 Astrology has four elements, and each Zodiac sign is assigned to one element. One of those elements is water, and there are 3 water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. The water signs are the signs of emotion, and deeply in tune with not only emotional energies, but also the subtle energies all around us. Cancer is the fourth sign and nurtures; Scorpio is the eighth sign and deepens; and Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the Zodiac and finishes. Water Signs and WorkWith work, water signs can struggle at times to get focused. They often need some help with keeping their focus on what they're doing, otherwise their emotions can make it difficult for them to get anything done. They generally don't like taking the initiative either, and would prefer someone else take the lead, so they can be good employees if they feel supported.
Water signs can work hard when they are supported and emotionally invested in what they're doing. Without that, they won't care much for what they're doing. But if they feel an emotional connection, they can be absolutely ferocious, completely throwing themselves into the work (passionate Scorpio is the most intense). When it comes to their career, water signs need careers that they care about. If they can't connect emotionally, it's not a career for them. Cancer really needs lots of emotional support, but can thrive and achieve a great deal when they get it; Scorpio needs to be able to use it's passion and intensity, and when it can, it can be formidable with what it achieves; and Pisces needs not just emotional but also a spiritual connection, and may do best when it's spiritually nourished or when it's nourishing others. Sometimes water signs can be quite ambitious, and Scorpio in particular can be quite ruthless, but many also don't care at all. Again, without an emotional connection, they just won't care enough to push hard, especially if their emotional needs are being met elsewhere (like in relationships, hobbies, or volunteer work). When it comes to money, water signs can find it difficult to manage if they don't keep a close eye on it. It's easy for them to lose money, especially Pisces, and others can take advantage of how much they want to be helpful. Healthy boundaries with money becomes important, and remembering that they need to take care of themselves too. They do tend to be the signs who can make great investors, and Scorpio itself actually rules investments. With Scorpio, it might be investing in businesses or stocks; with Cancer, it might be investing in real estate or something involving homes and families; and with Pisces, it might be angel investing or letting intuition guide where to best invest. Asteroid Abundantia pushing into Scorpio riles up intense energy. Scorpio is an intense, passionate, and powerful water sign, and we can bring this approach to abundance in our lives, anything we're attempting to expand on, and anything we need to flesh out more. We can do research to create more abundance, and we can benefit from looking below the surface and finding what lurks below.
There can be an abundance or a big scientific breakthrough with Scorpio being one of the science rulers, while we also can feel more attuned to the mystical and magical with Scorpio being a magic ruler. We can be more interested in what we consider taboo, and want to explore. Scorpio is also a ruler of sexuality, so it can be an abundant period for that. Scorpio loves solutions to problems, so we may have abundant energy for this. We can come up with solutions to lots of vexing issues, or we may be more willing to put in the long, hard work to find a solution to something that has been a problem for a long time. There is a big surge of Scorpio energy during this period as well, with the Sun in Scorpio October 23 to November 22, Mercury in Scorpio October 22 to November 10, Venus in Scorpio December 4 to 9, Mars in Scorpio October 12 to November 24, Ceres in Scorpio September 15 to November 25, and a New Moon in Scorpio November 13. Lots of planets in Scorpio, and abundant Abundantia just piles on with the excess of energy. We're super passionate, intense, unrelenting, and solutions-oriented, but we need to be careful of getting stuck in negative Scorpio energy: becoming obsessed, extreme, pessimistic, and getting stuck. One fabulous thing Scorpio is great for is transforming, and this is usually the way out of any of the challenges, so try focusing on something you can transform in your life. Abundantia didn't make many aspects while in previous sign in Libra, but in Scorpio, will aspect every planet except Venus and Ceres, so it's WAY busier! This may mean we're much busier when it comes to creating abundance, cultivating abundance, growing abundance, and finding abundance in various aspects of our lives.
It starts fast with Abundantia trine (beneficial aspect) transit (moving) Saturn in Pisces on October 12th, with both at 0 degrees. Saturn brings discipline and focus, and we may channel our abundant energy toward our goals and direction to make sure we're on the path to success. Abundantia then conjuncts (aligns with) transit Mars in Scorpio on October 15th with both at 2 degrees, and Mars is the planet of energy and drive, so we can feel energized for abundance. On October 26th, Abundantia conjuncts transit Mercury in Scorpio with both at 7 degrees. This can greatly improve and expand our communications and expression, and there can be big news around this time. We can benefit from using our minds, our intellect, and we may want to learn or teach something. On November 2nd, Abundantia opposes transit Jupiter in Taurus with both at 10 degrees. Jupiter rules expansion, so we have abundance and expansion in opposition to each other, and oppositions can be out of control. We may see some major escalation of something Scorpio-ruled at this time, and it may seem like we have no way to calm it down, but we likely need to work on being flexible. That's just difficult for two fixed signs to do! On November 3rd, Abundantia conjuncts the Sun in Scorpio at 11 degrees, and the Sun shines a light, so this can bring out attention to abundance and bring more awareness in some way. We can also feel more like being true to ourselves with the Sun, and attention can be paid to something creative. On November 24th, Abundantia opposes Uranus in Taurus at 20 degrees, and Uranus is the planet of the sudden and unexpected. This might mean that developments impacting abundance come out of nowhere, unexpectedly, in a way different way that we thought or imagined. Like with the opposition to Jupiter, we need to be flexible with this and willing to adjust on our feet so we don't get stuck. On December 3rd, Abundantia trines Neptune in Pisces at 24 degrees, and Neptune rules spirituality, intuition, compassion, and the arts, so we can be extra empathetic, caring, wanting to help out as much as we can, and wanting to share everything we have with others. Our intuition can be strong, we can feel connected to the energies all around us, and our imagination can soar. Finally, on December 12th, Abundantia sextiles (beneficial aspect) transit Pluto in Capricorn at 28 degrees. This is just a few days before Abundantia exits Scorpio, and Pluto is the natural ruler of Scorpio, so there's one last shot of helpful energy before Abundantia leaves to transform, empower, and take control.
