We're really coming along with 2017! Guess these retrogrades are pushing us through (maybe in spite of us!). Anywho, we'll have a full moon in Scorpio on May 10th at 5:42PM ET, when we're finally done with these ghastly retrogrades. Woo hoo for that, buuuuut Scorpio full moons tend to be very serious. Scorpio is a serious, deep sign, and full moons are emotional and introspective, so we may be looking back over the last few months with serious approaches and try to understand what's come to pass. We can look deep within ourselves, and try to unearth some of the demons in our depths. It's a time to dig, research, and deal with the dark side.
Scorpio rules transformations, so that can be a good use of the energy. Work on transformations for the better, and focus on ways to evolve into a better person or evolve your life to be truer to who you are and to help you with your ultimate happiness. Scorpio is the phoenix rising from the ashes, so it can be a good time to focus on areas where you've experienced defeat and work on regaining strength and being more willful.
Scorpio also rules other people's money - taxes, debs, loans, inheritances, joint finances - so we can work on settling issues with these. There could be some financial developments or news in the world, maybe some budget announcements or something like that.
Oh, and with Scorpio ruling the dark side, and all of this Russia stuff we can't seem to escape - some sort of culmination there? Perhaps some murkier parts of the story are told. Though this can be true with anything these days!
This full moon will also be sextile (positive aspect, two signs away) Pluto in Capricorn, and Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio, so that can bring an easier energy to this full moon, and help us focus on more positive manifestations and uses. Transform, understand, and bring the dark into the light - yes!
The full moon occurs at 20 degrees 24 minutes in Scorpio. The major aspects for this full moon are:
Conjunction: 18 degrees 24 minutes - 22 degrees 26 minutes Scorpio

Trine: 18 degrees 24 minutes - 22 degrees 26 minutes Cancer or Pisces
Opposition: 18 degrees 24 minutes - 22 degrees 26 minutes Taurus
May's new moon occurs in Gemini on May 25th at 3:44PM ET, and this new moon is a lot lighter than the full moon. Gemini is the sign of the mind, so we can be less emotional and more focused on our ideas, opinions, information, and plans. We can have a more positive outlook and can be excited by what we're focused on. Our interest can vary, and our focus can be pulled from this to that, but we find it all fascinating for a little while. There can be more sharing of information and knowledge, and we can be open to learning and communicating clearly. No doubt something we need after the retrogrades!
Gemini rules young people, so they can have more energy or get more focus. Perhaps more focus on education, or young people want to have more of a say. We can all be focused on being heard, and there can be a lot of talk. Gemini is also the sign of the Twins, so we can have a split focus with this new moon, and find we're focused on or excited by different things, maybe in different ways.
We can seem busier, keeping our schedules fuller, and wanting to have lots to do to use up mental energy and stimulate our minds. It's a time to be social, to be engaged, and to connect with our minds.
