Asteroid Abundantia, the asteroid of abundance, moves from fire sign Leo to earth sign Virgo, and will spend an extra amount of time in Virgo thanks to retrograding (appearing to move backward) in this sign for a few months in 2023. Abundantia can impact abundance. How will Abundantia in Virgo impact us? Asteroid Abundantia in Virgo 2022 - 2023 Dates:
Asteroid Abundantia in Virgo 2022 - 2023 General Impact:Abundantia in Virgo can bring abundant energy to work since Virgo is the sign of work. We may do extra work, take on extra projects, finish extra chores, and our productivity can soar. We can be efficient with our time and energy, and strive to get as much done as we can, and operate as seamlessly as possible. Virgo rules organization, structure, and order, so Abundantia in Virgo can help us get organized, make lists, create new routines and regimens, and implement some order. This can help us get more done, and we can create abundance in our lives when we're streamlining and sticking to schedules. Virgo is also the sign of health, so Abundantia in Virgo can bring abundant energy for health matters. We can give more attention to health issues, and do more to try and improve and feel healthier. We can focus on our stress levels, and work to lower them in healthy ways. But, since Abundantia is abundant, that can also mean health issues get worse, especially if we're not trying to control it or we're going about it in an unhealthy way. Virgo rules the details, the little things, so Abundatia in Virgo can give us a great eye for the details. We can pay closer attention, and we can create opportunities and abundance in small ways that add up over time. Abundantia Retrograde in VirgoAbundantia is going to retrograde while in Virgo, and retrogrades tend to throw things off, so Abunandaita retrograde can mean we're not feeling as abundant as usual, and opportunities seem to dry up. It's more of a time of scarcity.
In Virgo, this may mean we don't have as many work opportunities, we're stalled with projects, we're too caught up in the details or completely missing them, or we're way too lazy with health matters or going way too far. Middle ground can be difficult! We likely need to approach abundance in a different way, with a different perspective and outlook. Retrogrades are also subconscious and karmic energy, so we likely need to reflect, turn inward, and be more introspective about issues around lack versus abundance, old traumas where we were deprived, or baggage that is getting in the way. With Virgo, this retrograde period can make us more aware of how stress is really holding us back in many areas of our lives, as well as how we hold ourselves back on our own. How are we our own worst enemy? How and why do we feel we don't deserve to have enough? It can also be a time to create abundance in ways we have before, that used to work and could work again, at least temporarily. These may be small ways, little things, with Virgo, and we can get some relief. Ceres, dwarf planet of nourishment, also retrogrades in Virgo, March 22nd to May 6th 2023, so partly overlaps with Abundantia. They don't conjunct (align), but with Ceres also retrograde in Virgo, there may be issues around having necessary resources, money problems, and lack energy can be strong, so we have to work harder at approaching it differently. Abundantia retrograde begins January 12th 2023 trine, which is a beneficial aspect, Uranus in Taurus, and Uranus ends its own retrograde a few days later on January 22nd. Because of this, they are trine each other for basically all of January. This is great energy for using Uranus for abundance. Uranus is the planet of change, the unconventional, and innovation, so we may work to change how we attain abundance, embrace unconventional ways of creating opportunities, and innovate, be inventive, and push outside of our comfort zones for abundance. On the same day Abundantia retrograde begins, Mars retrograde ends in Gemini, and Mercury retrograde ends in Capricorn on January 18th. The planets are moving forward at this point (briefly until Ceres retrograde kicks in), and Abundantia is urging a second look, to make sure we've got everything covered. Lessons learned during the other retrogrades may take some time to fully implement. Abundantia retrograde ends on April 14th opposite Saturn in Pisces and square, which is a challenging aspect, Venus in Gemini, so coming out of the retrograde may bring some challenging energy. We may want to blow the gates wide open, but have difficulty doing that as we have to consider limitations. Saturn forces us to be cautious and slow and responsible. Venus may take away some action, and we may have some challenges dealing with others as well. We may need to be mindful of stubbornness and letting a bad attitude fester. I also just want to note one oddity, Abundantia won't conjunct, or align with, any planets while in Virgo. So, it's not really amplifying any of the planets directly, and the strongest is around the start and end of the retrograde.
