August 14th 2015 New Moon in Leo
A new moon occurs at 10:53AM ET at 21 degrees 30 minutes of Leo. In Leo, we want to have fun, enjoy ourselves, and goof off. We play hooky and get away from work so we can start vacations early, get an early start on the weekend, and have more time to play. Our inner child wants to come out, and we want to focus on our hobbies and the things we take pleasure in. We can be flirty, date more, and keep love casual. This new moon is conjunct (in the same spot as) transit (moving) Venus, which is retrograde (appearing to move backward) in Leo. Love certainly is on our minds, and we focus on our love relationships, all of the good and all of the bad in them. This new moon is also trine (positive aspect) transit Uranus in Aries, and we want to try something new, go against the grain, and be ourselves. If you're a Leo Sun, Moon, or late Leo rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most.
August 29th 2015 Full Moon in Pisces
A full moon occurs at 2:35PM ET at 6 degrees 6 minutes of Pisces. In Pisces, we’re so sensitive that we bruise like a peach. We feel every hurt more deeply, and we try to hide it, but it only gets worse. We care so much, too much, and we feel not only for ourselves, but for others as well. We want to save everyone from everything, but we ignore ourselves and end up needing to be saved as well. Our subconscious mind can become stronger, and we focus on old issues, the past, karma, and baggage that needs to be let go of. We’re sensitive to the world around us, to subtle shifts in energy, and so our intuition is heightened, and we should listen to our gut. We could see something come out regarding water, poisoning, or drugs. If you’re a Pisces Sun, Moon, or rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.
