May's new moon occurs on the 15th at 7:48AM ET in Taurus. In Taurus, we can slow things down a little, take a breather (probably needed after the Mercury retrograde!), and work on enjoying the moment a little bit. We can look around and smell the roses. Or maybe some cookies if you're like me and hate the smell of roses! We can work to bring more stability and security into our lives and the world, and can feel more confident, placing more value in ourselves and our choices. We can work to live more by what we value in life, and focus on what we feel is worthy of our time and attention. Taurus is one of the money rulers, so we may see some developments financially in some way with countries or corporations, and we can personally focus on improving financial matters and bringing more stability and security to our financial situations. This new moon also occurs on the same day that Uranus moves into Taurus (11:16AM ET, so a few hours after the new moon). Uranus has been in Aries since 2010, and we start to shift our focus for the future (what Uranus rules). We can see more changes coming when it comes to anything Taurus related (finances, values, stability, security, anything with the Earth as Taurus is the earthy earth sign). Mars also enters Aquarius, the sign Uranus rules, overnight (12:54AM ET May 16th), so there is some major focus on the future and change! And with the new moon coinciding, we can be excited, enthusiastic, and ready for the new journey for the next decade. This new moon is slightly wide (over 3 degrees) trine (positive aspect) transit (moving) Pluto in Capricorn. This can give us a little boost of power and control, passion and purpose, and we can work to transform for the better, remain focused, and want any changes to be the kind that will last a long, long time. This new moon occurs at 24 degrees 36 minutes in Taurus. The major aspects to this new moon are: Conjunction: 22 degrees 36 minutes - 26 degrees 36 minutes Taurus Sextile: 22 degrees 36 minutes - 26 degrees 36 minutes Cancer or Pisces Square: 22 degrees 36 minutes - 26 degrees 36 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 22 degrees 36 minutes - 26 degrees 36 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Opposition: 22 degrees 36 minutes - 26 degrees 36 minutes Scorpio The month's full moon occurs on May 29th at 10:20AM ET in Sagittarius. Full moons tend to be emotional energy but Sagittarius is the happy sign, so Sagittarius full moons tend to be a little less serious and intense than the rest. We can work to be more optimistic, to focus on the good that we've got going on, and want to make sure we're seeing the big picture so we're not getting lost in the weeds and causing unnecessary stress. With Sagittarius, we may see something with learning or travel, an important legal decision or situation, or something that impacts the international community, all ruled by Sagittarius. We may be more passionate about our beliefs, defending them and standing up and speaking out. That can be a good continuation of the new Uranus energy too - Uranus loves a good humanitarian cause! We just need to make sure we're not being closed-minded at all, and remain open to all of the ways of living, being, and maintaining space and freedom for all. If we don't feel we have the space we need and freedom we want, we can push and run. Plans for expansion and exploration can be finalized, big talkers might talk a little bigger, and some promises may be empty, so be mindful of the ones you choose to believe. This full moon occurs at 8 degrees 10 minutes Sagittarius. The major aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 6 degrees 10 minutes - 10 degrees 10 minutes Sagittarius Sextile: 6 degrees 10 minutes - 10 degrees 10 minutes Libra or Aquarius Square: 6 degrees 10 minutes - 10 degrees 10 minutes Virgo or Pisces Trine: 6 degrees 10 minutes - 10 degrees 10 minutes Aries or Leo Opposition: 6 degrees 10 minutes - 10 degrees 10 minutes Gemini Suggested Reading: The New & Full Moons page for general interpretations Comments are closed.
