The Natal Moon in Astrology
Your natal Moon is part of the astrology triad; along with the Ascendant and Sun, they're the most important part of your natal chart. The Moon rules your emotions, how you emotionally react in situations, and what you need to feel emotionally secure.

Natal Moon in Aries
You react impulsively and using your instinct to situations. You have a short fuse and you blow your top at a moments notice, but you’re not one to hold a grudge (unless you’ve got a lot of Scorpio or a prominent Pluto in your chart). Usually, you just let things go, not taking them to heart, and move on quickly, because you’re always looking for the next thing. You crave action, and need to have something to do all the time, or you’ll get anxious and irritable. This placement is highly impatient, and you don’t want things done now or yesterday, you want them done a week ago! Nothing operates as fast as you’d like it to be, so learning patience can be beneficial (though if you have a lot of earth in your chart, you may not be as impatient as other Aries moons). To feel emotionally secure, you need independence, and anyone who tries to smother you is not someone you’ll want to be around. You can be hard to pin down, and this may be difficult in relationships, though you may be romantic. You need people who are able to not only keep up with you, but actually provide you with some stimulation. When stressed, physical action can help you calm yourself, so try going for a walk or run, dancing, swimming, anything that keeps you active.
Natal Moon in Taurus
Having your Moon in Taurus can make you very emotionally stable, and you’re not one to swing from mood to mood quickly, easily, or routinely. You tend to believe in the “happy medium” thing. The downfall can be a lack of intensity when the moment requires it, especially in situations where you need to react quickly. You try to make situations work for you by squeezing as much time as you can to allow yourself to slowly and deliberately go over things. You don’t take anything too lightly, or too seriously. You’re very sensual, and you love to get in touch with your senses, stimulating each one to allow yourself to feel most in tune with yourself and the earth. You probably like nature (even if you aren’t the camping type, perhaps you like awesome views or are an environmentalist). When you don’t feel so great, you may be prone to overindulging in your senses, usually with food, and sometimes sex. If you find yourself swaying one way emotionally, you can get stuck there, so often Taurus Moon natives who suffer from emotional/psychological problems will get stuck in them for much longer periods of time than most (especially if you have other indicators in your chart, like a lot of Virgo or water).
Natal Moon in Gemini
Gemini always wants to talk, talk, talk, and Gemini Moons almost need conversation like the rest of us need water. Luckily, you’re usually a pretty good conversationalist, engaging and thoughtful. You like to observe people, and since Gemini is mutable, you can also be easily influenced by what you observe. You need a lot of intellectual stimulation and to be kept busy, otherwise you’ll get bored and cranky quickly. You don’t want things to remain as-is with much (unless you’ve got a lot of Scorpio or earth in your chart), preferring constant change, especially at home. You’re mood swings may be most observed by your family and those close to you, so make sure you’re not two-faced, sweet with strangers, sour with loved ones. Usually, if you’re unhappy, it’s because you don’t have enough to do or don’t feel you’re life is changing the way you want it to. You can be prone to trying to apply logic to your emotions and want to talk about your feelings, but this can sometimes not allow you to be truly in touch with your emotions, keeping them at a certain distance, which can confuse your and everyone else around you. Don’t wall yourself off.
Natal Moon in Cancer
You need to feel supported and nurtured, and you like to nurture others as well. You want comfort and familiarity and aren’t fond of major changes, so you try not to rock the boat and can be cautious (just how cautious depends on other factors in the chart; a lot of water or earth may make you overly cautious, while a lot of fire may make you less cautious). You can really get in touch with your emotions, being not only a water sign but the natural ruler of the Moon, and you can have a long memory, especially with things that touch you. This can be bad for those who harm you in some way, because you likely won’t forget any time soon (or ever). Your home and family is vitally important, and you need warm surroundings and a happy hearth. You like peace, you like stability, and you want people to be real. Anyone who makes you feel good and secure is someone you’ll hold onto tight, but you must be careful of clinginess. You’re sensitive, though it may be with your own feelings more than others, and you can feel quite deeply. Experiences and people can touch you in meaningful ways, and sometimes this can make you react illogically.
Natal Moon in Leo
Leo likes to get attention, affection, love, and praise, though with this as your Moon sign, you may not necessarily be an flashy as a Leo Sun (unless you have more Leo in your chart or the Sun in the First House). You feel emotionally secure when you get the praise you think you deserve. You like for people to pay attention to you, and if you feel your loved ones are ignoring you, you’ll mope around and make it a bigger deal than it probably is. Usually, this will only be at home, and not in front of others, because you’re too self-conscious and want people to think the best of you. You may need to make an effort to treat your family well, and not just let them get your moodiness and demand their constant attention. This can be a creative placement, if you’re not too lazy. You can be warm and generous, and want everyone to play fair. You can have an enormous sense of pride, and a wound to your ego stings more than for most of us. You may let go of things quicker, but for the time being, you’ll act like you won’t.
Natal Moon in Virgo
A master of the details, that’s Virgo Moons. You like having things to do and feeling like you’re needed, and don’t mind doing the kinds of things most of us find boring if people show you proper appreciation for it. Depending on other factors, you might be more than happy just living a normal life, which other people may not understand (since most of us are pretty unrealistic!). You like structure and organization, and you might be one of those people who cleans when they’re stressed out. Others may think you’re too predictable, but you’re likely okay with that (unless you’re an Aquarius!), and you’re pretty dependable. When you’re unhappy or stressed, you’re probably a nag and can whine with the best of them. You can be overly analytical and have problems with your nerves. You need to learn how to relax and let yourself just be. You can be too hard on yourself sometimes, and if not handled well, an excessive perfectionist. Hey, we all have flaws, it’s okay! If you’ve got a good sense of humor, then you’re probably self-deprecating (in a good-natured way). In relationships, you’re usually not one for grand gestures, but do a lot of little, everyday things. You like being of service to people and feel you have a purpose.
Natal Moon in Libra
Libra Moons usually feel that they need to be in a relationship to feel secure (unless you’ve got a lot of fire or Aquarius), and you may always spend time around people, hating to be alone. Many of these natives are the ones who can’t eat dinner alone. You want to share everything with people, feeling that strength is in numbers. Just be careful you don’t go from one relationship to the next without spending any time getting to know yourself. You can be charismatic and engaging, and people may be drawn to you. Libra can be a sign that sees everyone’s flaws and is a little (or a lot) judgmental, so you’ve got to learn how to handle a bad hair day. You can be quite competitive, though it usually won’t be in a bad way, and can sway people to see your side easily. If you see people being treated unfairly, it really irks you, and you want “world peace.” You can make compromises with ease, and likely do a lot to keep the harmony. Your home should be a place that’s pleasant and attractive to you.
Natal Moon in Scorpio
Scorpio is intense and doesn’t do things halfway, and with your Moon in Scorpio, you don’t feel anything half-heartedly. You’re super mad, you’re super sad, you’re super happy, you’re super everything. Either the emotions take hold of you and seem to control you (rather than the other way around), and your life is a bit of a chaotic mess, or you use your emotions to aid your quests. You probably feel like you need to transform yourself or your life periodically, so learn to do that without making yourself miserable. You understand the world and people on a level much deeper than the rest of us can see, and have a great ability to dissect people and situations. In relationships, you can be steadfastly loyal and passionate or possessive and jealous and manipulative, and if someone deceives you, you’re out for blood, so don’t double-cross these natives. You’ll never forget anyone who screws you over, and may be prone to fits of vengeance, something you’ll need to get a handle on (if you want to stay out of prison). You can seem to have a lot of strength, even if you don’t (the nature of Pluto), and people basically either like you or get freaked out by you.
Natal Moon in Sagittarius
Sagittarius is a fun-loving, easy-going sign, and with this Moon, you’re a little like jolly old Saint Nick. You love to laugh and have a good time, and you don’t stress out too much, especially about the little things. You’re cheerful and great fun to be around. You value freedom and hate it when you feel trapped. You’re best on your own, on the open road (or open sky if you prefer flying). You may have difficulty being there for people when things aren’t going well, and have a tendency to run when things get too intense. You need to learn to stick around, otherwise you’ll never have a truly fulfilling relationship. Some of you are great teachers, and you can be very devoted to your beliefs. You have an optimism about life that no other sign has, but it can backfire on you sometimes if you’re not realistic. There’s a difference between believing the bills will get paid and actually paying the bills. You’ll likely always be young at heart, and seem warm and friendly to all.
Natal Moon in Capricorn
You always seem to have it all together, not matter what’s happening behind closed doors. When things are falling apart at the seams and everyone’s freaking out, you’re calm, cool, and collected. If there’s ever an emergency, I’m looking for a Capricorn Moon! You don’t let your emotions get the better of you, but at times you can take this to the extreme and be distant and cold. Allow yourself to feel sometimes; it may be messy, and usually is because you hold in too much, but everything can’t be perfect. If you learn to let yourself express your feelings and get in touch with them more often, then you’ll be less likely to have any major meltdowns. Let loved ones in on it too, otherwise they may feel that you don’t care about them because you’re shutting them out. You need to feel like you have a great path in life, and that people look up to you. You likely aren’t a big risk taker (unless you have a lot of fire), though you may be ambitious. Planning for the long haul is usually something you’ll do without realizing it, and this makes you seem even more stable.
Natal Moon in Aquarius
You can feel like you’re an outsider at times, different from everybody else. You’re your own person, and you may have a sense of pride at how different you are, though it may be a response to feeling like you don’t fit in. You can be emotionally detached if you refuse to let yourself feel “bad” emotions, and care too much about being superior. You’re independent and don’t feel you have to rely on anybody, but you need to learn to let other people in, or you’ll be seen as unfeeling. In relationships, some may find you too distant, while others will enjoy the freedom you give people to just be themselves. If someone gives you the space you require, then you can be faithful and reliable, and you’re generally better at friendships than romantic relationships. You value your friendships, and they can be a source of positive self-esteem. Humanitarian efforts are something that appeals to you, though it may be more from a distance than a hands-on experience.
Natal Moon in Pisces
You’re hypersensitive with others and with yourself. You likely cry at all the movies, even the action-comedy. Any little thing can tug at your heartstrings, and you don’t want to see anyone treated badly ever. Compassionate and understanding, you have a hard time hurting a fly. You can be hurt easily, and you may be prone to escapism. You’ve got good instincts when your emotions aren’t all over the place, and they likely are a lot. This Moon can train wreck when they’re really stressed out, and you need a lot of nurturing support. This can be a creative placement, since you have an active imagination and can get lost in daydreams. Some may think you don’t understand reality or that you’re a space cadet (especially if you have a lot of air). You may be drawn to water and music, finding them healing. You may need a certain amount of time alone to recharge, since you’re so sensitive that sometimes the world can be overwhelming. Vacations on secluded beaches are probably paradise for most Pisces Moons. You need to be careful that you don’t let people walk all over you. Being as soft as you are, you need to develop thicker skin.
Natal Moon in the Houses
Natal Moon in the 1st House
You’re very sensitive and can fluctuate like water, changing to fit the situation or people around you. Change comes easily, so you’re not one to get left behind, but you may have trouble differentiating between what you feel/think and what everyone else does. Sometimes you may change too much, unable to let things stay as they are long enough for real progress or success to be had, and you may seem moody. You can emotionally react to situations instantly, without a single thought at all, which is good in that you’re close to your feelings and have better intuition, but not-so-good when you stick your foot in your mouth of go overboard about a situation. You need to learn how to blend your mind and emotions together to make better decisions. You don’t hide your feelings, so everyone knows what’s going on with you, but sometimes discretion is necessary. Sometimes you may wish you had a mute button. How people see you affects your self-esteem, and you value other people’s opinions, sometimes more than your own. Figuring out who you are, especially in regards to your emotional nature, may be something you have to work on for a large chunk of your life.
Natal Moon in the 2nd House
How much money/possessions you have has an impact on your emotionally and dictates your feelings of security. If you feel you have enough, then you’ll feel great; if you don’t, you may go a little bonkers. For some, this may make you a sharp money manager, keeping track of every single penny and making very good long-term investments. For others, this may make you squander money by buying too much, acquiring things because it provides a temporary high (obviously this placement can be prone to shopping addiction if the Moon is difficultly aspected). You’re likely a collector of something, and have a hard time parting with things (just don’t become a hoarder!). You need to strengthen your emotional/spiritual/familial foundation to help you have long-term security. A happy home equates to a happy life for you. You’re not prone to expressing your feelings when you feel them, and you probably go over them carefully before showing them. This can be good in that you don’t say anything you’ll regret, but it can also mean you regret not saying something sooner. You may be strongly attached to your values, and developing a strong value system can help you, so long as you don’t go overboard and become preachy.
Natal Moon in the 3rd House
You need constant mental stimulation, and you likely love to study (maybe not everything, but at least the things you’re interested in, you’ll soak up). You’re a very curious person, always wanting to know more about people/situations, so just be sure you’re not stepping on any toes. You may be good at remembering details, and you may have a lot of random knowledge. Your mind is active, so you likely have a good imagination and you can be creative, especially with anything to do with words. A normal life may not be something you desire, because you always want excitement. Some may let their mind override their emotions, and inject too much logic into their feelings, while others may let their emotions override their mind, and be irrational and illogical. Your emotions color your thoughts no matter what, so trying to find harmony between the two is key. You likely love to communicate with people, and at times you may have problems with anxiety, over thinking things. You can understand other people’s feelings well, but must be careful you don’t take them on as your own.
Natal Moon in the 4th House
The home and family are of utmost importance to you. For some of you, your childhood was wonderfully secure, and your family is everything; for others, it was the pits, and the effect your family had on you was scarring. Either way, your family tends to have a profound effect on you. You want your home to be a happy place, and you want to have a strong familial core. Intimate relationships are significant, and you don’t go for casual relationships/acquaintances. You need nurturing relationships, and you may always be looking for someone to take care of you. As you get older, you’ll need to learn to support yourself, because if you don’t, it’ll hinder you from emotional development. You can be very sentimental, and have strong ties to the past – just be sure you don’t get stuck in the past. Some of you may move a lot, always feeling restless in your home environment, thinking that the restlessness is outward and all you need is a change of residence, but it’s likely an internal thing that needs to be worked on. Once you find where you feel your place is, then you’ll probably stay a long time.
Natal Moon in the 5th House
This can be a highly creative placement. The Fifth House loves to create things, and with the Moon here, it becomes an emotional need to create. This usually manifests as artistic creativity, and many actors, singers, artists, and the like have Fifth House Moons or prominent Fifth Houses. Hobbies can be central, and you need a certain amount of time to be able to pursue your own interests, otherwise you won’t be a happy camper. Expressing yourself is something that you feel you absolutely have to do or you’ll just burst apart, and there may be times where you’re quite the drama queen. A Fifth House Moon is also usually good with children, though you may become attached in unhealthy ways. You’re also very emotional in romantic relationships, and can become attached to romantic partners quickly, so be sure to choose people wisely before you really get involved. There’s nothing wrong with being friends first, though some of you may have a hard time not being in a relationship, being “in love with love.” You can also be easily influenced by other people, so you may need to learn to be more discriminating. Those with very difficultly aspected Moons may have to watch for problems with gambling and negative risk-taking.
Natal Moon in the 6th House
You have a need to be of service to people, and can’t stand being idle, feeling useless. You may be fidgety, and always require something to do. You can plow through the small tasks with ease, and seem to be on the nose with everything. This makes you reliable, and people probably trust you with a lot. You may have trouble sticking with one job, and may go from job to job throughout your life. You need a work environment that keeps you stimulated while also being nurturing. Being healthy is important to you, equating physical health with a good life, though stress may take its toll on your physically. Learn to deal with stress in a positive way, otherwise it will eat away at you more than most. You can be very sensitive and are wounded easily, so take care of yourself. You can be very practical and not give in to many whims. In relationships, you do lots of little things for the person you’re with, though you may have a tendency to get involved with people who you think need to be bettered.
Natal Moon in the 7th House
Relationships are hugely important to you, and you need to have significant, intimate relationships in order to feel secure. You may go from one romantic relationship to the next, people you don’t handle being alone very well. Conversely, you may have a hard time being in relationships that last, because you’re very emotional with partners, and can sometimes be irrational. You desire relationships that nurture, either your partner nurturing you or you nurturing your partner. There can be codependency issues. Some of you may view marriage as the end-all, be-all, like all your troubles would go away if you had a husband/wife. This can lead some to marry young or many times. Marriage may also be desired to secure yourself financially or to give you a better standing in the community. You’re a social person, adapting to any social situation, and you may tally your worth by how many friends/acquaintances/connections you have, sometimes to the detriment of actually having close relationships (like the “popular girl”). It’s important for you to take some time to learn about yourself and be comfortable with only you for company; then you’ll be able t have the truly uplifting relationship you want.
Natal Moon in the 8th House
Your emotions can be intense at times, and you may feel things quite powerfully. Your mind can dwell on the serious side of things, and if you have a sense of humor, it’s probably sarcastic, dry, or dark. Many Eighth House Moons have a tendency to put an enormous amount of emotion into sex, and for some, there is a strong emotional need for a fulfilling sexual relationship. Some (usually if your Moon is difficultly aspected) may take this to the extreme, not engaging in real relationships and just going from one sexual partner to the next on some quest to complete themselves through sex, or even go down the route of sexual addiction. For those who handle this well, you can use sex in your relationships to further the emotional connection you have with your partner, rather than having it instead of the emotional connection. Once you do find someone, you can be incredibly loyal. You want to help people transform themselves, and can get involved in a cause to that effect. What’s going on in the world right now is something you’re always in tune with. You may be good with money related to your business or partnerships, though you’ll have to be careful you don’t use it to control or manipulate others.
Natal Moon in the 9th House
Expanding your mind can make you feel best, and you want to learn about other ways of life. Whatever your life is, you’re intrigued by the opposite, so if you grew up normal, you like eccentric, and if you grew up eccentric, you like normal. You can be interested in philosophy, maybe quoting the great minds of the world, though at times you may not fully understand it. Travel can be good for you, especially to foreign lands, and eating foods from other cultures and learning new languages may interest you. You may have many interests and hobbies, and you don’t mind sharing what you know with others. There can be a sense of pervasive restlessness that requires you to constantly be on the go, and you may have difficulty putting down roots. Your home is the road, or some faraway place in your head. Learning to appreciate the present and what you have at this moment is something that will have to be cultivated, otherwise you’ll never really be happy, always looking for the bigger, better deal. You need a life that allows you to explore while still being able to enjoy the moment.
Natal Moon in the 10th House
Your career means most to you, and you want to succeed no matter what. If you’re not a success, you feel emotionally distressed and insecure. Having your professional life on track is a goal, and you can be quite ambitious. But your emotions may get the best of you at times, and prevent you from being logical enough to do what’s needed for success. Ideally, you should have a profession that allows you to express the Moon in some way, like cooking, or something nurturing like a caregiver, or something to do with the home. You may work in the public eye or with the public. You emotionally desire recognition for your work, and may care greatly about your status in life, being charming and appealing. Be leery of getting trapped into trying to “keep up with the Joneses.” If you can stop yourself from being like that, you can be very practical, and can attain the goals you truly want, rather than being concerned with what everyone else is doing. Having career success may be more important to some of you than having a strong private life, and many will struggle with trying to find a balance.
Natal Moon in the 11th House
It’s likely you are someone who always has a cause, and can be a fervent supporter of something. Once you become emotionally invested in a cause, there’s no backing down. You’ll be a heartfelt devotee til the end. Some may not stick with one thing though, bouncing around from one to the next. You care a great deal about others though, and want to help when you can. Your friends are very important as well, and they can almost be like family (especially for those with harsh family ties). They give you a lot of support, and you give plenty in return. You may be friends with many different types of people, loving diversity and eccentricity. If your friendships are on the rocks, then it’s likely due to an internal emotional problem you’re having. How you view the future and what your dreams are can be tied to your emotions, and may fluctuate with your feelings. You only want the best for everybody, but you may not be set on anything very long, and at times this may make some of you seem superficial, because you just go with what’s the fad.
Natal Moon in the 12th House
The Twelfth House often seems to eat up the planets that are housed within it; it’s not that you don’t have the energy of that planet, it just appears that way on the outside. Twelfth House Moons often come across as people who aren’t very emotional and have a hard time expressing themselves. You can seem emotionally shy and don’t give in the outward displays of emotion. Behind closed doors, with people you’re comfortable with or when you’re alone, you may seem completely different (especially if you have a fire or water Moon). That’s when you let your guard down, though for many with this placement, you may only be able to do this when you’re alone, and may feel quite misunderstood as a result. Most are very insecure, and need to surround themselves with a lot of supportive people, otherwise they may easily become victims. You are pretty sensitive, and you care a great deal about people, even if you have a hard time showing that. Some may use that to work in a field helping others, usually through the medical field or through charitable work. You likely feel best in solitude, away from the world, going over your own internal workings. This placement is usually very spiritually inclined, and can be quite interested in the metaphysical.
Transit Aspects to the Natal Moon
Transit Sun to Natal Moon
With transit Sun conjunct your natal Moon, you feel at one with your emotions, which can make you feel more self-assured with yourself and your direction. Your home is especially good for you now, making you feel more in sync. You’re enthusiastic about life, and it’s a good time to start something new that can be worked on over the next few weeks.
With transit Sun sextile or trine your natal Moon, new prospects may be presented to you that you can deal with well. You can hone your energy on whatever it is you need to get done. Physically, you have more strength, stamina, and feel healthier. You can increase the quality of your relationships with this aspect.
With transit Sun square or opposition your natal Moon, you can be impulsive, doing things without thinking. You may work hard without seeing results, making you frustrated. Trying something new isn’t favorable during these few days. You may not be clear about your feelings, and this can bring problems or start a fight in a relationship. Physically, you’re not up to par, and can feel weaker, sick, or tired. Stress can increase. You can try to deal with this energy by recognizing your emotions and not letting them override logic.
Transit Mercury to Natal Moon
With transit Mercury conjunct your natal Moon, you can put your emotions into words much easier. Communicating them to others can be desired now, but it could also be just dealing with them yourself. No matter what, you’re more conscious of what you’re feeling, so this can be a good time to figure out what you want/need. You could have an important conversation with a female or about one. Communications will likely get a bump now.
With transit Mercury sextile or trine your natal Moon, expressing yourself comes easily, and you’ll have a steady flow of communications. You can asses what it is you want and verbalize it.
With transit Mercury square or opposite your natal Moon, everything you read or hear may not be to your liking. You have a hard time getting your feelings out in the open, or aren’t completely aware of what you’re feeling. Your mind is clouded, making it difficult to work. You can be easily hurt by words. This time can be a little like a personal Mercury retrograde where everything gets thrown out of whack, so just try to relax.
Transit Venus to Natal Moon
With transit Venus conjunct your natal Moon, you’re likely to be in a very pleasant, amorous mood. You can handle everything in stride, not taking life too seriously. Your emotions are soft and this is excellent for romance. It’s also a good time to buy something for the home, a family member, or something that makes you feel good. You feel better, look better, and treat people better.
With transit Venus sextile or trine your natal Moon, you can enjoy life and all the loveliness within it. You’re warm and affectionate, especially with loved ones. You want everyone to get along and have the ability to make that happen. You can be there for someone if they need you. This isn’t really a time to get work done, because you just want to take pleasure in things.
With transit Venus square or opposite your natal Moon, you can still feel good if you don’t let yourself become overly emotional. You can hurt easier in relationships, and get into fights at home. Overindulgence is likely now, but it’s usually not enough to do any damage since this aspect is short. Try to pamper yourself and don’t take anything too much to heart.
Transit Mars to Natal Moon
With transit Mars conjunct your natal Moon, super high energy is the name of the game. You’re going to need some action or you’re going to be cranky. With Mars, there’s always the chance of injury, so watch your step. Make sure you have something to do. Try not to be too impulsive.
With transit Mars sextile or trine your natal Moon, your energy is still high, but you’re in better control of it and less apt to be irritable. Your emotions are strong, but you can channel the energy into something productive. Whatever you do now, you’ll do with gusto.
With transit Mars square or opposite your natal Moon, your emotions may be in the extreme, especially when it comes to anger. Watch for fighting and confrontations, especially needless ones. Your hot head may get you in trouble, especially if you have a temper normally. Again, try to find a physical outlet for your frustrations (maybe time for a kickboxing class?).
Transit Jupiter to Natal Moon
With transit Jupiter conjunct your natal Moon, expansion is the name of the game. Your moods raise and you feel optimistic about everything in life. Just be careful not to overdo it. You want to make happy changes to your home, and you may redecorate to make it reflect your upbeat mood or renovate to expand and make it larger. You can knock down walls and go for that open-concept feel, or move into a larger home. Strengthening your inner foundation is favorable, and you may want to make your relationships with loved ones, especially family, better.
With transit Jupiter sextile or trine your natal Moon, you can usually be optimistic without being delusional about it. You find life to be more pleasurable, and try to have more fun. People see you as open and sociable, making them drawn to you. You may feel a lot better about yourself, even if you don’t quite realize it consciously, but it can permeate in everything you do.
With transit Jupiter square or opposite your natal Moon, you’re prone to overindulgence, and this is a time when many gain weight (this is also possible with the conjunction, though you may have a better chance of controlling it, and you can turn it around and instead use the energy to lose weight). You may feel like your life isn’t good enough or isn’t what you want it to be, and overdo it with things to compensate. Difficult Jupiter aspects are usually not too hard to turn around and make positive if you’re willing, which is usually the rub since the square/opposition likes to make you lazy, and unlikely to try.
Transit Saturn to Natal Moon
With transit Saturn conjunct your natal Moon, you need to evaluate your life and whether or not your emotional needs are being met. If you feel alone and without help, this transit can make that apparent to you, and you must try to remedy the problem. Looking within can be helpful, though it may also be unsettling if you let it be. Confront your issues and try to resolve them. You could feel like you have a lot more responsibility, and some may try to avoid it, but that’s not the right thing to do. This time can be difficult emotionally if you don’t try to use it positively and just run. If you deal with the energy, you can develop greater strength and awareness of reality.
With transit Saturn sextile or trine your natal Moon, you’re not as emotionally in conflict with what must get done. You can handle your responsibilities well, and deal with whatever comes at you. Your emotions are less likely to rule over logic, making this a good time for decision-making. You can feel more like a real mature adult.
With transit Saturn square or opposite your natal Moon, your emotions are likely to be on the downside, and chances are, you’ll be more pessimistic than usual. Watch for depression, especially if you’re prone to going that route anyway. You may emotionally react to situations in a way that isn’t worth it, making them worse in your head than they really are. Loneliness can set in, and problems with the home, mother, and women are likely. It’s hard for you to deal with life right now, and you’re definitely not up for trying new things or doing anything risky. This transit brings extreme caution and insecurity. Just let things go at their own pace and try not to speed everything up or let yourself get too down. Allow yourself to recharge and assess what’s important to you, and if a change in your routine is needed, implement it with care.
Transit Uranus to Natal Moon
With transit Uranus conjunct your natal Moon, change is coming. What kind of change usually depends on you. Your emotional state can undergo a transformation linked to what’s happening to you in your life. Wanting to break free and be different, you could do things that don’t quite seem like you. It probably is you, just a you that hasn’t been accessed in a long time (or ever). You could feel like you’re on the verge of something new and exciting all the time, and have a strong desire for it. If you feel things aren’t changing, then you may think your life is too stagnant and boring, and this can make you irritable and impatient, snapping quickly, and your emotions can swig erratically all over the place. If you’ve been looking to get out from underneath whatever’s bogging you down, this can be the transit that lets you. This transit can also open up restricted outlooks.
With transit Uranus sextile or trine your natal Moon, you can employ changes that aren’t so distressful and in a way that’s positive and easy. You want to be around people and situations that enliven you and anyone or anything you find boring might get the boot. Just be careful not to cut ties with someone or something just because you want more excitement, because you may wish you hadn’t when the transit’s over and you’re back to wanting more practicality. You strive to express yourself freely and be as independent as possible. Your home and family may undergo change, and you can suddenly decide to make an improvement to your residence. It’s a great time to spend with other people, participating in a group or having fun at a party. Women can also be particularly beneficial, and one could help you unexpectedly.
With transit Uranus square or opposition your natal Moon, your feelings burst out of you at record speed, and no matter how much you want to hold it in, you’ll have a hard time doing so. You’re more prone to exploding at a moment’s notice almost to the point of hysterics. Women can bring all kinds of problems for you, especially in love relationships. Your desire for change can be almost irrational, and you may seem like a rebellious teenager (which isn’t great if you’re not a teenager!). The desire can almost engulf you, and you’re prone to causing upheaval in your life without thinking straight. Try to wrangle the energy and be cautious with the changes you make.
Transit Neptune to Natal Moon
With transit Neptune conjunct your natal Moon, you must be careful of whom you associate and spend time with. Neptune is a chameleon, and when it’s conjunct your Moon, you mirror the people that are in your life. Chances are, if you’re behaving badly, you need to make some new friends. Surrounding yourself with stable, positive people will help make this transit smoother. You’re very sensitive to people’s emotions and to your environment, picking up subtle energy shifts. This can be good in that it makes you more caring, empathetic, and intuitive, but it also makes you vulnerable, so take care of yourself. Women can have extra influence on you, and you may have to deal with your mother somehow. Strange illnesses that have a hard time being diagnosed can come about now.
With transit Neptune sextile or trine your natal Moon, you will still be more sensitive, but better able to control your emotions and prevent others from crossing emotional boundaries. Your imagination is highly active, and your dreams are sweet and help ease your mind. Intuition is higher, and this helps in all facets of life because you can trust your gut. This is an extremely good aspect for anyone in a creative field, because you can channel all the energy into making your work better. You can be more open to the metaphysical, and healing work is good.
With transit Neptune square or opposite your natal Moon, your intuition can easily lead you down the wrong path. With Neptune, it can be difficult to see the reality of situations and not the illusions Neptune likes, which can make any decisions difficult and make it harder for you to figure out which way you’re going. Your conscious and subconscious mind can blend together, causing you to have a hard time understanding the line between what’s real and what’s in your head. You’re energetically open, so you soak up other people’s moods – and problems. This can make it even more difficult on you, as you feel other people’s problems as if they’re your own, which in turn makes it difficult to sort through your own issues. There can be a tendency to want to escape, so if you go down that path, be careful of what you’re running with and to. If you can deal with the energy, you can be incredibly compassionate and tap into mystical energies with ease. Don’t withdraw into yourself too much, and try to remain as grounded as you can, keeping stable people around you and a stable routine to keep your healthy.
Transit Pluto to Natal Moon
With transit Pluto conjunct your natal Moon, it’s a period of great change, to yourself and to your environment. Pluto is all about transformations, and when Pluto conjuncts your Moon, you make transformations that will enhance your emotional state. This may first require that you strip everything away that isn’t working and start from scratch. Often the changes made are profound and, when looked back upon, turning points. It can be an intense period, and generally, whether it’s positive or negative depends on other aspects and how you deal with things. If handled negatively, then this will be a time of upheaval, stress, and irrationality. If handled well, then you can make changes to your life you never dreamed of.
With transit Pluto sextile or trine your natal Moon, you have a strong yearning for change, but it’s not overwhelming or stressful. You can develop an understanding of your emotional makeup and expand your relationships, growing closer to loved ones. They become more encouraging of you, and allow you to grow more as a person. This is usually a good time to extensively renovate your home.
With transit Pluto square or opposite your natal Moon, you’re usually in for a rough ride. I experienced the square as a teenager, and pretty much lost my marbles (of course, I also had my progressed moon moving through Scorpio, and Pluto had recently entered my Second House, a time of unstable security if your life is already on shaky ground). The likelihood of experiencing problems like depression or anxiety is much higher, as your emotions take hold of you and can spiral out of control. Subconscious issues are brought to the surface, and you’re often forced to confront deep-seated emotional and psychological problems that you just want nothing to do with. If you resist, that only makes it worse. This is one of the most difficult aspects to handle, and can show a darker side to yourself than you imagined you had. Your emotions are extreme and varying, and you’re vulnerable to the max. If you tend to escapism, then you’ll likely go that route, and lose yourself in something self-destructive. If you’re lucky, this aspect will hit at a time when you’ve worked through any emotional/psychological problems, have built a stable, secure life, and are an overall happy person, because then you’ll likely escape the worst, and you can try to use the energy positively. But Pluto is a sneaky bloodsucker who usually picks his prey well, so search out the name of a good therapist ahead of time.

You may avoid confrontation though, having a hard time dealing with conflict, and do what other people want too much.
With your natal Sun square or opposite your natal Moon, you have a lot of struggle with what you want versus what you need out of life. With the opposition, it’s internal, and with the square, it’s external. You have a hard time focusing your energy and will on one thing, and you feel pulled in different directions at the same time. Your energy can be up and then down. You likely had issues with your parents being too demanding or wanting different things from you. You are driven, and if you can find a way to channel the energy, you can be very successful.

You’re a talker, especially when you’re anxious, and humorous.

People are attracted to you without knowing why. You can overindulge when you’re upset to make yourself feel happy.
With your natal Moon sextile or trine natal Venus, you’re naturally charming, can compromise easily, and can attract good things and people to you. Just don’t think you can sit back and let everyone else do the work. If you put in some work, you’ll get more out of it than most.

You’re easily bored, and need constant excitement and variety. You can be honest to a fault, and it gets you in trouble sometimes. You need to try to channel all of your energy into something constructive so it doesn’t turn on you. You’re highly competitive, and can be good with sports.

You’re always looking at the brighter side of situations, and can get yourself out of any dark mood. You love to help people and are very giving, and you try to help them out of hardships. With your natal Moon square or opposite natal Jupiter, you want to help people, but can go too far and hurt yourself in the process, or try to give far more than you’re capable of. You can forgive people too easily when you shouldn’t. Your emotions can go too high or too low at times, and you have to learn to rein yourself in and deal with reality. You can be lazy and indulgent, expecting everyone to do everything for you. Conversely, you can do too much for others.
Natal Moon to Natal Saturn
With your natal Moon conjunct natal Saturn, you’re a serious person, sometimes too much, and you come across as practical, distant, and cautious. You’re more sensitive than you want people to know, and you keep people at a distance, but deep down, you need support. Life seems better and you seem more comfortable in your own skin as you get older.

You’re patient, take a practical approach, and are responsible. You try to make good decisions, and you think about how those decisions will impact you and everyone else.
With your natal Moon square or opposite natal Saturn, you tend to be insecure and doubt yourself too much. You question people’s motives, especially when they’re being nice to you, subconsciously believing that no one can really care about you. This sets you up to fail in relationships, so you have to work on changing this belief by tackling whatever caused you to think this way in the first place.
Natal Moon to Natal Uranus
With your natal Moon conjunct natal Uranus, you’re an independent person and need to live an unconventional life in some way. Your emotions can sway from one direction to the other quickly, and you can seem erratic at times. You don’t want to feel as though you’re being suffocated, especially at home, and need variety. You may have a hard time becoming close to people emotionally because you don’t want to become dependent on anyone.

You’d prefer not to take life too seriously, and can’t stand people who do. You’re up for exploring and want to make life exciting.
With your natal Moon square or opposite natal Uranus, you’re torn between dependence and independence. You know you need people in your life to love, support, and nurture you, but you also need space and room to do your own thing without anyone to answer to. This internal war can make you too independent or too dependent, or sway between the two. There’s always constant change in your life, adding to this. You need to find a balance between your need for others and your need for personal space, and accept that you need a certain degree of change in your life.

You may have a hard time actively pursuing your goals, and have to cultivate that trait.
With your natal Moon square or opposite natal Neptune, you can be erratic emotionally, high one minute, low the next. You can be unrealistic with what you want out of life, dreaming too big and getting lost in fantasy, or becoming depressed and out of touch. It’s difficult for you to wrangle your emotions and get them under control. You tend to avoid issues instead of facing them, and have to force yourself to deal with problems, otherwise you’ll always put them off and never deal with them. It would be good for you to find a way to channel your creativity into something productive.
