Aries 2013 Horoscope Aries 2013 Love Horoscope: With Saturn in Scorpio all year, you desire relationships that go beyond the superficial, and are emotionally deep and intense, but you have problems finding that. The Mercury retrograde October 21st through November 10th in Scorpio is the time of year where you’ll likely be most frustrated. A solar eclipse in Scorpio on November 3rd occurs in the middle of it, so there may be opportunity, but because of the retrograde, you can’t do anything about it. Mars is in your love sector late August through mid-October, which could be when you meet someone or connect deeper with your partner. After the frustrating November retrograde, you’re able to give and get more out of your relationships in December, finding the serious commitment that you want. This is a year for you to be serious about love, sex, and dating, and if you’re not, you’ll continue to encounter problems. You’ll fall for people who want nothing to do with you or are all wrong for you, people you want nothing to do with become obsessed with you, or you can suffer terrible consequences from sexual irresponsibility. I know you don’t like to think before you act, Aries, but you need to if you don’t want to suffer. If you take it seriously, this could be the year where you have that kind of connection with someone that you dream about, and that will last for years to come.

Niobe apparently bragged about all of the children she had, upsetting the other gods. To punish her, they killed all 14 of her children (that's about 13 too many children anyway). In astrology, it's supposed to show where you'll be humbled if you let yourself become too proud, boastful, arrogant. Basically, if you're a prick, you'll get kicked in the . . . shins?
On astro.com, Niobe is number 71. In my chart, I have Niobe in Aries and it falls right on my 6th house cusp (the cusp of a house is the very beginning of that house). So I need to make sure I don't brag about my awesomeness (that's so hard! uhhhh . . .), especially when it comes to my work. I shouldn't take too much pride in my work, or my work will blow up in my face. In transit, Niobe can show areas where you may be humbled if you show excessive pride. Currently, Niobe is in Cancer and my 3rd house (so no bragging about my mental prowess), and sextile my Mars (or my physical prowess). To find where Niobe currently is located you can use astro.com (go to extended chart selection, then click on ephemeris, and type 71 in the additional asteroids and other objects section). What is your Niobe doing? A new year is coming fast! On New Year's Eve, the Moon will be in Taurus all day, so we don't feel like doing anything too crazy, and want to relax and indulge a bit. That night, the Moon harshly hits Mars and Jupiter, so we lack energy or are too impulsive and impatient, and eat way too much. The Moon positively hits Mercury as 2015 begins, and we make plans for the new year, talk about what we want, and think about the future.
What plans should you make for New Year's Eve? Read on: Aries: Kick back and relax with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. Get a massage earlier in the day, and make sure you exercise so you don't get grumpy later. The night is for you to enjoy yourself, and relax your way into a new year. If you have to go out, splurge on a nice outfit. Taurus: With the Moon in your sign, this night is all about you! Do whatever you want, and be with whoever you want. The night is yours, and you should do whatever your heart desires. If it's just being in pajamas at home, out at a party, or skydiving into a new year, go for it. Gemini: You'd rather be along for new year's eve, not wanting to be surrounded by people. You're just too pooped to have much fun, and could even sleep into the new year and miss the whole celebration. You've got a lot on your plate, and you need the rest, so don't worry about it. Cancer: Spend the night with your friends or in a big group. You feel like being out and surrounded by people, and want to spend the night engaging in big conversations with people you feel are your equals and make you feel comfortable enough to do something outside of your comfort zone. Leo: Do the traditional routine you always do for the new year. Don't try anything really wild or unusual. If you have a tradition, keep with it. You can spend the holiday with your family, but you may end up just working through the new year as you feel quite ambitious and hard-working. Virgo: Let yourself be adventurous and open yourself up to new experiences for the night. You're usually the shy, quiet one who never wants to be wild and daring, but you feel like having a little adventure, so do it. Ring in the new year with something new. Libra: You feel pretty serious to start this new year, and your mood is kind of down. Maybe 2014 has been especially hard on you, and you're having a hard time being positive about 2015. Remember the good with the bad, and spend the night with those you're closest to. Scorpio: You want to spend the new year with your loved ones or with your partner. You can be okay at a party but you'd rather it be just the two of you. If you go to a party, make sure it's an elegant, classy one, otherwise book dinner reservations and enjoy each other's company. Sagittarius: If you go to a party, you'll probably be the one taking over the duties, refilling drinks and bringing out food and picking up trash. You want to feel helpful and aren't up for getting stinking drunk or doing anything wild yourself. You might even prefer just being alone for the night. Capricorn: While you usually like to be the responsible, mature adult in the room, you kind of want to let loose and enjoy yourself to ring in the new year. Let out your inner child and play, go on a mini vacation, or be the life of the party. Wherever you are, whatever you do, have fun. Aquarius: Spend the night at home or with family. You don't feel like running around pretending you want to party. You'd rather not, and just want to be comfortable. Ring in the new year in your pajamas, baking cookies, and watching your favorite movies. Who says you have to go out to enjoy yourself? Pisces: If a neighbor or sibling is throwing a party, that's where you'll go first. Really, you just want to be around people, and will spend the night talking everyone's ear off, gossiping and joking around, and will probably have a sore throat the next day so keep some lozenges on hand. Saturn enters Sagittarius on December 23rd. You can read about the overall impact of this in the Saturn in Sagittarius post. December 2014 Full & New Moons: Full Moon in Gemini & New Moon in Capricorn
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are exactly opposing one another in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of endings, culminations, and things coming to fruition. A new moon occurs when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism. For information on how the new/full moons may impact your sign, read the monthly horoscope. December 6th 2014 Full Moon in Gemini A full moon occurs at 7:27AM ET at 14 degrees 17 minutes of Gemini. In Gemini, words have greater meaning. Everything we say has meaning, even if we’re not saying the actual words we feel. The feeling is evident anyway, and we can sense how we feel through the tone of voice, the way we say things, or the things we don’t say. We want to share how we feel, especially since we feel more anxious than usual, but we’re not sure how to go about opening up. It can be difficult for us to separate logic from feeling, and get our facts and emotions jumbled up. This full moon is opposite transit (moving) Mercury in Sagittarius, and Mercury is the natural ruler of Gemini, so this complicates our communications. We think we’re being clear but we’re not, we have misunderstandings and fights with people, and we lack mental patience and focus. We need to refrain from saying anything in the heat of the moment that we’ll regret later. If you're a Gemini Sun, Moon, or mid-Gemini rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most. December 21st 2014 New Moon in Capricorn A new moon occurs at 8:36PM ET at 0 degrees 6 minutes of Capricorn. In Capricorn, we’re ready to get down to business. We don’t want to waste any time on anything that won’t at least get us closer to achieving our goals. We’re hard-working and practical, focused and disciplined. We’re concerned with getting ahead, personally and professionally. We set new goals for ourselves and feel good about our chances of succeeding. We make plans that we know we can follow because we can see how all of the pieces fit together right now. We can face our responsibilities and do what has to be done, and don’t feel it’s holding us back. Capricorn rules politicians and the government, so they could be in the spotlight (hopefully not as a problem), along with authority figures. If you're a Capricorn Sun, Moon, or rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most. Saturn is gearing up to enter into a new sign starting December 23rd, 2014. Saturn has been in water sign Scorpio since late 2012, and while Scorpio isn’t bad for Saturn, it is a very serious, heavy sign, so Saturn in Scorpio has weighed us down for the last couple of years. Saturn will retrograde backward into Scorpio again next year, from June 14th - September 17th, and at that point, we see everything come together from Saturn in Scorpio, tied up in a neat little bow. Saturn will be in Sagittarius until December 2017. I like to preach the good side of Saturn to people - yes, he can be a mean, nasty planet at times, but it’s usually because we need to learn our lessons the hard way to become better people. The less we fight our responsibilities and be adults, the easier Saturn is on us.
Sagittarius is actually a happy sign, perhaps the happiest of them all, known for being happy-go-lucky. That should make this transit easier to handle after Saturn being is the most serious sign of them all, Scorpio. Because Saturn is Mr. Responsibility, the Sagittarius energy won’t be quite as reckless as it can be, so we feel better but temper our optimism so it’s not unrealistic. Sagittarius rules a few things: beliefs, higher education, long-distance travel, and the law. Beliefs could be the most impacted with Saturn here. While Saturn was in Libra, we began to see people around the world fighting for equality, and when Saturn moved into Scorpio, we saw people around the world fighting against their oppressors. Now that Saturn will be in Sagittarius, we’ll see people around the world fighting for their beliefs, what they believe is right on a philosophical level. Beliefs will be challenged, and false beliefs and prophets brutally punished. Many of the people around the world who fight back against their governments could by motivated by their government keeping them from openly expressing their beliefs, or trying to force them to believe a certain way. As for higher education, we could see problems come up with colleges/universities around the world. A scandal could break out, there’s a terrible attack on a campus, or regulations are put on colleges/universities by governments (perhaps we’ll finally see something done regarding the crazy-high tuition rates, at least here in the U.S.). We can see less people going to college, or feel that it's not something we need anymore. With long-distance travel, we could see less people travelling far for some reason, and there could be travel problems that keep coming up, whether by fighting in countries that makes them unsafe to go to, terrorists getting hold of something like an airport, or the weather causing massive delays and cancellations in odd ways. We can see governments put more restrictions on air travel, and the airplane industry in particular could have to evaluate their safety, bring in new planes, and undergo an overhaul. As for the law, we could see important rulings overturned, laws being passed that seem restrictive or that address other laws that are viewed as restrictive, and laws that we thought were important seem outdated now. When Saturn enters Sagittarius, Jupiter will be in fellow fire sign Leo, and Uranus in fellow fire sign Aries. These 3 planets will be in harmony with one another, though the trine to Jupiter won’t go exact at any time. Saturn will exactly trine Uranus in December 2016 and November 2017, and we can turn our rebellions into something tangible and productive, and allow ourselves to attempt things outside of the box. Neptune will be in Pisces while Saturn is in Sagittarius, and they square one another November 2015, June 2016, and September 2016. We’ll struggle to make our dreams reality, dreaming of things that will never happen, or being too realistic to allow ourselves to dreams. When Jupiter is in Virgo, it will square Saturn on March 2016, and we’ll have difficulty balancing our optimism and our pessimism, and our ability to expand versus our ability to contract. When Jupiter is in Libra, is will sextile Saturn in August 2017, and we can balance those things well (and a side note: for those trying to achieve marriage equality, when Jupiter is in Libra and Saturn is in Sagittarius looks to be the best time to push it through completely, so keep an eye on 2017). Mars will be in Sagittarius and conjunct (be in the same spot as) Saturn only once while Saturn is in Sagittarius, which will happen late August 2016. Our drive and energy is focused and we’re determined to achieve what we set out to do. We work hard and dedicate ourselves to our goals. Saturn in Sagittarius will also conjunct the Galactic Center in 2017, a point of enormous energy in our galaxy, when the GC is stimulated, things tend to go wonky. I also wanted to add that Sagittarius rules expansion in general, expanding our lives in new ways and opening ourselves up to new experiences. Saturn rules the opposite of that, contraction and restriction. While Saturn is in Sagittarius, we can work on ways to balance these opposing but equally-important energies, and while we’ll struggle with it at times and veer one way or the other, it should become easier toward the end of the transit.
