There are tons of asteroids out there that are just people's names. Go through the list of asteroids on astro.com, and see if any of them are of your name. It can be your first, middle, or last name, a nickname, or something close to your name. Then see what the asteroid is doing in your own chart.
My name is Nicole, which is asteroid 1343. In my natal chart, asteroid Nicole is at 29 degrees Sagittarius and my 2nd house. Interesting because 29 degrees is the anaretic degree! I don't have anything at the anaretic degree with my natal planets and houses, yet I always felt that energy somehow. Guess I was subconsciously feeling my asteroid at the anaretic degree. With my asteroid at the anaertic degree, I'd guess that it hinders me from being able to be who I really am. I second-guess myself too much and try to be what other people want me to be. That was sooo the case in my younger years, and I ended up going through this major crisis where I had no clue who I was, and basically had to start over from scratch with my personality. Oddly, my progressed Moon was opposite my asteroid Nicole at the time. If I can work with the anaretic energy, I can be a powerful personality. I just have to let me be me. I like to think that the sign of your asteroid is like an alternate Sun sign for you, and Sagittarius is especially important for me since my Sun/Moon midpoint is in Sagittarius - in fact, my asteroid falls on my Sun-Moon midpoint! No wonder I've always thought I should strive to manifest my Sun-Moon midpoint more. This area is complicated though - conjunct asteroids Bacchus, Icarus, and Atropos, all falling on the Galactic Center - joy! (sarcasm) The Galactic Center makes you ahead of your time, and that's certainly been the case for me. I'm so ahead of my time, I'm sure I won't be appreciated for several lifetimes. LOL Actually, I was always a trendsetter growing up, I'd do my hair a certain way or wear some kind of clothing, and people would think it was so weird, but then it'd be all the rave in 6-12 months (how GC!). I do have to watch for overindulging, though I can also have great artistic ability (Bacchus), and not fly too high (Icarus). I end things pretty quickly and finally (Atropos). Asteroid Nicole is also conjunct my Neptune, but it's an out-of-sign conjunction, with Nicole at 29 degrees Sagittarius, and Neptune at 0 degrees Capricorn. I still feel the importance of my Neptune though, and I can be a daydreamer, a little unrealistic at times (though that gets clamped down with Saturn in my 1st house), and drawn to mysticism, water, and the arts. You can look to see if your asteroid is prominent in the charts of those you're close to. For example, in my brother's chart, his asteroid Nicole is conjunct his Moon - I always was a bit of a mother to him! In transit, where your asteroid is located and the aspects it makes can show events in your life and where your focus is. I actually track the aspects my asteroid makes to my natal planets, houses, and the transit planets just like I track the rest of the transit planets aspecting my chart. I've said before that on the day that I first got obsessed with asteroids, asteroid Nicole was sitting on my 3rd house cusp, the house of learning. How astrological! To find where your asteroid is currently located you can use astro.com (go to extended chart selection, then click on ephemeris, and type the number for your asteroid in the additional asteroids and other objects section). So what is your asteroid up to? Comments are closed.
