On September 17th 2024, we have a Pisces Lunar Eclipse, and this is the second Lunar Eclipse of the year, and the first in some time in Pisces. Pisces is a water sign, emotional and intuitive, and a mutable sign, flowing and adaptable. It's ruled by Neptune, spiritual, compassionate, and imaginative. This energy is extra strong since the eclipse is conjunct (aligned with) Neptune in Pisces. Lunar Eclipses occur with Full Moons, and are times of heightened emotional energy. We tend to see major developments and culminations with Lunar Eclipses. Things that are long in the making can finally see some progress, good or bad. Don't get caught up in all of the emotion and developments! Use this eclipse to your advantage and follow this checklist, outlining ways you can maximize the Pisces Lunar Eclipse: Release Something Big.
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac, which means it's associated with endings. Lunar Eclipses are also seen as times for endings, so this is the perfect eclipse for a big ending. This isn't just any ending though, this is something that has been holding you back for a long time, and it's time to let it go.
This might be challenging as it stirs up strong emotions, and there can be some fear associated with letting go. Who are you without it? But you know that it's weighing you down and has served its purpose. Now, don't be all wackadoodle about it. Be smart. Saturn, the planet of responsibility, is in Pisces for this eclipse, so Saturn demands that anything we do is smart. Think it through, do your homework, make plans, and carefully go forth. Prioritize Sleep.
Lunar Eclipses tend to be draining times, and Pisces is actually a ruler of sleep, so try to make more time to get extra rest, take little naps, and constantly recharging and refreshing yourself.
If you can't make more time for rest, then do what you can to maximize the time you already get. Discover ways to fall asleep faster, to stop waking up throughout the night, or to sleep more soundly, whatever your issue is. This might mean creating a new bedtime ritual, trying a supplement or tea, getting new pajamas, bedding, or pillows, trying out sleep masks, using a white noise machine, experimenting with ways to improve your breathing while sleeping, playing with room temperature. Or anything else! Strengthen Intuition.
Lunar Eclipses have strong spiritual and karmic energy, so intuition tends to be pretty high. That's way more the case with this one since Pisces and Neptune rule intuition!
Play around with intuitive exercises to strengthen your intuition, or work on blocks you know you have to access it well. Remember you can start out small and work your way up. One easy thing to do is to pay attention to your dreams. Try keeping a dream journal by your bed or on your phone, and quickly jot down what you remember when you wake up. Come back later to analyze its contents, how you felt, and what messages might be there for you. Analyze the Past Honestly.
Pisces rules our past, what has already happened and we carry with us. Take some time with this Pisces Lunar Eclipse to analyze what has come to pass in your life thus far. Go over each area of your life, and be honest in your assessments.
This kind of analysis can go a long way toward helping you figure out what needs to change in your life, and how to go about it. Eclipse Season is a time for change, and it's challenging us to do things differently. And Saturn demands honesty, being realistic, so see things as they really are. This doesn't mean you need to be hard on yourself or others though. Have some compassion for them, and show yourself some grace. Get Out Of Your Own Way.
Pisces actually rules the ways in which we are our own worst enemy, how we get in our own way, and with the emotional, subconscious, spiritual, and karmic energy swirling for this eclipse, this can become much more obvious.
We all tend to self-destruct in some manner, in certain situations or with certain people, when we're feeling a certain way, or maybe constantly (maybe you haven't started therapy yet). Pinpoint what it is for you that makes you blow internally. Where did this come from? What can you do differently that would be healthy for you now? Start with small steps, if you need to go slow.
