Jupiter is entering a new sign! Earth sign Virgo, on August 11th 2015 at 7:11AM ET, and will stay in Virgo for over a year, leaving on September 9th 2016 at 6:18AM ET. Jupiter has been in fire sign Leo for the last year, bringing Leos the happy energy, and now Virgo gets the Jupiter benefits. Huzzah! Come on Virgos, see the good! Virgo is the sign of work, health, daily life, structure and order, the details, routines, and pets. So all of this gets a nice little boost over the next year. Job opportunities can seem to be everywhere, and people are constantly finding better work. This is good news for a still-lagging job market, especially overseas, and hopefully, things get better there. Of course, there is always the other problem with Jupiter, that it expands whatever it touches, so some places could actually get worse. That would especially be the case if laziness and/or corruption is an issue on the part of the governing bodies. We want more love for what we do in general, and people in jobs they don’t like can hate it even more. Many can become even more motivated to start working on their own, and we can see at least a small surge in small businesses getting off of the ground, and entrepreneurs having more chances at success. The next year is great for us to tackle health issues, and we can focus more on the health issues that have been a problem for us as a whole, and try to improve our lifestyles. I would imagine more focus on things like too much sugar or weight problems, how much stress impacts our health, and what healthier choices we can make overall. Will we see more government intervention? Or will people just opt for it on their own? Daily life, structure and order, and routines - Virgo loves to be organized, keep everything in its place, and have a place for everything. People who stick to routines, stay organized, and streamline their daily life benefit most with Jupiter in Virgo. Get rid of time-consuming processes and become the well-oiled machine that you can be. It can become easier to see the details, and while the Devil is usually in the details, with Jupiter in Virgo, you can find the diamonds in the rough too. Paying attention to the details can give you a leg up on the competition, and you can find small windows of opportunity that others don’t see. Pets! Virgo is one of the signs ruling animals (along with Pisces, but Virgo is usually small or domesticated animals while Pisces is larger, wilder animals). We want to care for them even more, we put them in the spotlight even more, we try to improve treatment of them even more. And more cute animal videos? I’m already a sucker for puppies, oh no! Mars will be in Virgo at the same time as Jupiter September 24th - November 12th 2015, and we can see all of this become more dominant. At the very end of Jupiter in Virgo, Mercury will be retrograde in Virgo starting August 30th 2016, and they’ll conjunct (be in the same spot) on September 2nd 2016, so the last 2 weeks of Jupiter in Virgo might get a little wonky. In Virgo, Jupiter is at a nice angle called a trine to Pluto in fellow earth sign Capricorn, and the aspect will be exact 3 times (October 11th 2015, March 16th 2016 in retrograde, and June 26th 2016). We can feel powerful and in control, and use our personal power to take more control over our lives and make what we want happen. This would especially be the case with our professional lives with Jupiter in the sign of work and Pluto in the sign of career. Jupiter in Virgo will have some hard angles though, so it’s not all sunshine and roses. It will square (difficult aspect) Saturn in fire sign Sagittarius, exact twice on March 23rd 2016 and May 26th 2016. Saturn actually turns retrograde (appears to move backward) on March 25th, two days after the first exact hit, so it’s going to be very strong around then as Saturn is hovering in the same spot. Optimism and pessimism can be difficult to balance, we want to expand but contract or want to contract but expand, we feel frustrated by the lack of progress or overwhelmed by too much of it. Going to need a lot of patience then! Jupiter in Virgo will also oppose Neptune in water sign Pisces, though this is only exact once on September 17th 2015. With Jupiter ruling expansion and Neptune ruling fantasy, we can be extra unrealistic and somewhat delusional at that time. We’ll feel great, most likely, but a little too lost in our dreams. It can be a good time for increased compassion, but also increased vulnerability. Super-practical-and-detailed Virgo opposite super-imaginative-and-watery Pisces - they’re opposite ends of the same line, so we have to strike a balance and walk the fine line carefully. Oh, and could Jupiter expand on a minor detail missed that causes an out-of-control problem with Neptune’s water? Hmm . . . We’ll also have a solar eclipse in Virgo at the end of this tour, on September 1st, while Mercury is also retrograde in Virgo. What could the solar eclipse be shining a light on that Mercury retrograde could be mucking up? The last time Jupiter was in Virgo was August 2003 - September 2004, so look back then to get a clue about what could come in your life. In August 2004, Mercury was also retrograde in Virgo with Jupiter (to get a clue about the end of this tour), and Mars was in Virgo August - September 2004 (for a clue of September - November 2015).
