Asteroid Deuacalion was found in 1999, and is outside of Neptune's orbit. Deucalion was the son of Prometheus, and ruled Phthia. His story is a little like Noah's Ark; his father warned him of a flood, so Deucalion built an ark for he and his wife. They were the only ones who survived, and then repopulated the Earth.
In astrology, Deucalion shows where you have to start over and use what you've learned. On astro.com, Deaucalion is number 53311. My Deucalion is conjunct Mercury (mental transformation) and Apollo (when I take things for granted, I'm forced to start over), square Hermes (need to be smart about it), and opposite Achilles (if I resist, uh oh trouble!). Deucalion is in Libra and my 11th house. Relationships and partnerships seem to be a way for me to transform and start over. I can get second chances with my dreams? (or is that just hoping?) I give my friends second chances (probably too many of them over the years), and believe everyone can start over and change (even though I know that's not really true).
In transit, Deucalion can show where you're starting over in life, or what you're getting a second chance with. To find where Deucalion currently is located you can use astro.com (go to extended chart selection, then click on ephemeris, and type 53311 in the additional asteroids and other objects section). It seems that Deucalion is currently in Scorpio (between 12 and 15 degrees for the rest of the year), which puts Deucalion in my 1st house - super-starting-over-ness! So what does Deucalion do in your chart?
