The transit, or moving, planets or bodies in astrology can move through the Zodiac signs, and end up also moving through your natal houses. There are 12 houses in astrology, and each connects to a different part of your life. Chiron is technically classified as a comet as of now, but we usually still refer to it as an asteroid in astrology, and is the "Wounded Healer". Chiron rules our greatest wounds in life, but also shows how we can heal and grow and learn from them. This is usually seen via the sign, house placement, and aspects of your natal Chiron. In transit, Chiron can trigger old wounds, exposing what you haven't worked on yet, and you can work on healing. The areas of life ruled by the house in your natal chart transit Chiron is currently touring can be areas where you're more vulnerable, where old wounds can be more prevalent, and where you can heal most. This can be emotional, and you can be sensitive, but it can teach you a lot and provide some great personal growth. Make sure you're signed up for the monthly worksheet to keep track of Chiron every month! Surviving Transit Chiron in the HousesTransit Chiron in the 1st HouseThe first house rules the self, so transit Chiron in your 1st house can bring out any and all of your old wounds and issues. You can be extra sensitive, easily wounded, and it may feel like you're being ganged up on. It can be difficult to escape old wounds, and you may try anything to run away, even if it's self-destructive. How to survive: First, go easy on yourself for the old wounds and issues. You don't need to be so hard on yourself for having them, and being so hard on yourself won't solve anything. Second, start working on those issues, stat. This would be a great time for various therapies and counseling, so try to open up to that. Face the issues head-on. Work on improving your sense of self, having a solid identity, and being confident. This greatly improves any sensitivity and helps you find true healing. Transit Chiron in the 2nd HouseThe second house rules money, resources, and values, so transit Chiron in your 2nd house can bring out wounds that decrease your self-esteem and make you insecure, that take away resources or old wounds related to not having enough, and wounds related to your values. You might be slower than usual to deal with things, and stubbornness can make it worse. How to survive: Work on tackling the issues that are impacting your self-esteem and self-confidence first. This is usually the crux of the problem. Improving your self-esteem and confidence can help you move forward with other issues, and you can feel more secure as you do. This is also a good time to work on grounding yourself to give yourself a solid, stable center. Try to be present, more in the moment, and be patient with yourself on your healing journey. It's likely going to be slow, steady progress. Transit Chiron in the 3rd HouseThe third house rules communication and the mind, so transit Chiron in your 3rd house can bring out issues with communication and expression. Old issues with verbal or mental abuse, mental health issues, and issues with learning can be more prominent. If prone to anxiety, that can come back or worsen, and the mind can go a mile a minute with worry. How to survive: It's easy to see your mind as an enemy with this transit, but you can actually use it to your advantage and turn it into an asset. Learn more about the issues in your life and past, understand more about yourself and others, and talk things out (great time for talk therapy). Work on finding more confidence in your expression, your ideas, and your mental abilities. Work on changing what you tell yourself in your head to a more positive, beneficial narrative. Keep busy and consider writing or taking a class to utilize your mental energy in healthy ways. Transit Chiron in the 4th HouseThe fourth house rules the home, family, emotions, and foundations, so transit Chiron in your 4th house can bring out issues stemming from the home and family when you were growing up, emotional issues that you hold at your core, and issues that have impacted your foundation in life. This can be a deeply emotional transit, and you can be much more sensitive emotionally. How to survive: It's tempting to keep running, but you need to stop and allow yourself to process what you feel. This can be unsettling initially, but you can grow so much from it. This can provide new understanding that you hadn't seen before, and you can strengthen yourself internally. Address issues that have made your foundation shaky, and work to make yourself more resilient. Tend to your emotional needs, and understand where they come from and how to take care of them in healthy ways. Learn healthy coping strategies for emotional upset. Give yourself more comfort, and expand your support system. This can be a good time to reparent yourself. Transit Chiron in the 5th HouseThe fifth house rules who and what you love, so transit Chiron in your 5th house can bring out love issues. Old hurts, whether by family, friends, aor lovers, that broke your heart somehow can be more prominent. Your heart can be much more sensitive, and you can either be too vulnerable with loved ones or not at all. How to survive: Work on those old love issues and remove blocks to having a strong, healthy connection to love. Spend more time doing what you love in healthy ways. Love can be healing for you once you open up to removing the blocks and have healthy boundaries. Creativity can also be deeply healing, so give creative outlets a try. Give yourself more attention and praise, and let others give that to you too. Also figure out how to be generous in ways that benefit everyone, including yourself. This can be a good time to get in tune with your inner child. Transit Chiron in the 6th HouseThe sixth house rules your daily life, work, and health, so transit Chiron in your 6th house can bring issues that impact you each day. Little things can get on your nerves, and you may be extra stressed out. Physical health can be more important, and you may feel that some health issues worsen, and your stress levels can have a direct impact on your physical well being. How to survive: Since stress can be so high during this transit, it's important to work on having healthy stress management strategies and systems in place. If you don't when the transit starts, then work on that immediately. Don't demand perfection from yourself, and go easy on yourself. If things don't work out the way you plan, it doesn't mean you're automatically a failure and doomed forever. It just may not be the right time, or the right pursuit. Celebrate small wins. Work on having small ways to take care of yourself every day, and check in with yourself. Work on projects that you connect with, and they can provide more room for healing. Transit Chiron in the 7th HouseThe seventh house rules your relationships and the people in your life, so transit Chiron in your 7th house can bring out issues in your relationships and dealings with others. Old relationship and commitment issues, and old issues with people from the past can become prominent, and the current people in your life may hold too much sway over you, leaving you vulnerable. How to survive: It's important to work on having healthy connections and a healthy approach to commitment. Work on those old relationship and commitment issues, and try to form solid connections now. With healthy connections, you may find that they start to heal you even more, and you grow more thanks to the connections you make. Be open to compromise without sacrificing yourself, and keep the drama to a minimum. Surround yourself with peace and harmony whenever you feel you're getting off track. Transit Chiron in the 8th HouseThe eighth house rules what you hold deep inside, sharing, and transformations, so transit Chiron in your 8th house can dig up some very deep, serious issues. These are likely issues you've been shoving away for a very long time, and are afraid of. You can be extra sensitive, and this can cause you to lash out irrationally. How to survive: This is one of the hardest periods when dealing with Chiron since this is where very deep wounds lie. That means you have to take a serious approach with them, and not run. You may have to face a fear, perhaps even your greatest fear, which can be absolutely terrifying, but ends up leading to an incredible amount of power and control in your life. By the end of this transit, you should be strong, formidable, and impressive, and others sense this about you subconsciously simply from the way you talk and carry yourself with such power. Deal with the hard stuff, and find your power. Transit Chiron in the 9th HouseThe ninth house rules expansion and beliefs, so transit Chiron in the 9th house can bring out issues and wounds involving your beliefs, the beliefs you grew up with, and the beliefs forced on you. Issues related to getting the space and freedom you want to do your own thing can also become more prominent, and if you've done things wrong, you can feel squeezed. How to survive: Focus on the bright side. The 9th house is an optimistic house, and there's not a big need to dwell on the negatives. Try to get a hold of the big picture, and focus on the good in your life. This helps you create the space you need, and with space, you can get a handle on your beliefs. Your beliefs may change under this transit, and this can be a good thing if what they've been until now doesn't resonate with you anymore. Transit Chiron in the 10th HouseThe tenth house rules your goals, direction, and responsibilities, so transit Chiron in the 10th house can bring out issues with ambition and whether or not you allow yourself to achieve or aspire for anything. A lack of direction can be worsened, and you can drift aimlessly. Responsibilities can weigh heavily, stifling you, but running from them can also stifle you're punished for it. How to survive: Focus on the blocks to achievement. Look within, look subconsciously, and look at the past and what may have occurred to create a block. As you work through the blocks, allow yourself to make progress and take steps in the right direction. Work on improving your confidence in your choices and with the path you take. Manage responsibilities in healthy ways, and give yourself enough time away to recharge as needed. There can be issues with authority figures from the past that you need to address now and heal from, and the opportunity is there. Once you're on the road to healing, others can look up to you for it, and you may reach a height with your personal power and ultimately end up achieving a healing goal. Transit Chiron in the 11th HouseThe eleventh house rules your dreams for the future, friends, and individuality, so transit Chiron in the 11th house can bring out old issues with friends or groups you belonged to, or wounds that were created by a group of people. Blocks to pursuing your dreams can worsen, and you may reject who you are as an individual. How to survive: Open up to the unconventional. Taking a different approach with your healing can help you heal in bigger ways. Focus on the friendships that are healthy and the groups you're passionate about, and let go of the rest. Work on blocks to your dreams, and consider where they come from, why you've kept them, and what you can do better. Have hope, and connect to your quirky side. Push yourself outside of your comfort zone little by little, and make changes that help you heal and grow. Transit Chiron in the 12th HouseThe twelfth house rules the past and your subconscious, so transit Chiron in the 12th house can bring out any of your old wounds from the past that are now dug deep into your subconscious. You may get in your own way, act as your own worst enemy, and can be too vulnerable. You can feel stuck in bad and overly negative thinking.
How to survive: Take time to dig into your past and gain more understanding of your own subconscious motivations, desires, and issues, as well as those of others who hurt you. This is a fantastic period for any kind of therapy, as well as doing things like hypnosis and past-life regression. Much of the work you do on yourself, you may keep quiet from other people. It's not their road, it's yours. There can even be some karmic baggage to let go of. This is a big period for letting go, moving on, once you've gained understanding. This weight you've been carrying is ready to be gone, and you can take the steps you need to. Erect healthy, solid boundaries, and understand that boundaries protect both you and others, and are a sign of self-respect. Quietly, you can experience a tremendous amount of personal growth. Tap into your spiritual side, strengthen your intuition, and pay attention to your dreams. Suggested Reading: The Survival Series: How to survive transit Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Full Moons, and Mercury retrograde in the houses, and Hard Pluto to the Personal Planets and Hard Saturn to the Personal Planets 2024 is top-heavy with stelliums as we just ended a Capricorn stellium, and are about to begin an Aquarius stellium. Stelliums occur when 3+ planets are together in one Zodiac sign, and this is concentreated, focused energy on the sign. That makes it a great time for whatever the sign rules, and we can make big strides. P.S. Make sure you're signed up for the free monthly worksheet so you can keep track of the signs the planets are in every month! The Aquarius Stellium of 2024
Both Pluto and the Sun entered Aquarius on January 20th, and Mercury is going to enter Aquarius on February 5th, starting the stellium. Mars joins them on February 13th, and then Venus joins on February 16th. This stellium lasts until March 11th (the Sun exits February 18th and Mercury exits February 23rd, leaving Venus and Mars with Pluto until March 11th).
Pluto in Aquarius starts a whole new Pluto cycle, and we got a taste of this in 2023 when Pluto first entered Aquarius March through June. Pluto is in Aquarius now until September 1st, and officially enters Aquarius to stay in November. This period now can feel like a huge push toward this new era with Pluto in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of the future, and we're extra focused on the future now. Our hopes and dreams can be more important to us now, and we can make big changes to get closer, and can be independent in our pursuits. We can embrace the unconventional, and appreciate our quirks. We can also expand our social circles, and care more about what impacts everyone. With Pluto being the only slow planet in the mix, Pluto is the one calling the shots and gets most of the attention. This means this can be a period where we're making important transformations, researching and investigating, and making use of passionate energy. We can be intense and focused, and this can make us formidable. We can push through anything we need to, and we can stick to what we want no matter what. The Pisces Stellium of 2024
The Sun enters Pisces on February 18th, and this starts the stellium in Pisces as both Saturn and Neptune are in Pisces. Mercury enters Pisces on February 23rd, Venus enters Pisces on March 11th, and Mars enters Pisces on March 22nd. This stellium lasts until April 30th (the Sun exits on March 19th, Mercury exits on March 10th, Venus exits on April 4th, and this leaves Mars with Neptune and Saturn in Pisces until April 30th, when Mars exits).
While Pluto is at the start of a new cycle, Neptune is nearing the end of it's time in Pisces. This means we're kind of feeling a subconscious push with spiritual and creative pursuits, with dealing with the past, and with clearing our emotional, spiritual, and karmic baggage this year, and we can be extra focused on that during this stellium since Neptune rules Pisces. Neptune is foggy energy though, so we do need to make sure we're being realistic and grounding ourselves during this time. It can be excellent for creative pursuits, strengthening intuition, and getting in tune with your subconscious mind, so work on that. With Saturn here though, we do need to keep in mind the importance of being disciplined, doing things the right way, and having proper motivations. Otherwise, we end up with the Saturn punishments! The Aquarius and Pisces Stelliums Overlap!
The Aquarius stellium is from February 5th to March 11th 2024, while the Pisces stellium is February 18th to April 30th, meaning they overlap February 18th to March 11th. This can be a time where we may have two focuses with the two different signs, or we may bring two things together to work together or help each other. We're extra-extra-extra helpful as Aquarius rules charity and Pisces rules compassion, so we just need to make sure we have healthy boundaries.
I also want to note that all of this is occurring with all planets moving forward, so we're in a period of great energy for progress, focus, and achievement. Get going! Suggested Reading: Stelliums in the Zodiac Signs Chiron is often called an asteroid in astrology, but is technically a comet (it was originally an asteroid, then a dwarf planet, and now a comet - we'll see if it changes again!). It's a slow-moving planet like Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, so it falls in with the generational planets. Chiron Astrology & Your Natal ChartThere are ten planets in a standard astrology chart (I personally also add Ceres, and there are others, but we start with the ten). Each planet links to a different part of your personality and life. Your natal chart is a snapshot of the locations of the planets, other bodies, and houses in the Zodiac at the moment you're born and from the location you're born at. I link Chiron to earth sign Virgo, the sign of health and wellness, which would naturally connect Chiron to the sixth house of work and health. At-a-Glance Chiron Keywords:
Chiron in Astrology: WoundsChiron is called the Wounded Healer in astrology, so it ties into your greatest wounds in this life. In your natal chart, this is often found via the sign and house location of your natal Chiron. It can show where your greatest wound lies, or it may show an aspect of your greatest wound that festers the most. When it comes to transits, transit (moving) Chiron has the potential to cause more wounds, often through challenging aspects (conjunctions, squares, oppositions), or to bring back out old wounds that haven't been fully addressed. This can make for great sensitivity, and we're often very vulnerable. The beneficial aspects (sextiles and trines) can make it easier to take a more objective view of our great wounds and what we need to do about them. Chiron in Astrology: HealingI mentioned Chiron is the Wounded Healer in astrology, so it not only ties into your greatest wounds, but also how you can heal from them. How or where can be shown via the natal sign and house of your natal Chiron, and transits involving Chiron can help you with healing (sextiles and trines) or make healing harder (conjunctions, squares, and oppositions). Some say that you never actually fully heal when it comes to Chiron, but you can heal enough that it gives you great wisdom and empathy. Many people who are healers professionally (whether spiritual types or actual medical professionals) have a strong natal Chiron as Chironic healing abilities can sometimes be more beneficial for others than for ourselves. Chiron in Astrology: Personal GrowthAs we explore our wounds, and work on healing and understanding, this naturally leads to personal growth thanks to Chiron. This is growth that ordinarily isn't attained in a chaotic way full of upheaval like with Pluto, or that comes with enormous responsibility and restrictions like with Saturn. It's quieter, and it's more personal, so it may not be fully obvious on the outside, and instead is something you feel deep within. The personal growth we achieve with Chiron often lasts a lifetime, and helps us to be much more understanding with others and ourselves. Chiron in Astrology: Personal PowerAlong the lines of personal growth, as we heal and understand, we can also uncover more personal power. This isn't as loud as with Pluto, so again, it's quieter, but it can lead to having more confidence and feeling more secure with yourself because you recognize the innate power you have. The power you get from fighting and war is not the same as the power you get from healing and understanding. Pluto is the former while Chiron is the latter. Chiron in Astrology: IntuitiveSince Chiron is a quieter sort of body and requires a lot of introspection and reflection, it can also be highly intuitive as it's able to get a sense of the subtle energies all around us. This generally is only helpful for other people until we do some healing and growth, and then it can become helpful for ourselves as well. Chiron in Astrology: KarmicChiron can be a karmic placement, and we may feel we have spiritual and karmic baggage associated with our natal Chiron. This can mean that sometimes, the wounds we need to address aren't from this life, and are being carried over from past lives. We may need to work through it in this one to release the baggage. Chiron in Astrology: HealthWith Chiron ruling healing, I also find it to be a very strong body for our health in general. This can be physical health as well as mental and emotional. Your natal Chiron can show where health issues lie for you and how you can address them, while transits involving Chiron can show health issues to focus on at the moment and how to tend to them. Where Your Chiron Energy is FoundFor everyone, look to the Zodiac sign and natal house your Chiron falls in. The energy of the Chiron sign is how you heal and what your wounds are, while the areas of life ruled by the house your Chiron falls in are where you need to heal and where your wounds may have come from. Also look to the natural planetary ruler of your Chiron sign (the natural planetary ruler of the Zodiac sign your Chiron falls in) as this can also connect to the Chiron energy. Planets that are conjunct (aligned with) your natal Chiron can directly tie into your wounds, healing and growth. There can be a great wound associated with that planet, but also great healing potential and power, and the ability to achieve great growth and understanding in your life. Transit (moving) planets aspecting your natal Chiron can bring some temporary energy for Chiron matters. This can impact your ability to heal and grow with Chiron, and bring more attention to wounds. The most challenging aspects to your natal Chiron can be hard transit Saturn (since Saturn is the planet of lessons, there can be important lessons that need to be learned with your wounds, and you may feel quite restricted in your healing ability until you do), hard transit Uranus (who is the unexpected planet, so there can be sudden challenges with your wounds), and hard transit Pluto (the intense planet of transformation, this can create upheaval to force you to confront your wounds and has the biggest chance of wounding you again). Make sure to sign up for the free monthly worksheet to keep track of the transit planets impacting your natal Chiron and aspects by transit Chiron every month! A Strong Natal Chiron in AstrologySome may have a more important natal Chiron. This can be the case for you if you have:
- Chiron conjunct a stellium (3+ planets) - your natal Chiron conjunct an angle - your North or South Node in your Chiron sign - your 1st house ruler conjunct the natal Chiron - your natal Chiron anaretic (at 29 degrees) - natal Chiron conjunct a retrograde Mercury, Venus, Mars, or Ceres If your natal Chiron is conjunct a stellium, this means that the stellium likely ties into your greatest wounds. Your wound may be bigger than usual, and have an impact on more areas of your life than usual. Yet your healing potential is also huge, and you can be an incredible healer once you harness that energy. Natal Chiron conjunct an angle can mean you may have wounds to work on related to that angle, and can be more vulnerable in those areas until you grow. Chiron conjunct your 1st house ruler can make you someone who displays a lot of understanding and sensitivity, but may struggle with your own insecurities until you do more internal work. Chiron in your North Node sign can show you have great potential to be seen as an incredible healer, someone wise and strong and empathetic, but you have to work through blocks first and do your own healing. Chiron in your South Node sign can show you may get stuck in your wounds, help others too much and ignore yourself, and are vulnerable to manipulation. You need to prioritize yourself and work on healthy boundaries. If your natal Chiron is anaretic, this can show you play it up too much or not enough. You may shy away from healing and run from your wounds, leaving yourself vulnerable and a bit of a mess; or you may fixate on healing too much, and may end up healing everyone but yourself in the end. The anaretic degree always requires middle ground, so it's important to make sure you're healing yourself and being empathetic, but also protecting yourself and having those healthy boundaries. If your natal Chiron is conjunct a retrograde Mercury, Venus, Mars, or Ceres, this can show that the retrograde planet is a source of wounds and sensitivity for you, and that has to be addressed. With retrograde, you have to go about it in your own way, which can be different from what you think of as normal. Once you do find your way, there can be a lot of growth. Suggested Reading: Transit Chiron in the Houses and Transit Chiron Aspects for general interpretations In astrology, asteroid Talent is literally the asteroid of talent. There are tens of thousands of asteroids out there, and this is a positive one. In your natal chart, asteroid Talent can show your literal talents in life; in transit, asteroid Talent can spotlight certain talents and abilities, and impact how we use them. You can find the location of your natal asteroid Talent for free using astro.com; in Extended Chart Selection, click on 'Additional objects', and add the number '33154' to the 'Manual entry' box, and generate your chart. For now, asteroid Talent is moving to Sagittarius, where it'll be for a good chunk of 2024 thanks to a retrograde period. What does this do for us? Asteroid Talent in Sagittarius 2024 Dates:
Asteroid Talent in Sagittarius 2024 General Impact:
Asteroid Talent in Sagittarius puts Talent in the sign ruling expansion and beliefs. Talents that are for things like exploring and travel, teaching and writing, learning and mentoring can be in the spotlight, and we can give more attention to higher education and travel.
Those who are talented when it comes to showcasing their beliefs can also get a boost with asteroid Talent in Sagittarius, and this can also be a good period for those who are talented marketers and promoters. Sagittarius rules adventure, so talented adventurers also get more attention, and there can be helpful energy for exploration and being bold. When Talent is retrograde, this means it appears to move backward, and it can get thrown off. Talent retrograde in Sagittarius can mean the downfall of some of those marketers, promoters, and those pushing their beliefs, and there can be issues with travel and learning. A teacher or learning stitution, writer or publisher, publicist or adventurer could be under fire. When Talent comes back to Sagittarius, we can work on resolving anything that came to pass and try to make the most of the talents we have. We can be more light-hearted with them, and don't want to be too serious about any of our talents. Though we may be quite boastful about them! Asteroid Talent in Sagittarius 2024 Important Aspects:
The start of Talent retrograde in April is square (challenging aspect) both Mars in Pisces (exact April 8th, just a few days later) and Saturn in Pisces. I'm a little concerned about travel at the start of this retrograde, someone making an error that is costly. Sagittarius rules flight specifically, so maybe avoid planes at the start of April (Plus Mercury retrograde starts April 1st in fellow fire sign Aries, ruler of accidents, soooo yeah). Outside of that, this is very aggressive energy and we need to make sure we're not lashing out irrationally. We should try to channel energy productively, and make sure we're going things the right way and for the right reasons.
After the retrograde is over and Talent is back in Sagittarius, it'll square Saturn in Pisces exactly on October 4th (at 14 degrees), and this can make us feel more restricted with our talents. We may not be able to use them how we want to, and need to be smart and patient. Talent will oppose Jupiter in Gemini on October 24th (at 21 degrees), and this can expand on any issues that we're having, but can make it easier for us to try to get back on track. Talent also squares Neptune in Pisces on November 9th (at 27 degrees), and we may struggle with having clear focus with how to utilize our talents or what they are, and may need to get some space from them. Suggested Reading: Transit Asteroid Abundantia Aspects All Planets in Direct Motion in astrology occurs when all ten of the major planets are in direct motion. A planet or body is called retrograde in astrology when it appears to be moving backward through the Zodiac. When it's no longer appearing to move backwards and appears to move forward again, this is called turning direct. Direct motion is forward motion. The normal motion for most bodies in astrology is forward, so when they appear to be retrograde, this can throw the energy of that planet of body off. The ten major planets are the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The Sun and Moon are the only planets that don't retrograde; Mercury retrogrades several times each year for a few weeks at a time, while Venus retrogrades for about 1/2 months every 1 1/2 years, and Mars retrograde about every 2 years for about 2 month. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto retrograde for months at a time every year. While I do consider Ceres along with the regular planets, and Chiron is often depicted with them, neither are technically considered when determining if all planets are direct or not. P.S. Make sure you're signed up for the free monthly worksheet to know which planets are retrograde and when they start and end every month! Impact of All Planets in Direct Motion
All Planets in Direct Motion (or APDM for short) usually occurs at least once per year. How long it lasts can vary, as little as a few days to as much as a few months.
Since the normal motion for the planets is forward, retrograde motion throws this off. What does that mean when they're all in forward motion then? It means we're in a period where we're moving ahead at a steady pace, gaining momentum, and ready to make quick progress. It's full-steam ahead! This can be difficult to really maximize when it only lasts for a few days, but when APDM lasts for a few weeks or months, that can be a hyper productive period for progress and success. We can be clear about what we want to achieve, what we're working on now, what our plans are, and what the next steps are. Retrograde planets, particularly Mercury, Venus, and Mars, like to throw a monkey wrench in our plans and keep us from making progress. During APDM, it's the exact opposite, and all planets are working in our favor. Is All Planets in Direct Motion Ever Bad?
On a personal level, if you're experiencing hard aspects (particularly by Saturn, Uranus, or Pluto), then it might not be such a great period for you. Almost everything in astrology that hits you personally has a bigger impact than anything broad that affects us all.
If the planets are making bad aspects to each other, particularly hard aspects between Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, then it might be a more difficult period in general. But, we can still feel more on track and keep going forward with some effort. How should I use All Planets in Direct Motion?
We should all focus on trying to make the most of this energy when it's available to us. If it's short, for say under two weeks, then you'll need to work on some quick wins and small projects or goals that can be accomplished quickly. You can feel you have less blocks on your path, and a clearer head as you pursue.
If it's going to be longer, then you can set a bigger goal, make a bigger plan, and go for a bigger win. Focus on something that requires clear thinking and discipline, and make the most of energy you have to make it happen. Especially pay attention if you're going to experience any particularly beneficial aspects during APDM. That can show you're getting an extra boost during this time to go big. When is All Planets in Direct Motion in 2024?
At the time of posting this article, it's 2024, and APDM is about to start! We experience APDM starting January 27th once Uranus turns direct, and it'll last until Ap[ril 1st when Mercury retrograde starts. That's over 2 months of APDM - and Ceres and Chiron are direct too, so added bonus!
There will be another ADPM period shortly afterward, April 25th (when Mercury turns direct) to May 2nd (when Pluto turns retrograde). This is obviously a much shorter period of only about a week, so you'll want to make the most of the earlier period. That's it for APDM in 2024. A new moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact same position in the Zodiac (called a conjunction). New moons are related to beginnings, have high energy, and are enthusiastic.
What is a Full Moon?
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are in the exact opposite positions in the Zodiac (called an opposition). Full moons are related to endings, culminations, and are emotional energy.
New Moon in Aquarius: February 9th 2024 (6PM ET/3PM PT)
The New Moon for February comes to us in Aquarius, the sign of the future, our hopes and dreams, and the sign of change. We're focused on what we hope and dream of, and we can be open to making changes that get us closer to achieving those dreams. We can work independently, but can also work well with groups and make new connections that are beneficial to us. We're excited about the future, and we feel like we're on a new road.
This is super strong now that Pluto is in Aquarius for this New Moon, and we're entering a whole new era. This is a huge time for change, but this isn't small change. It's huge, maybe life-altering at times, and normally that scares us, but with Aquarius, we're ready to go. The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are all also moving to Aquarius or are already in Aquarius for this New Moon, so we're super focused on the future, our dreams, and changes, and we can take the action we need and make great progress quickly. The new moon is square (challenging aspect, 3 signs away) transit (moving) Uranus in Taurus, and Uranus is the natural ruler of Aquarius, so this might bring some challenges when it comes to what we're working on. Since this is such big change and so important for the future, there can naturally be some resistance to work through, old blocks to remove first, and some inner questions to answer. Once we do, we can go forward, but we need to make sure we don't avoid it and act impulsively, otherwise we can create bigger problems. The new moon occurs at 20 degrees 41 minutes Aquarius. The Virgo Full Moon is often a time of heightened productivity. Virgo is the sign of work, and Full Moons rule endings, so we're working hard to get things done. We can tackle projects, tasks, and chores at home or at a job, and we want to feel we're getting all of the little things out of the way. We can be focused and pay close attention to detail, and end up getting many things off of our list of things to do.
The bad thing is, we can take on too much and not take any time for breaks and rest. We need to make sure we're giving ourselves that time so we don't burn out. If we keep going too much, we can get too rundown and lose all momentum. It may be counter-intuitive, but getting enough of a break and rest actually helps us be more productive. This can be a good time to focus on improving stress as well, and we can work on having better stress management. We may tackle issues that are causing stress for us right now, and we can work on resolving and having a better understanding of how to work with it. Virgo is also the sign of health, so we may focus on trying to work on health issues. This can be a good time to eliminate a bad habit, to quit something that is causing us harm, and we can be more dedicated to this. The full moon is trine (beneficial aspect, 4 signs away) transit Ceres in Capricorn, and with Ceres ruling nourishment, support, and resources, we can get support for the work we do with this Full Moon, and we can nourish ourselves in every way, though especially physically. We can feel more resourceful, and can tend to the little things that improve the resources we have access to. The full moon occurs at 5 degrees 23 minutes Virgo.
