April 2014 Full & New Moons: Lunar Eclipse in Libra & Solar Eclipse on Taurus
A full moon occurs when the transit (moving) Sun and Moon are exactly opposing one another in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of endings, culminations, and things coming to fruition. A new moon occurs when the transit Sun and Moon are in the exact same spot in the zodiac. It tends to signal a time of new opportunities, growth, and optimism. A lunar eclipse is like a full moon, and a solar eclipse is like a new moon.

April 15th 2014 Lunar Eclipse in Libra
A lunar eclipse occurs at 3:42AM ET at 25 degrees 20 minutes of Libra. In Libra, we can commit fully to the people that are good for us, the ideas that are smartest, and the beliefs that make the most sense, and eliminate the rest. We can see a lot of breaking up with this eclipse, especially since Mars is retrograde (appears to move backward) at the same time in Libra as well. It may seem like no one stays together anymore, but we’re just purging the bad people and relationships from our lives. We have to assess what’s really important to us with those we’re close to, and make hard choices about who should stay and who should go. We crave more balance in our lives, and when we feel out of balance in any area, it throws everything off. When we don’t have the peace and harmony in our lives that we need, we can’t function properly. We could see the end of a peace agreement, or problems keeping the peace with this eclipse. Remember that the impact of eclipses can last up to six months. If you're a Libra Sun, Moon, or late Libra rising, you may feel the effects of this moon most.
April 29th 2014 Solar Eclipse in Taurus
A solar eclipse occurs at 2:14AM ET at 8 degrees 54 minutes of Taurus. In Taurus, we want to kick back and relax for a little while. We feel like life has been too hectic, and now, we need a break. Get some of your favorite food and some wine, and have a lazy day. Our senses are heightened, and we need a little indulgence. We feel more safe and secure, and we’re slow to make any big changes, but we do commit ourselves to the decisions we make completely. We could see some important news regarding finances. This eclipse is sextile (positive aspect) transit (moving) Neptune in Pisces, and our imaginations are active, and we try to be sensitive and compassionate. Remember that the impact of eclipses can last up to six months. If you're a Taurus Sun, Moon, or mid-Taurus rising, you may feels the effects of this moon most.
