There is also a new moon in Capricorn, sign of goals and direction, which is great for ending a year and setting new goals for the next year to come. December 10th 2011 Lunar Eclipse in Gemini
The lunar eclipse on the 10th is at 9:37AM ET and occurs at 18 degrees 8 minutes of Gemini. A lunar eclipse is basically a full moon that has the Sun and Moon in the same signs as the lunar nodes. It also has about the same impact as a full moon, but on a larger scale, and for a longer period of time. In Gemini, we're looking at significant endings and culminations related to mental activity, communications, and our day-to-day business. If there's something you need to say to someone, or about something important, say it now. Just make sure you choose your words carefully, because they'll be more likely to be laden with emotion. Watch for breakdowns/problems with technology or electronics. This is a good Moon to write down everything you need to finish (not start, FINISH) of the little things in your life and get them done. If you're a Gemini Sun or Moon between 16 and 20 degrees, or have a Gemini rising in the second half of the sign, you'll feel the effects of this Moon most. December 24th New Moon in Capricorn The new moon on the 24th is at 1:07PM ET and occurs at 2 degrees 34 minutes of Capricorn. Just in time for Christmas! Well, Capricorn is a little more detached and isolated than the other signs, so this'll be a less emotional holiday, and a lot of people may be working through the holiday or spending it alone. Capricorn's more frugal too, so spending less also. Makes sense with this bad economy, eh? It's not all depressing with Capricorn though, rather, it's more like we're being realistic about the situation and our lives and acting accordingly. What's this Moon good for? Work, and lots of it, as long as it's geared towards our career goals and/or will improve our standing in our job or society. Capricorn's an earth sign, so it's also good for environmental matters. If you're a Capricorn Sun or Moon between 0 and 4 degrees, or a Capricorn rising, you'll feel the effects of this Moon most.
