler of the self. There is also a body called Chiron, which is dubbed the wounded healer; it rules our wounds and healing abilities. Chiron also is a health ruler, so you can look at the sign and house location of your natal Chiron, and any conjunctions it makes or other close aspects. Chiron doesn’t move fast, so the house location and close aspects might matter more for you than the sign, but this can vary from person to person. When your 1st and 6th houses change signs in your progressed chart, this can show changes with your health as well. The progressed chart adds one day to your date of birth for every year you’ve been alive to create a new chart reflecting your maturation and growth, and can be used in predictive analysis. If any progressed planets enter your natal or progressed 1st or 6th houses, this can also have an impact on your health. Here’s a list of some body parts and health issues each sign/planet rule: Aries/Mars – All about the head – acne, eyes, face, scalp, brain, headaches, dizziness Taurus/Venus – All about the throat – coughs, chin, neck, thyroid gland, voice and vocal cords Gemini/Mercury – hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, hay fever, lungs, breathing, nervous system Cancer/Moon – All about the chest – breasts, chest cavity, pancreas, stomach, gas, ulcers, tumors Leo/Sun – back, spine, exhaustion, heart, inflammations (note that the sun also rules the body itself as a whole, so transit aspects to the sun can impact you overall as well) Virgo/Mercury – All about the abdomen – bowels, intestines, diarrhea, constipation, digestion, assimilation, solar plexus Libra/Venus – adrenal glands, buttocks, diabetes, kidneys Scorpio/Pluto – rectum, colon, bladder, organs of elimination, PMS, menstruation, STD’s, organs of reproduction Sagittarius/Jupiter – hips, liver, sciatica, thighs, upper legs Capricorn/Saturn – bones, joints, arthritis, knees, rheumatism, gall bladder, gall stones, skin, psoriasis, itching, eczema Aquarius/Uranus – All about lower legs – ankles, calves, circulation, cramps, spasms, varicose and spider veins Pisces/Neptune – colds, feet, bunions, corns, lymphatic system, poisoning, toxicity, drugs, nerves Suggested Reading: Critical Planets & Your Health For this article, we’ll focus on Mercury and Uranus. Why these two together? Because Uranus is the high octave of Mercury in astrology, meaning it’s the more evolved position. Mercury & Uranus in the Natal Chart
Mercury is a personal planet, ruling your communication style. Its sign and house position as well as aspects show how you get your point across, how you learn, how you listen (or if you even do), the tempo and rhythm of your mind. and what stimulates you mentally.
Uranus is a generational planet, and is erratic, all over the place energy. Its location tends to show areas where you'll experience unrest and constant change. You can't experience "normal" with the areas of life ruled by where Uranus is in your chart, they'll have to be different in some way, otherwise things won't work out. Often Uranus is the most difficult in the 7th house, the house of relationships, because many people with this position will try to fight the fact that they can't have a "conventional" relationship or be with a "conventional" person to their detriment. Embrace the zaniness of Uranus, and you'll have a lot less problems. Mercury & Uranus in Prediction
In predictive astrology, transit Mercury shows the areas of life ruled by the house in your natal chart it's touring where you'll be mentally focused or will be having the most conversations about (even if it's just with yourself). It’s where you have many ideas, work on plans, and keep busy.
Difficult aspects (squares and oppositions) to your natal Mercury and by transit Mercury can show fights, misunderstandings, and lacking information. Beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) can show helpful conversations, good news, and positive ideas. Conjunctions (alignments) can show super focus. Uranus shows where life will be erratic; this can be unstable, unsettling energy if you don't try to use it right, or it can bring much needed change, new scenery, breath of fresh air, all that nice stuff. We can't keep everything exactly the same forever! This is focused on the areas of life ruled by the house in your natal chart transit Uranus is touring. Uranus aspects can impact change, and this can be in a positive way with the beneficial aspects (you often have more control), and can be difficult with the challenging aspects (you either want changes you can’t have or experience changes you don’t want and need to be flexible). Conjunctions make change inevitable and important, but also a bit daunting at times. Mercury & Uranus in General:
Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, two signs. Both of these signs are dual in nature thanks to Mercury (though Gemini more than Virgo since Gemini is the Twins). Gemini rules the mind, and is social and engaging, while Virgo rules details, and is practical and focused.
Mercury also rules the 3rd and 6th houses, with the 3rd house relating to Gemini and the 6th house relating to Virgo. The 3rd house rules our immediate environment and learning when young, while the 6th house rules our work environment and daily life. Uranus rules Aquarius, an air sign, and this is the sign that governs the future, our independence, individuality, and the unconventional. This sign thinks outside the box and pushes the envelope. Uranus is also the ruler of the 11th house.=, which rules our hopes and dreams for the future, as well as our friends and groups. This is where we find our people, where we have hope, and where we take up causes. These two planets are the social planets, showing how we connect from the personal to the generational. Let’s explore these two!

Jupiter & Saturn in the Natal Chart
In the natal chart, Jupiter can show areas where we experience greater ease or "luck" in our lives, where things come more easily to us. Jupiter is considered a benefic, or beneficial planet, and generally just wants everything to be great.
Saturn shows the areas where we experience the greatest difficulties, the most challenges, and have the most to learn. Saturn is often a misunderstood planet, seen as highly negative, but really, he just wants us to learn life's lessons. In the natal chart, Saturn often shows the areas where we'll face challenges until "adulthood," or after we experience our first Saturn Return in our late 20's/early 30's (it's when transit - moving - Saturn returns to the exact position it was at when you were born; it's seen as one of the aspects that signals the start of adulthood). Jupiter & Saturn in Prediction
In predictive astrology, wherever transit (moving) Jupiter is, we tend to have things fall into place with greater ease. Sometimes this will occur without you doing anything, but usually you have to put in even just a little effort. If you don't, then it'll usually manifest as laziness and missing opportunities.
Jupiter going through the 1st house or in the sign of your Sun or Moon can also be good for losing weight (if you put in the effort) or gaining weight (if you don't). Generally, Jupiter is the happy planet and only wants happy things to happen, however it’s base energy is expansion, so sometimes it will expand on the bad. Saturn in prediction is tricky. Usually at first, it'll bring difficulty with the areas of life the natal house it's going through rules. This is because, again, Saturn wants you to learn life's lessons, so if you haven't been behaving properly, making good decisions and being responsible, it'll force you to. Any problems Saturn brings tend to come in the first half of the transit. As Saturn nears the end of a house, things tend to improve, especially if you've been working better, and if you're doing everything right, then you'll usually be rewarded. Saturn's hardest during its first tour through your houses; after your Saturn Return, you enter the second tour, and it tends to get easier with each tour afterwards (because, obviously, you keep learning lessons and need Saturn less). Jupiter & Saturn in General:
Jupiter rules Sagittarius, a fire sign, and Sagittarius is bold, brave, and fun-loving. Sagittarius isn’t too serious, and wants to enjoy life and learn through experiences.
Jupiter is the ruler of the 9th house, which is the house of higher learning and long-distance travel. This house opens us up and wants us to get out and go. It also rules our beliefs. Saturn rules Capricorn, an earth sign, and this sign is practical, focused on where we’re going, and ambitious. This sign is responsible, mature, and ethical. Saturn is the ruler of the 10th house, which is the house of goals and direction. It shows what we want to achieve in this life. This is the highest part of a chart (the Midheaven), and is where we’re constantly trying to hit the highest point. Suggested Reading: The Natal Jupiter page, Natal Saturn page, Transit Jupiter page, and Transit Saturn page for general interpretations Venus and Mars are the sexy planets, the two people always pay attention to because of how they relate to relationships, so we’re going to focus on them in this article. Venus & Mars in the Natal Chart
Venus rules love, how we love and what we want in love. Venus is relationships, and what we want and need. This is seen via the Zodiac sign your natal Venus is in, and the house in your natal chart it falls. Venus also has pleasant energy, and can show areas where we find joy and are pleasant.
Mars rules drive, what gets us going, moving, and is the planet of energy. Mars shows what pushes us to take action and how exactly we take action. This is seen via the Zodiac sign your natal Mars is in, and the house in your natal chart it falls. You often have a ton of energy for whatever the sign and house rule. Study the placements and aspects of each planet to gain further insight into what you need in a relationship. Just like with the Sun and Moon, the aspect they make to one another is usually the most important, and indicate how you deal with what you desire in love. The midpoint (exact middle) of Venus and Mars shows how you best integrate the two, and find the perfect balance between your desire for love and drive for intimacy. Venus & Mars in Prediction
In predictive astrology, transit (moving) Venus shows where you'll experience greater ease in life. Things may develop easier. You may also experience laziness or overindulgence with the areas it's touching.
The areas of life ruled by the house it's going through could also indicate how you can meet a new romantic partner, what you find pleasant currently, and what you find attractive. Transit Mars shows areas where you'll be most driven, and often the areas of life the house it's going through rules are the ones that are of most concern at the time (I've noticed that when I do a reading for someone, often the thing they want to know most about is ruled by the house Mars is touring). Venus spends about 1 month in a Zodiac sign and Mars spends about 2 months. Venus doesn’t travel very far from the Sun, so it’s often in the same or an adjacent sign. Venus & Mars in General
Venus rules two signs, Taurus and Libra (though Ceres is argued to be the ruler of Taurus, but hasn’t officially been designated so, though I do use Ceres). Taurus is a grounded earth and fixed sign, so it doesn’t budge. It’s stubborn and sensual and indulgent.
Meanwhile Libra rules our relationships and commitments. It strives to keep the peace, make compromises, mediate, and find balance. Libra just wants some peace and harmony. Venus also rules the 2nd and 7th houses, with the 2nd house connecting to Taurus and the 7th house connecting to Libra. The 2nd house rules money, resources, your values, and your self-esteem and self-worth. The 7th house rules your partnerships and the people in your life. Mars rules fire sign Aries, the first Zodiac sign, and a leading cardinal sign. Aries wants to take the initiative and goes fully into whatever it wants. It doesn’t have to wait for someone else to pave the way, and will pave it on its own. Mars is also ruler of the 1st house, the house of new beginnings. This is where we start anew. This house is also our outer self, the way we come across. It’s an important part of our identity as it’s our ego.
