April 2022 New & Full Moons: New Moon in Aries, Full Moon in Libra, & Solar Eclipse in Taurus

April comes with potentially two new moons, one of which is a solar eclipse, and a full moon in Libra. Get ready!

A new moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact same position in the Zodiac (called a conjunction). New moons are related to beginnings, have high energy, and are enthusiastic. Solar eclipses occur with new moons.

A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact opposite positions in the Zodiac (called an opposition). Full moons are related to endings, culminations, and are emotional energy.

New Moon in Aries: April 1st 2022 (2:25AM ET/March 30th 2022 @ 11:25PM PT)

(so you see why potentially, if you're on the West Coast of the Americas and further west, it's March 30th)

So the Aries new moon is a great time for energy and drive for new beginnings and new journeys. You can feel super motivated to take action for what you want, and this can work out super well as this new moon occurs with no planets retrograde (so we're full steam ahead!).

Pick something that excites you, and start working on it in a positive, healthy way. What you start now can be a focus for the next year, and you can be willing to take the initiative.

The Libra full moon brings more attention to our relationships, the people in our lives, and we can help out as much as we can. We can be more considerate, compromising, and fair-minded.

Libra rules diplomacy, balance, and peace, so we can find ways to keep the peace diplomatically, and work to restore balance by focusing on areas we've been neglecting lately.

This full moon is square (hard aspect, 3 signs away) Pluto in Capricorn, so this may show we have some major challenges to work through. There may be power struggles and control issues that come to light, and we can encounter lots of intense people. We need to be mindful of this energy, and work to transform.

Solar Eclipse in Taurus: April 30th 2022 (4:28PM ET/1:28PM PT)

The first eclipse of 2022 comes to us in April, and it's a solar eclipse in Taurus, This can be excellen energy for finances and resources, and we can do what we can to make improvements and pursue opportunities that benefit us. 

Taurus rules confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth, so we may work on feeling more confident in what we do and who we are, and find more worth in ourselves. Grounding ourselves may help. This can help us to move forward in a calm way. 

We can improve stability and security with this eclipse, and this can help with confidence as well. The more we improve, the more confident we can be.
