A new moon occurs when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism.

May 3rd 2015 Full Moon in Scorpio
A full moon occurs at 11:42PM ET at 13 degrees 22 minutes of Scorpio. In Scorpio, we’re obsessive. We become completely engulfed in whatever has our attention, and we don’t want to see anything else. We can be possessive, clingy, and jealous in love, and we’re so intense that no one wants to be around us, not even us. We’re moody and swing from one extreme emotion to the next when upset, and we have to work on calming ourselves down better. We can become enraged and do something we regret later. Something deep inside of us is boiling, and we’ll erupt if we don’t face it. Something dark needs to be brought into the light. Business partnerships can experience some issues, along with other people’s money (taxes, debts, loans, inheritances, joint finances). We can end a transformation now, and see how much things have changed. This full moon is square (hard aspect) transit (moving) Jupiter in Leo, and we have trouble seeing the bright side of anything, being too pessimistic at times. If you're a Scorpio Sun, Moon, or mid-Scorpio rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.
May 18th 2015 New Moon in Taurus
A new moon occurs at 12:13AM ET at 26 degrees 55 minutes of Taurus. In Taurus, we want to kick back and relax. We’re coming off of a serious full moon, and just need a break. We want to indulge, get in touch with our senses, experience the world through our bodies, and connect with the Earth. We live in the moment, breathing the moment, feeling everything in the moment. We want more and more of everything, and focus on having more things of value. Taurus rules money, so we can see some positive development regarding money. We feel more secure and confident, and we can take care of ourselves. We keep our emotions in check, and we don’t feel the need to have any sort of outburst. If we stay calm, we can make everything alright. If you're a Taurus Sun, Moon, or late Taurus rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most.
