There are many options for working as an astrologer these days. You used to only be able to do it in person (and it was only a select few who got to). Then came the phone, and then came the internet. The internet blew everything up! (ha!) Now anyone with an internet connection can become an online astrologer. But of course, it's not quite as simple as that. You do still have a lot of work to do if this is what you decide to do. So, what do you need to do to start a online astrology business?
Create Your Online Home
First, you need to create your online home - your website or blog. You'll need to decide the name you're going to use (your own or a business name), and see if the domain is available, as well as social media accounts for the name or similar. You have to set the website up; Wordpress is the single most commonly used platform for websites, but it can be difficult to navigate if you're not tech savvy. Thankfully, there are now platforms like Wix, web hosts with drag-and-drop editors to create your website, to make it simple for us tech-idiots. If you want to skip a website and blog entirely, you can use a website alternative option like Etsy or Patreon, or use a social media account. So many options now!
You'll need to generate some traffic for your website, blog, or website alternative. Because duh, you won't sell any consultations if no one is coming to your page, and you can only make use of friends and family for so long. You'll need to learn a little SEO if you're using a website or blog, and tricks for traffic for website alternatives. Social media can be of big help for traffic, especially Pinterest, and help you to start building up an audience.
Grow Your Client List
As your audience grows, so too should your client list. If you know what you're doing with your client list, you can generate a good amount of income from a small amount of people, so learning how to do that is important. Finding new clients online and retaining those clients so they keep coming back can keep your business going for a long time.
Once your schedule starts getting packed with consultations, it's time to create other products to sell - ebooks, courses, subscriptions, etc. This allows you to grow your business way more than just doing consultations since you can reach more people. You'll also want to work on an email list when you want to sell products since the email list is the best way to sell them.
