November is coming, and it brings with it a lunar eclipse in a new set of signs, starting a new eclipse cycle! Let's get ready now. What is a New Moon?
A new moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact same position in the Zodiac (called a conjunction). New moons are related to beginnings, have high energy, and are enthusiastic.
What is a Full Moon?
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact opposite positions in the Zodiac (called an opposition). Full moons are related to endings, culminations, and are emotional energy.
New Moon in Scorpio: November 4th 2021 (4:15PM ET/1:15PM PT)
The Scorpio new moon brings energy for transforming, and these transformations can be easier to work on with a new moon. We can get them started, and feel like we're breathing fresh new life into our lives, projects, or opportunities.
Scorpio rules research and investigation, so we may dig deeper into subjects we need to know more about, and can become aware of something we hadn't known. This new information can help us find solutions we've been needing, and work on plans that have been stalled. Scorpio likes to share, so we may focus on projects where we're working with a partner, or do more things that benefit others along with ourselves. This can be a good time to tackle and manage anything financial involving others (business finances, joint finances, and things like inheritances, loans, debts, taxes, etc.). Scorpio also rules the dark side, so we can be more comfortable focusing on more serious issues, and things deemed taboo. This new moon is opposite transit (moving) Uranus in Taurus, so we may feel a little more restless and impatient with this new moon. This energy does make it great for breaking out though, and we can finally break through in some way that has been stuck for a while. The new moon occurs at 12 degrees 40 minutes Scorpio. The aspects to this new moon are: Conjunction: 10 degrees 40 minutes - 14 degrees 40 minutes Scorpio Sextile: 10 degrees 40 minutes - 14 degrees 40 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Square: 10 degrees 40 minutes - 14 degrees 40 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 10 degrees 40 minutes - 14 degrees 40 minutes Cancer or Pisces Opposition: 10 degrees 40 minutes - 14 degrees 40 minutes Taurus Lunar Eclipse in Taurus: November 19th 2021 (3:58AM ET/12:58AM PT
Eclipse time! We enter eclipse season again in November, and have our last lunar eclipse for 2021, now in Taurus. This starts a new eclipse cycle as it's the first eclipse in Taurus or Scorpio. The last in Gemini or Sagittarius comes in December (in Sagittarius), closing the books on that eclipse set, and we're starting to look at the Taurus-Scorpio energy come mid-November with this lunar eclipse.
In Taurus, we can give lots of attention to what we value and find worth in, what we invest in, and what we hold in high regard. Are we living to our values? Are our values in tune with who we are now and who we want to become? Are our values a positive impact on our lives and the lives of others? We may give them questions and more a lot of thought. Taurus governs stability and security, so we can assess existing blocks to stability and security, how we can lift them in a positive way, and what led to them in the first place. We have to work on building greater stability and security in a healthy way. Lack of confidence and self-worth can come under the microscope, and if you suffer from low self-esteem, that can feel exposed with this lunar eclipse. You may be extra insecure about something in your life, but the eclipse isn't trying to punish you. It's showing you what needs to be changed for the better so you don't have to feel that way ever again. Taurus is a money ruler, so there could also be some financial developments with this eclipse. Financial agreements may be finalized or come to an end, financial rewards may come to those who have done things right, and financial setbacks may come to those who haven't. This eclipse is square (hard aspect, 3 signs away) transit Jupiter in Aquarius and trine (positive aspect, 4 signs away) transit Pluto in Capricorn. The square to Jupiter might bring some issues with moderation, letting things go to excess, or laziness at times that has to be addressed, and we also need to watch for being preachy or falling for someone who is. The trine to Pluto can help with any changes we're dealing with, and we can take more control or find more personal power. The eclipse occurs at 27 degrees 14 minutes Taurus. The aspects to this eclipse are: Conjunction: 22 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Taurus Semisextile: 25 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 14 minutes Aries or Gemini Sextile: 22 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Cancer or Pisces Square: 22 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 22 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Quincunx: 25 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 14 minutes Libra or Sagittarius Opposition: 22 degrees 14 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Scorpio Since this eclipse is late in sign, there may also be out-of-sign aspects made (but only for the major aspects). Out-of-sign aspects may have fainter energy. They are: Conjunction: 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 14 minutes Gemini Sextile: 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 14 minutes Aries or Leo Square: 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 14 minutes Virgo or Pisces Trine: 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 14 minutes Libra or Aquarius Opposition: 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 14 minutes Sagittarius Suggested Reading: The New & Full Moons page for general interpretations Comments are closed.
