May's new moon occurs on the 4th (6:46PM ET) in earthy Taurus. Taurus new moons are good times to focus on stability and security, and to calm everything down. We can take our time, and we can focus on taking action only when we feel ready and want to. Can't be pushed into anything! We can work to feel more confident, on more solid ground internally and externally, and it can be good energy for grounding exercises. Feel one with the Earth, with nature, with the energies all around you. This provides a solid base to grow from, as Taurus wants. Taurus does rule finances, so this can be a good new moon to pursue financial opportunities, and work to improve your financial situation. We can stick with what we start, and focus on abundance in many areas of our lives. We want to feel as though we are surrounded with plenty of everything, and can be a little indulgent, so we may need to work on exercising moderation. Taurus can be a stubborn sign, so we do need to watch for being stuck in our places and unwilling to budge. It's good to believe in what you do whole-heartedly, but not good to have a closed mind and heart. A little flexibility and an open ear for listening can be a good thing. This new moon is the first with Uranus now in Taurus, though it doesn't conjunct (align with) Uranus and is just in the same sign. Nevertheless, this may help bring out more of the new Uranus in Taurus energy, and we can have a little more pep in our step than usual, and can work on the new, the change, and the grand plans for the future. This new moon occurs at 14 degrees 10 minutes in Taurus. The aspects to this new moon are: Conjunction: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Taurus Sextile: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Cancer or Pisces Square: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Opposition: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Scorpio May's full moon occurs on the 18th (5:12PM ET) in serious Scorpio. Scorpio is the most intense sign, full of passion and depth, and so full moons in Scorpio tend to be highly emotionally charged as we deal with serious situations and face the darker aspects of life. Our will can be strong, and this can help us get through, but we can also be prone to extreme emotions, especially hatred, rage, and envy. We need to have healthy, positive outlets for these emotions so we don't let them take over and make us do something we regret later. We can be deeply in tune with our emotions, with situations, with people, and we can get wrapped up in whatever we're focused on at the moment. We have to be careful we don't get obsessed, otherwise we can dig ourselves so far down the rabbit hole that it takes forever and a day to get out of. Be mindful of going too far and pill back when needed. It is good energy for unraveling, investigating, and getting to the heart of important matters. What once was shrouded in darkness can be revealed. This full moon can bring something out of the depths and into the light that becomes exposed under some harsh reality, and this is to force us to make a transformation for the better. This is excellent energy for transforming, so think about some part of your life that could use a breath of fresh air and do what you can to make it better. The natural ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, who is retrograde (appearing to move backward) for this full moon, so we may spend more time reflecting as well. This full moon occurs at 27 degrees 38 minutes in Scorpio. The aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Scorpio Sextile: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Square: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Cancer or Pisces Opposition: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Taurus Comments are closed.
