March 2014 Full & New Moons: New Moon in Pisces, Full Moon in Virgo, & New Moon in Aries
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are exactly opposing one another in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of endings, culminations, and things coming to fruition. A new moon occurs when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism. For information on how the new/full moons may impact your sign, read the monthly horoscope. March 1st 2014 New Moon in Pisces A new moon occurs at 3AM ET at 10 degrees 39 minutes of Pisces. In Pisces, we’re compassionate and want to help those who can’t help themselves, but we don’t reach out in an emotional way. We reach out in an optimistic way, believing that what we do will have a positive impact on the world, and that excites us. Our imaginations run rampant, and the creative among us find inspiration everywhere. We could hear good news involving music, feet, or water. We’re more spiritual but not so preachy, and we’re willing to let go of what we no longer need so we can make room for what comes next. This new moon is trine (positive aspect) transit (moving) Jupiter in Cancer, and we’re optimistic, seek to expand our lives, and feel really good. If you're a Pisces Sun, Moon, or mid-Pisces rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most. March 16th 2014 Full Moon in Virgo A full moon occurs at 1:08PM ET at 26 degrees 1 minute of Virgo. In Virgo, we seek perfection at all costs, and the less perfect we feel, the more we demand it of ourselves. We’re too hard on ourselves, and need to learn to relax. We stress ourselves into heart attacks, and beat ourselves up over little things. We need to take a step back and not get so lost in the small things, the details. We throw ourselves into work when we’re upset, and distract ourselves with tedious, mundane tasks and chores. When stressed, we crave structure and order, and we can be a little too neurotic with that. We could hear something disturbing about a workplace or employment, regarding a health issue or dealing with pets. If you're a Virgo Sun, Moon, or late Virgo rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most. March 30th 2014 New Moon in Aries A new moon occurs at 2:45PM ET at 9 degrees 58 minutes of Aries. We have a second new moon in March, and in Aries, we want to hit the ground running. We have so much we want to try, and we’re enthusiastic about all of it. We’re buzzing with excitement, and we’re ready to embark on new journeys, new paths, and new projects. We don’t stick to anything too long though, and we can be a little impulsive, impatient, and short-tempered. This is especially true since the ruler of Aries, Mars, will be retrograde (appears to be moving backward) when this new moon occurs, and this new moon is conjunct (in the same spot as) transit (moving) Uranus, a planet of the unexpected, impatient, and sudden. This new moon is also square (hard aspect) transit Jupiter, which can make us lazy and indulgent, or believe in ideas that aren’t as real as we think they are. There could be some trouble with this new moon, and all of our own making. If you're an Aries Sun, Moon, or mid-Aries rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most. Comments are closed.
