Both zodiac signs are on an axis governing foundation as they oppose each other. A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are exactly opposing one another in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of endings, culminations, and things coming to fruition. A new moon occurs when when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac, which is called a conjunction. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism. In Capricorn, we may see a lot of people having issues resolved at work, getting recognition for their work, or having long-term goals realized. This Moon is one where you really reap what you sow. Our moods overall may seem more somber and serious, and we're more sensitive. You may see more people prone to emotional public displays and outbursts. There may be a lot of talk about achievement, and what it means to achieve your goals or how to achieve your goals. There could also be a focus on older people, mentors, parents, the skin, bones, or nails. To use this Moon constructively, try to finish a goal of your own. If it's something you've been working at for a long time or have wanted to do for a long time, even better. July 19th 2012 New Moon in Cancer A new moon occurs at 12:24AM ET at 26 degree 54 minutes of Cancer. In Cancer, we feel like being at home and with loved ones more. Focus may be put on housing or real estate (maybe some good news in that sector, although Mercury is retrograde at the same time, so caution needs to be exercised, and perhaps that good news is found out later to not be as good as we thought) or on family values and dynamics. Spend some time with your loved ones, whoever they may be. Be nurturing to another person and connect emotionally. Our emotions are more heightened during this time, but not in a negative way. Cancer is the natural ruler of the Moon, so it's at home here, and our emotions are more like what they should be. This is also a good time analyze our spiritual foundation and figure out if it's as strong as we've thought it to be.
