November 2013 Full & New Moons: Solar Eclipse in Scorpio & Full Moon in Taurus
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are exactly opposing one another in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of endings, culminations, and things coming to fruition. A new moon occurs when when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism. A solar eclipse is like a new moon. For information on how the new/full moons may impact your sign, read the monthly horoscope. November 3rd 2013 Solar Eclipse in Scorpio A solar eclipse occurs at 7:50AM ET at 11 degrees 16 minutes of Scorpio. In Scorpio, we can be serious and focus on what needs our attention. We can analyze situations, circumstances, people, and emotions. We can feel deeply and intensely, but we can be constructive with our emotions. Passion increases, and we try to develop more intimacy in our lives. We crave deeper, stronger bonds. Dealings with other people's money (taxes, debts, loans, inheritances, joint finances) can go well, and we can see countries putting out good news about their finances. Scorpio is one of the war signs, and we could see some putting down their arms and ceasing fire. This could last since it's an eclipse, which has more impact. This eclipse is also sextile (positive aspect) transit (moving) Mars in Virgo, so our energy is good, we're driven and focused on what we want, and we can get things done. The only trouble with this eclipse is that Mercury is retrograde at the same time in the same sign as this eclipse, so we might have trouble feeling as optimistic about things as we should, or not see the positive impact of this eclipse right away. Have patience. Remember that eclipses can impact us for up to six months. If you're a Scorpio Sun, Moon, or mid-Scorpio rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most. November 18th 2013 Full Moon in Taurus A full moon occurs at 10:16AM ET at 25 degrees 26 minutes of Taurus. In Taurus, our emotions stay even, and we try to remain grounded. We feel and experience the world through our senses, and we want to indulge so we can feel more or to make ourselves feel better. Something could end regarding money, and it makes us uneasy. Our sense of security, confidence, and worth could be shaken or need to be addressed. We pay too much attention to what other people or countries think of us, and that dictates how we feel. We shouldn't pay too much attention, or it'll drive us to do things we shouldn't do, and lose confidence in ourselves. Those other people likely have ulterior motives, so tune them out. If you're a Taurus Sun, Moon, or late Taurus rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most. Comments are closed.
