For today’s character analysis post: Sabrina the Teenage Witch! This will be based on the 90’s TV show, not the comic book or the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina version. I loved the 90’s TV show, and it was probably the first supernatural TV show I got into (I’ve been a rabid fan ever since). Sabrina’s Birth Date
The show premiered September 27th 1996. Her birthday could be the 26th or 27th, which would make her a Libra Sun and Mercury. I actually like that for her.
If we make her born in 1980 (she’s supposed to be turning 16), her Sun is conjunct Saturn and her Mercury is conjunct Pluto. Pluto = secrets (and she suddenly has a big secret to keep), and I like the Saturn conjunction because her father is very important since she gets her powers from him, and Saturn conjunct the Sun would show that. If she’s born midday the 26th and on, Sabrina would have a Taurus Moon, which I like for her. Gives her some more Venus energy, a bit grounded as well. Speaking of Venus, it would be conjunct the North Node in Leo, which makes her a little more fun-loving. Before I looked up her birthday, I actually thought a Leo Venus would make sense because I like Leo for Harvey, her love, and his Sun would conjunct her Venus. Mars is conjunct her Uranus in Scorpio, which I actually feel like fits for Harvey. He’s a little weird and not much of a talker but has this cool demeanor. Neptune is in positive aspect to everything but Jupiter (square) and the Moon (quincunx). The harsh Neptune/Moon can show her parents not being in her life. For a Rising sign, I’d go for either something that puts Neptune in the 1st (Sagittarius) or 4th house (Virgo). And Jupiter is in Virgo, which could show her closeness with Salem! (Virgo rules small animals, Jupiter is what we have an affinity for). Sabrina’s Black Moon Lilith
Black Moon Lilith is one of the original witches, so it can be magical, the witch, and a strong, powerful female - so Sabrina! Plus, the way Libby is always attacking her seems a bit Black Moon Lilith to me (since Lilith was shunned for her stance in mythology).
How funny is this - her Mean Black Moon Lilith would be conjunct Pluto in Libra (powerful witch), and her True Black Moon Lilith (oscillating) would be opposite asteroid Libby in Aries - her enemy! Asteroid Connections
There’s actually some funny stuff with the asteroids here. Aside of the asteroid Libby coincidence, her best friend in season 1 is Jenny, and asteroid Jenny is conjunct her Venus.
Her best friend in seasons 2 and 3 was Valerie, and asteroid Valeria is conjunct her Sun. Her true love is Harvey, and asteroid Harvey is conjunct her Jupiter. The asteroid of your name can show important connections and can be used in relationship astrology analysis. Sabrina’s chart definitely shows these connections. So funny for a show, but no wonder it worked! Suggested Reading: Asteroid Diary: Your Name Another asteroid analysis, this time for asteroid Desiderata! Asteroid Desiderata was discovered in 1892 and named after Desiree Clary, a woman who became the queen of Sweden and Norway, was engaged to Napoleon, and was apparently the cat's meow, like the Angelina Jolie of her time. So what does asteroid Desiderata represent? Asteroid Desiderata in Astrology
This asteroid represents something you want but can't have unless everything were to come together perfectly. This is essentially the asteroid of yearning because it’s usually something you really really REALLY want but don’t ever get.
If Desiderata is conjunct any natal planets or other bodies, this can be an area where you struggle. You yearn to have it, but it seems like a constant battle to try and get it. As stated, everything needs to come together perfectly to get it, and this may be largely out of your control. Try handing it over to the Gods and Goddesses and if it happens, it happens! It’ll fall into place in its own way (kind of like it did for the OG Desiderata). In transit, Desiderata shows what you’re yearning for now. This can be in the areas of life ruled by the house in your natal chart transit Desiderata is touring, as well as whatever is ruled by any natal planets Desiderata conjuncts. Conjunctions by transit Desiderata will bring out the most yearning, almost desperately so. You can also find any transit planets conjunct your natal Desiderata bring out some major yearning as well. If other aspects, transits, progressions, or returns show it, then it can be a super lucky time where something important falls into place, and that thing you yearn for becomes reality. Just make sure you can handle that! A note about Desiderata in Synastry
When your Desiderata is on something in someone else's chart, you annoy them by telling them what they need to change about themselves or their life. When someone else’s Desiderata conjuncts one of your natal planets or bodies, they do that to you. So it’s a bit of an annoying connection!
You may be pointing out something that objectively does need to be changed about them, or they may be doing the same to you, but it generally just annoys us. I’d put Desiderata connections up there with Pandora connections (which can show really getting under someone’s skin, though it can heighten sexual chemistry) - a challenge to get over the annoyance!
