February 7th 2012 Full Moon in Leo
A full moon occurs at 4:54PM at 18 degrees 31 minutes of Leo. In Leo, this Full Moon is good to end a creative project, or elevate your creativity, linking it more deeply to your emotions. Everyone may seem a little more drama queen now, and their emotions may be busting through the surface with flair. Don't create problems out of thin air or just for the fun of being dramatic. This Full Moon opposes Mercury, which could bring difficulties with communications. It may seem like everyone is having a hard time understanding each other. There could be more problems with technology as well, and with neighbors, siblings, or young people. If you're a Leo Sun, Moon, or mid-Leo rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.
February 21st 2012 New Moon in Pisces
A new moon occurs at 5:35PM at 2 degrees 42 minutes of Pisces. This is a good Moon to explore your subconscious, your dreams, and anything hidden below the surface. You may want to submerge yourself into something to escape the mundane of the day-to-day and enter a fantasy world. It's good to read a book or watch a movie and really get a feel for them. Water, feet, and music may be more prominent. Go out and do something good for someone else, volunteering or giving of yourself in some way. This New Moon conjuncts Neptune, the natural ruler of Pisces, a pleasing aspect making the Neptune/Pisces influence more pronounced. If you're a Pisces Sun, Moon, or rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.

Mars turns retrograde in Virgo starting at 7:54PM ET on January 23rd. A planet is retrograde when it appears to be moving backwards from our vantage point here on Earth. Mars turns retrograde about once every two years, and it lasts for several months. Mars rules our energy and drive, so a Mars retrograde squashes that. We have less energy and less drive to get things done. You may have already been seeing the effects of Mars retrograde; when I was out yesterday, I noticed how so many people seemed lethargic and slow, so many had short tempers and little patience, and the roads were a nightmare. That’s typical of a Mars retrograde.
This Mars retrograde begins at 23 degrees of Virgo, and ends at 3 degrees of Virgo, occurring entirely in the zodiac sign of Virgo. Virgo rules our health, pets, daily habits, and work environment, so on a macro level, these will be the things that overall will be most impacted. On a micro level, for you personally, you need to look at the house(s) Mars will be retrograding through, and the things the house(s) rules will be impacted the most for you.
Dates to look out for most during this retrograde, when things will be the most difficult overall:
Jan 26th - 11:53PM ET: Mars opposes transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Feb 2nd - 6:41PM ET: Mars opposes transit Venus - less energy/more arguments with loved ones
Feb 10th - 12:11AM ET: Mars conjunct transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Feb 22nd - 9:24PM ET: Mars opposes transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Feb 23rd - 6:25AM ET: Mars opposes transit Mercury - argumentative, problems with technology
Mar 3rd - 3:10PM ET: Mars opposes transit Sun - arguments, more accidents
Mar 7th - 6:28PM ET: Mars conjunct transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Mar 14th - a big day to watch as Mars trines Venus (3:27AM ET), trines Jupiter (5:51AM ET), and trines Pluto (8:24PM ET) in a grand earth trine - may experience in a lull in the Mars madness
Mar 20th - 10:25AM ET: Mars opposes transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Apr 3rd - 5:16PM ET: Mars conjunct transit Moon - short tempers, overly emotional
Apr 7th - 7:36PM ET: Mars squares transit Venus - less energy/more arguments with loved ones
Mars turns direct on April 13th at 11:53PM ET and at 3 degrees Virgo, which will be in orb square transit Neptune at 2 degrees Pisces. This aspect will be felt for the entire month of April, so overall, people’s energies may not seem very in tune at all, even after the direct. Unfocused, undirected, uncertain, scattered.
As always, if you have Mars retrograde in your natal or progressed chart, you’re exempt from the worst of its effects, and instead will feel this energy as incredibly natural to you. Just remember that while you may have Mars retrograde natally or progressed, that doesn’t mean everyone else you encounter will too, so you could still see problems brought on by others.
Let’s just hunker down and get through this one with as little fighting as possible folks!
