There are times when you may feel like you're experiencing something fated or karmic. Astrology can show you when those times may be occurring if you keep track of what's happening for you #1: Transit Planets Conjunct Natal Lunar Nodes
The Lunar Nodes are the points in the Moon's orbit where the Moon crosses the ecliptic. There is a North Node representing your potential, purpose, and ultimate happiness, and a South Node representing your baggage, past, and karma. They exactly oppose one another.
The Lunar Nodes are spiritual and karmic points, so when a transit planet conjuncts one of them, this can set off that energy. It's not going to be as strong with the Sun, Moon, Mercury or Venus since they travel quickly, so the focus will mostly be on transit Mars, Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto or Chiron conjunct your natal North or South Node. When one of them conjuncts your natal North Node, this can mean you experience a fated event or connection that is meant to push you forward in life toward your potential. This can be scary, but ultimately leads to great progress and success if you go with it. When one of them conjuncts your natal South Node, this can mean you experience a karmic event or connection, reconnecting with someone you have a past life experience with, or bringing up a pattern you need to break or a lesson you need to learn. You may feel inclined to fall back on old crutches, but you ultimately need to embrace letting go or learning and resolving. #2: Retrograde Planets Conjunct the Lunar Nodes
It may be biggest when transit Mercury, Venus, Mars, or Ceres conjuncts your North or South Node while they are retrograde.
A planet or body is called retrograde when it appears to be moving backward through the Zodiac, and is karmic in nature on its own, let alone when you combine it with the Lunar Nodes. Super fated! This can be more uncomfortable though, and there may be extra hurdles to jump through, but it can be a huge catalyst for a major fated or karmic development. #3: Transit Planets Conjunct Natal Vertex or Anti-Vertex
The Vertex (and its exact opposite, the Anti-Vertex) is specifically a fated position. When transit planets conjunct it, this can trigger fated encounters and events.
This can be the case with transit Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, or Chiron conjunct your natal Vertex or Anti-Vertex, or with retrograde Mercury, Venus, Mars, or Ceres conjunct. #4: Progressed Planets Turning Retrograde or Direct
The progressed chart adds one day to your date of birth for every year you've been alive to create a new chart that reflects your maturation and growth, and can be used in predictive analysis.
When one of your progressed planets turns retrograde or direct (ends retrograde motion), this is usually huge in your life and leads to a significant event or life decision. This can be fated for you, and you may feel guided to it. #5: Anaretic Progressed Planets
There are 30 degrees in every Zodiac sign, and the last degree is 29 degrees and called the anaretic degree. The anaretic degree is super high energy, and in the progressed chart, tends to push for movement and action.
When a progressed planet reaches 29 degrees, this can be big for activity, and some of this activity can be fated. This can especially be the case when one of the slower planets turns anaretic since this doesn't happen for everyone. Progressed planets can spend a while anaretic though, from one month (progressed Moon) to decades for planets like Pluto and Neptune, so this energy can stick around and you may be in a highly spiritual, intuitive period. Progressed planets can also turn anaretic while retrograde, and this can be huge for fated or karmic events. They may be tumultuous though, and this can shake up your life in a big way, so you do have to be as flexible as possible and work with it as best as you can.
